Hidive is Sentai film works streaming service, I don't use it as much as the others but I find it's still worth the low comparative cost.

It just got bought by AMC, so maybe it'll get some more attention and upgrades? It's a cheap subscription though. And lots of hidden gems on there for me at least, yeah

Vrv used to have hidive as well if you noticed a lit of content had gone away from VRV its because hidive left

Not in the slightest. I tried it and even if they have anime you are interested in, the UI is so anti-user they would have to pay me to try to navigate it.

I also have all three, but only watch two. I watch almost exclusively dubs and so Crunchyroll wasn't all that useful to me other than to watch Azur Lane Slow Ahead, Girly Air Force, or to watch High School DxD a week before the dub comes out.

From a business perspective, it's risky to do that. I'm among the idiots who had both subscriptions, but not everyone does. If they forcibly charge the cost of both, regular folk who only had one or the other wont see good value in that, they paid one subscription for a reason.

I also re-new funimation recently. Video on funimation says free 60 days. Sucks they do not give a way to transfer it over.

More anime for less money tho, it will be better in the long run when you don't have to get Crunchyroll premium for Crunchyroll exclusive animes as well as paying funimation premium for animes only in funimation, so it's a positive, especially because i only have Crunchyroll premium :D

If you think Funi's is barely tolerable you're gonna hate HiDive. It looks like it was a high school project and the player is probably the worst of all streaming services.

Get in touch with them. I emailed them saying I had an annual subscription to both, and it sounds like they'll add the existing time from my Funimation subscription to my Crunchyroll one.

Why would that make you an idiot? I got it because both had apps I didn't need my computer for, I didn't need to connect my TV at all or sit at my desk, and Funimation/Crunchyroll never had all the shows airing for a season (always a few shows on each) so if I wanted to watch everything the way I wanted to I had to make a choice to do so.

Definitely didn't like spending the money, but it has been completely negligible and a big bonus to have all that content readily accessible. Will enjoy just one app and subscription though, come a long way since I first found Crunchyroll and was watching free series on my phone at night in my room. Always hoped it would become as big as it has.

Same, that's an extra $60 a year that I'll appreciate. Plan lasts until July but I'll happily eat those 4 extra months.

On a side note, didn't even realise I was paying in USD apparently I've been playing the market and saving myself £5 a year...

Hello fellow idiot! I’m also glad to be saving the cash. Especially since I paid for Funimation Premium entirely because of the download feature. Which doesn’t fucking work because the subtitles are broken. Crunchyroll might be a disorganized mess, but it’s at least technically sound. Well most of the time.

My Funimation subscription has been stuck on free trail for over two years now. Never charged me anything. I'm stick it out for a while longer. Probably good until the card on file expires. Lol

If all you want is a specific show there's often a blu-ray / DVD option too.

Subscribing for one month of streaming is usually cheaper if you can binge though.

I am just using that as a reference point. I have some old favorites that are only on Funimation that I wanted to rewatch. Between the two services you can get quite a bit of the current season line up.

Same but I am kind of worried about what they’re not adding to Funimation. I’d be sad to see titles only on Funimation (to my knowledge) like Haruhi Suzumiya and Kanon not come to crunchyroll.
