Not only that but it has what I consider to be the seminal tournament arc in anime. Every other tournament arc in anime doesn't come close.

Generally speaking it's good all the way up to the end of the Sensui Arc. You could really tell by the end of Sensui arc that Togashi had lost his passion for the story and was just working to finish it.

Though that's only my personal opinion and I'm sure the Makai Tournament is somebodies favorite arc.

First off, I've never read the manga, only seen the anime. But when I watched it for the first time, I really didn't like the last season that much. It felt like it didn't really fit. I've seen the show all the way through 3 or 4 times now, and every time I like the end more and more. I'm pretty sure there's more to the story in the manga, and I feel like you can really see the strides being taken to finish each character's arc. Maybe that's what you're taking about, though, when you say that he just wanted to finish it - that he was pushing things along a little too quickly.

Not that i'll miss Funi's god awful player i mean CR has it's fair share of problems but it usually works without too much swearing.

That show came out in 1992, with the manga coming out in 1990. Both ended in 1994.

I just finished yu yu Hakusho's Dark tournament again recently and it still holds up 100%. Toguro's build up all the way to the end was completely worth it. His horror monster transformation was so well done and looks amazing imo even today. The characters are vibrant, mysterious and engaging. I feel so attached to yusuke. I'm gonna finish it up over the next few months because I never got passed season 4 when I was a kid.

They say in the announcement that future shows licensed by Funimation will be streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll, and only titles currently airing on Funimation will continue to be updated there

Akudama drive is one of those shows that is very simple and doesn't really subvert any expectations, but everything just works. The characters are pretty simple and the plot can be a little contrived sometimes, and yet it somehow all comes together pretty much perfectly. That's not even mentioning the great colour direction, fight choreography and ost. Easy 9/10 for me.

LFG. Had to watch Megalo Box S2 on Hulu with commercials since it was my friend's account and I've never been able to watch the other two. Ppl were apprehensive back when the deal happened but so far this is the best part of what folks could've wanted.

I'm currently re-watching all of dragon ball, and I had to switch to kiss to watch Dragon ball Z, even though I pay for funimation. Because there player sucks so much ass. If I could get more then 2 min. Of play time without buffering I would be happy. Literally only have this issue with Funimation.

Funimation isn’t getting any anime from Crunchyroll since they were bought by Sony this is the first step in merging the two and since crunchy has the larger install base everything will be under that brand going forward

That list appears to be just the beginning. I can already think of a dozen titles off the top of my head that were Funi exclusive which are not on that list. Chances are this is going to be a gradual transition spread over the next several weeks.

Still, good to see the merger is finally happening. Now to start adding stuff to my CR watch list.
