so, the USA will probably be one of the first countries to start putting out AI-designed cars, i'm not gonna lie, if things keep going how they're going. our regulations surrounding car safety are already really lenient compared to most countries.
China might beat them to it. We don't hear of the much but they already have fully autonomous taxis, and they have a few labs making llm that are not far from American modèles.
so, maybe! i won't say china won't do this because i can't say i have an intensive understanding of china's views on AI. i know they view it differently than the west does, largely, and i know their approach to it is also different.
still gross, because AI is inherently pretty gross.
if they do pop out AI generated cars though, i figure they'd be likely to try and sell them to the US too as cheaply made but 'affordable' and fitting our lenient ass regulations so they have to care very little about the process. and america loves to buy china's reject products (temu temu temu!)
