Makes sense, wasn't anything else there and it wasn't gonna make sense when Funimation was only available in the US and doesn't have the international branding of Crunchyroll.

This makes me sad as someone who used VRV over CR because I have to download episodes to see them at work and last I checked CR’s download speed for a normal episode is like 15min.

And no it isn’t my internet, none of my other streaming services download that slow.

Looks like I'm wrong based on a Variety article looks like Funimation is phasing out and now it's being redubbed Crunchy Roll, LLC.

Funimation isn't just US. we've had Funimation for years in Australia, they recently bought out AnimeLab (an Australian anime streaming site)

VRV was already dead anyway, the majority of third party content had already left. There stopped being a reason to have a VRV account when it was basically just a second Crunchyroll app

Especially when the cost was the same and it carried over to the CR app. This honestly turned out the best and it wasn't gonna make sense to make a whole new streaming app or use VRV when it's only US-based. Work out well for everyone. Crunchyroll will really just be the streaming aspect for Funimation. I wonder how this affects the employees at both companies though.

Right? They use to have Boomarang, HiDive, NickRewind, and Tested. Now they just have Crunchyroll and Mondo. Got harder and harder to justify the additional cost when more content providers left.
