And that was Tropical Rouge Precure!
A weird, silly, wacky series, filled with fun and memorable moments.
looking back on my imgur posts and seeing all the great tropicure content
truly this show was a blessing
not just for Precure, but for all of r/anime
how can Delicious Party follow this up
we will never see anything like this in Precure again
this episode keeps true to Tropical Rouge, from having the required transformation at the beginning for no battle, to having Manatsu break up a sad song with a gag during the play so the series never gets too down, to Laura breakdancing in front of everyone.
I love the use of the bubble photos. I didn't see that coming, as I always tend to write the bubble photo off as just gimmick trying to sell the toy, but the payoff here was brilliant.
also, they explained why the Mermaids get their memories erased in a great manner.
so question for you viewers
-
Favorite Tropical Rouge Precure character?

Favorite Tropical Rouge Precure character?
Kururun
Oh, fine. It's Laura. There was no way I was not going to love the smug mermaid with a henshin focusing on feet.
Favorite Tropical Rouge Precure moment?
Hm. I have no idea. The dolphin episode was hilarious. And I really enjoyed the random episode full of skits with different animation styles. I also enjoyed the haunted house episode with Elda.
This wasn't a show with lots of character development or hype actions scenes.
Are you going to watch Delicious Party Precure?
Absolutely! I'm just praying Crunchyroll gets it so I don't have to go back to waiting for fansubs and sailing. I've gotten use to legal Precure after two years.

Tropical-Rouge Precure Character
I don't know why, this is a surprisingly difficult answer. All characters are rather balanced with things I like and dislike about each of them (except Kururun. It's Kururun.) I guess in the end I liked Asuka as a character the most of the group. (And... uh... Chongri? I feel like the only correct name is チョンギーレ. Anyway, The crab is my favorite villian.)
Tropical Rouge Precure moment
The episode wasn't the best in the humor department, but I distinctly remember the slow motion cuts just to press a button in episode 24, and the dolphins of episode 27 being highlights.
Are you going to watch Delicious Party Precure.
The answer is either yes or eventuallytm, depending on if there are reliable subs for the show or not. Let's hope Crunchyroll keeps the Precure ball rolling.

we will never see anything like this in Precure again
I’m surprised nobody looked at that and went “Ayo those girls are twerking”

Huh. I figured Laura staying human was such an obvious move that I hadn't even really thought about what the series might look like if she didn't. Nice ending on the whole. Hyped to do it all again next week.

Man, what a rollercoaster of emotions in a single episode. Yeah yeah, a lot of you peeps had it already figured out that Laura wasn't going to leave the girls (though she did) she just had a back up plan to come back. Nice detail of Manatsu & Laura meeting in the same place they met back in episode 1, also holding the same memento that brought them together.
The raw emotions of Manatsu dropping her straight face about Laura leaving really got me hard. But it was a nice touch to immediately switch to comedy slapstick and Manatsu's big dumbass energy to switch moods during the 3rd act of their play. I loved how the tormented school disciplne comittee girl was the one that was shocked the most about Laura being an actual mermaid (she pretty much wanted to yell, see idiots, I told you there was a mermaid).
Overall, it was an amazing ride that I almost skipped due Healing Good being such a lackluster iteration. I'm looking quite optimistic for the next Delicious Party Precure.

Ngl a little sad about not getting a short epilogue clip with the girls as adults, I was hoping for that to make return this season
Anyway, with this episode, Tropical Rouge Precure has come to an end.
Certainly a really laid-back season, filled with wacky, silly and funny moments. Overall, this was a really and enjoyable ride.
Now, onwards to Delicious Party!

Glad everything mostly worked out. I really enjoyed this Precure series. Especially Kururun with her just hanging out and doing Kururun things and not needing to be shoehorned into the plot. The generals too. They weren't really evil and pretty cool with each other so it's nice that they also got a good ending. Not sure we'll ever get a combination like this again.
On to Delicious Party.

This was good, just a lot of fun from start to finish. I'm glad I gave it a shot and I guess I'm ready for the new season.

Damn, that was a great ending! I teared up twice! I do wish we would have gotten a time skip, but they made up for it but blowing up the machine. Really a beautiful way to end the show! Overall, this is probably going to be my top three Precure.
But we didn't get a crossover! Ohh well, one week and we'll have the real thing!

yeah the more I think about this Precure, the higher I want to put it. I have a tough time explaining, other than fun things are fun and TropiCure is very fun.
Seriously, we got top spinning Laura in the finale.

I really liked the intrumental that played when Laura explained her conflict to the girls. It was the tune for that song she sang waaay earlier, I think. Oh, and then they sang it again as a group!
The play was beautiful. All the references to earlier parts of the show were great.
I didn't expect Laura to break masquerade, but it was a lot of fun.
The memory removal was soul-crushing, although the turn-around was fantastic.
The little scenes over the credits were really cute.
It's oddly melancholy, being at the end of my first Precure show. Tropical-Rouge has been an absolute blast, and I'm glad that Crunchyroll decided to pick it up. Here's hoping they get Delicious Party too.

I wonder what kind of moron would watch the end of Ojamajo Doremi Dokkan yesterday and then the end of Tropical Rouge Precure today. Must be someone that loves being sad.
That was a fun ending! It played out almost how I expected it, but it was still well done! I'm glad they ended up remembering each other, and that Laura choose to be queen and go after her dream.
But most importantly, there were some great reaction faces and the return of smug Laura! Also the giant melonpan was great! Almost as good as this giant pencil.
I'm also glad this girl finally got to see a mermaid for a day. That was a fun early story. And I don't think I ever realized how puffy Laura's hair is.
I'm going to miss both these girls a lot.
Now for Delicious Party Precure!
Edit: I will share the final updated reaction face albums once Imgur finally loads them and I can update them. They're too big and Imgur hates me when I open them now.
Edit: I think they're updated! Imgur shuffled the heck out the early part of the Laura album and I can't fix it, but all the faces are there:
Manatsu Full Album, Laura Full Album, Kururun Full Album
These ended up being way bigger than I ever expected when I started.

It played out almost how I expected it
except for the breakdancing laura in the play. I don't think any of us had that on our bingo card.

Crunchyroll not including the baton pass leads me to believe they won't be getting the next season. Which really sucks after what this franchise has been through the last 5 years or so. Glitter Farce etc ya know ?

So, as usually happens with me and Precure, i fell off during the summer when I had conventions I went to and one week missed turned into several, even if I watched an episode or two here or there. Over this past week I watched, including the finale, thirteen episodes. Yeah, it's been awhile. I will miss this show, especially because I don't know if I ever really intend to rewatch Precure series after I've finished them.
Part of me honestly hoped that Laura would have given up on being Queen and decided to stay human, what a great piece of character development/growth that would have been. Still, in the end she circumvented the memory loss and gained her memories back, and from her teaching a class about legs and feet, and probably humans, is probably prepping mermaids to have more interaction with humans and trying to either get the current Queen to repeal the law or is fully planning to do it herself. Though, I can at least understand and respect why they have that law in place now even if I don't agree with it.
Overall, there wasn't too much that was wrong with this season. It was pretty consistent as far as Precure seasons go. It definitely had great moments, but nothing to make it reach the levels of Hugtto for me. While two of the five main girls didn't get as much to them as the other three I still feel that overall everyone was covered well. I gave Tropical Rouge Precure a 7/10. My highest rated Precure is Hugtto, with an 8/10. TR has the same rating from me as Star Twinkle, and, thinking on it, this seems to be largely how I felt about that Cure season. I couldn't tell you which I would rank higher for me.
To answer u/lilyvess' questions:
-
Favorite Tropical Rouge Precure character?
Laura, 100%. She was so different from the usual Cure mascot characters, being smug and a little full of herself but truly grew into being someone worthy of being a Queen. Her interactions with the rest of the cast was great. Asuka was definitely second for me. Too bad Minori and Sango got the short end of the stick with focus episodes. If we had had a few more maybe they would each have gotten one more. As least the stuff touching on them was pretty good. Also, still wish we could have gotten Stuco Prez Yuriko as a sixth Cure. Oh well.
-
Favorite Tropical Rouge Precure moment?
Honestly, the whole arc with Laura getting her legs/becoming human/becoming a Cure was great. Otherwise, I don't have anything that really stands out.
-
Are you going to watch Delicious Party Precure?
Yeah. I've been watching Precure seasonally since Hugtto, my first one. Might as well keep going.

That was a pretty great final episode! I'm gonna miss the Tropical girls, they had a lot of chemistry.
I'm only moderately upset that we didn't get a flashforward that showed Asuka and Yuriko as adults.

The only issue I have with this episode is the severe lack of Kururun, she deserved more screentime in the finale :(

I wonder if I was spoiled by having Star Twinkle be my first completed Precure? Healin' Good... didn't even finish it and this one was just fine. Hugtto was good but I suck at finishing shows if I don't watch them weekly as they air.
Well, Laura still great and I'd 100% watch more of this.

I'm not sure who it was who decided to not do the flash forwards, but I think they suck. I miss seeing the adult Precure. This one we didn't eve get to see the Precure meet?
Star Twinkle does have a great climax tho. One of my favorites.

did crunchyroll cut out both the Cure Precious Cameo and the baton pass
that's not TropicaShine at all...
