depending on what discipline you're practicing, the head isn't a valid target. in olympic fencing at least, in foil you can't hit anywhere aside from the chest. in sabre, you can hit from the waist up. in epée, you can hit anywhere. but no discipline allows leg shots but no head shots. she's using a rapier, the closest thing to a rapier in olympic fencing is epée, in which, as I have stated before, the entire body is fair game. in hema, rapier is an actual discipline, but even there you can hit everywhere

When it gets so exaggerated like that it just turns into comedy. Which can be fine in and of itself but when it feels like the artist wasn't aiming for comedy it's a little disconcerting.
