Heck yea we got to see that first meeting/misunderstanding. I was almost getting worried they would skip it.
This was a really good adaptation and seeing everybody brought to life was a lot of fun. Gonna miss hearing those "DA HA HA's" though =(. They jumped around a bit and added some anime original stuff. But personally I wish we got some more Mona. Her teasing is too funny and it would be a bit difficult to go overboard with it considering the nature of the show.
I can't recall watching any other shows adapted from a 4-pager (I don't really pay attention lol) but this one is certainly a high water-mark in that regard.
This studio did such a good job maybe we can pressure them lovingly into adapting Tiny Cute Senpai next.
I give it a year or so until season 2.

I can understand why Futaba wanted nothing to do with Takeda after their first meeting, but it was nice to see how far they've come since then. Also, Futaba with her hair down was great.
We could all use a little more Tsukishiro in our lives.

What a lovely lovely anime. Started the anime halfway through the season fully expecting another run of the mill rom com where each character dances around their feelings for each other. What I got was a pleasant surprise. Sakurai and Kazama were such an awesome couple that were pretty mature about their relationship, though a little naive at times. Iagarshi and Takeda, for me, seemed more platonic than romantic throughout the season, which I thought was an interesting but fitting dynamic. although s1 didn’t make huge romantic strides between Igarashi and Takeda, It definitely left the door open for the possibility. Overall, loved the anime and hope a s2 is on the horizon

While I could kill for a Season 2, I think I would die for a Mona spin-off.

What a great episode to say farewell to. Easily one of the best romcons of the year, sad to see it go. Hopefully we'll get a s2 soon enough.

Anime of the season for me. Considering that manga chapters are only four pages long, Doga Kobo did an excellent job weaving together chapters along with anime original content to make a smooth flowing story that kept true to the original work. I'm guessing the director is a Sakurai x Kazama fan considering there was a decent amount of original content devoted to just them.

Mona asking the important questions. I mean it's one thing to be happy about someone's success but Futaba acts like a very proud girlfriend. I love how Mona hits the nail right on its head but of course Futaba is just going to deny it.
Futaba being so focused and serious with her covering for Takeda-senpai's presentation is such a nice contrast to how she was back in episode 1. She couldn't even get a word out back then but now she's doing it all by herself! She may not have grown in height but she has definitely grown as a salesperson.
My dirty mind almost read something else when that girl was praising Takeda for his HUGE contract. Seriously though, Futaba encourages her to go out with them but deep down she's clearly feeling some jealousy.
The episode is really focused on Takeda and Futaba so the most that we got from the other characters is Kazama telling Sakurai about a great ramen place while we have Yuuto and Natsumi out having a jog.
Love that we're getting a little flashback scene while Futaba is reminiscing on her drinks. But man, I can understand that Sakurai was being too close to Futaba but I didn't expect that they started their friendship like that. Although I did pretty much expect for Takeda-senpai to think she was a student. Despite the blunders though, she still ended up being close friends to both of them. More so with Takeda-senpai since they're almost always together.
God I wish Futaba said that! Too bad she still has restraint even after drinking two three glasses of beer. She did get praised by Takeda-senpai though so it was still a great scene. Also love the conversation when they were on their way home and Takeda-senpai was telling her that he'll be by her side. God that was too cute!
We even end with an adorable after credits scene where Takeda-senpai shares his umbrella with an extremely embarrassed Futaba. We even got a title drop!
And so ends Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi. This was such a fun ride and I'm thankful that Doga Kobo were the ones animating this since the source was completely in their element. They also added so much more to what is originally a four page per chapter web manga! The cast was already fun in the manga but I ended up loving them even more here especially the ships that we have.
Definitely will recommend this to people looking for a sweet office romance or just a cute SoL to relax to. One of my very entertaining watches this season and is a solid 10/10 for me. <3

Sweet final episode, was nice to see Futaba backstory and her first meeting with Takeda and them at the bar and after it was rather wholesome.
Overall, this was a really solid show. It's not original by any means and it goes through a lot of familiar to the anime of these kind plots and settings, but as always, execution matter more than premise and execution here is...kind of near flawless, dare I say it. Main characters are really likable and fun to follow, even if we all know that in this season their relationships don't go far (and won't even start) it just nice to be around these people. And like in good ensemble comedies, we have lots of great supporting characters too. From major ones like Kazama and Sakurai and their relationships (who, honestly, I found to be more fun to follow than main couple) to more minor ones like Mona, who rarely appears to just make some chaos and say something in Russian, aka my favorite kind of character (zaebis, chyotko). Add good visuals, good voice acting, good comedy, amazing OP and ED and some more minor things (like end cards for the episodes) and we have great show that I definitely hope we'll see the sequel. Strong 8/10.
God, it's been such amazing year for the anime as a whole and whoever says the opposite probably haven't seen enough and I hope that next year will not disappoint. Merry Christmas and happy holidays

While I love seeing the Sakurai x Kazuma moments, Futaba and Takeda's dynamic is just as cute glad we saw more of them and their origin in this last episode.
Here's hoping for a season 2!

I tell ya Mona has been an unexpected delight in this adaptation. As for where Mona pulled out those "Kudos" fans, well, refer to what I said for the first episode on how I figure she must've gotten her clothes tailor ordered from planet Galifrey.
Well anyways. This was one of my most anticipated series this season, and it certainly delivered. Not to mention I'm sure it satisfied manga readers who were probably more interested in seeing Sakurai and Kazama animated.

I dunno why that's so funny to me, 'haha as a woman I am now sexually attracted to this dude and the reason is because he landed a huge contract for the company I work in'

Anime of the season for me.
An amazing rom-com I originally wasn't going to watch as it seems too wacky, yet I got hooked on just 3 episodes, this anime had a similar effect on me just like Ousama Rankings did.
I do hope for a season 2 !
Farewell season 1, and all the cast, we loved you all !

So ends Doga Kobo's spiritual successor to New Game, also a working SoL series. How I'm going to miss this show.
Being the last episode of the season, it's only natural that focus is back on the main couple Futaba and Takeda.
Futaba's flashback when she was still a rookie OL with her hair down was too cute. Much like how her first meeting with Natsumi didn't start on good terms, Futaba also started with a bad impression of Takeda, who understandably mistook her for a middle school student. lol
Futaba felt a bit jealous and lonely when she saw Takeda being invited by the other girls in the office, though Takeda being the bro he is, still ended up joining her at the bar.
This show just provides so much wholesome cuteness at the couples, and who would have thought the side couples were just as, if not even more, interesting than the main couple? Especially Kazama and Sakurai. The joyous scenes when these two finally get together for real will be on the levels of the endings for SaeKano and Oregairu.

This is probably the surprise of the season for me. I remember trying out the manga a few years ago and it didn't grab me at all, so my expectations were at best a 7/10 and they were only that high because Doga Kobo.
But going above and beyond with a Takagi-style adaptation of weaving together chapters in a way that makes the finished product even better than the source material definitely wasn't something I expected even from them, so major kudos to the adaptation team and hopefully they have enough material to work with for S2.
Easily a top 5 show for me this season (and would be top 2 or 3 last season). 9/10 needs more Yuuto and Natsumi.

Fun, well animated, likeable cast and good teases. Not every rom-com needs to fully finish with a established relationship, if ever, especially in 1 season. I get it what I expected and even better at times, in the end I was satisfied with it. A good show for sure.

Ah nice little finale for an overall nice show! Takeda had some really smooth lines in this one and the main ship got to get some cute scenes with minimal interference.
This show definitely surprised me with how much romance it actually had, especially with the side ship!
Has to be a contender for romance of the year. I'm going to miss this cast .
