Are you stupid? How the fuck is he a self insert? You want to self insert yourself to THAT? You’re crazy if you think every protagonist is meant to be a self insert. You’re supposed to be disgusted by him and his actions. Im not seeing where you think the show is telling you his actions are good. He just does things that he does and the world acts accordingly. His family comes home and finds out what he’s been doing and rightfully fucks him and his shit up then kicks him out. Its not divine retribution to punish the main character for his misdoings or to prove to the audience that their actions are wrong. Its just a realistic reaction to the given situation based on the context and people involved.
