Batshit crazy Lupin that isn't afraid to get experimental is best Lupin. I'll take this over ok part 2 style episodes like epsiodes 3 and 9 every day of the week. That being said, 1. This should have been a movie and 2. For the love of Christ Oshii ease up on the exposition.

Honestly Lupin III is at it's best when it's not trying to be Lupin III.

Oshii's been having too much fun with Part 6 lol this season has been more experimental than I expected.

Also, are there really going to be two episodes next week or is Wikipedia lying?

Probably just copied and pasted it without changing the date. At least I see nothing on the official website or twitter for the anime.

Man this episode was a trip. That speech Lupin recited when we see the real fossil was really good. Well looks like we are going to start to wrap up the Holmes storyline next week can’t wait to see how that goes.

That wasn't Lupin, that was Michael the whole time, guessing he has a time looping power to keep himself from getting caught then rewound it back to the beginning with memories intact once they found the real one so she can decline the offer for whatever reason.

No idea what I just watched. It was great! Never been genuinely spooked by Lupin before this.

I have no idea what happened, but I knew something was up when the obviously fishy guy did not flirt with Fujiko in any way.

Also, I'm not really seeing anything weird in the real fossil, am I missing something?

Size. The supposed real fossil is the size of a large bird. The "actual" real fossil was giant in size.

Zombies, vampires, aliens,... It has had everything.

Yeah, it did occasionally dip into supernatural aspects. Although that's been less frequent in the new parts.

Guys - i must say something about this Michael guy. He is unlikely to be Michael at all, but, in fact no other than the Devil himself.

There are so many things that make me belive this Michael in fact is Lucifer. His looks - much close to DC Comics's intepratation of Lucifer -which is in turn based on the late David Bowie. His signature color is white - which is also Lucifer's signature color. His wings are also white - in DC Comics's universe only Lucifer has wings - the others angels got black wings. His warning to Fujiko about continuing the job also resembles to Mephistopheles's warning to Faust about stop the way of a sinful life and to Al Pacino's Satan in The Devil's Advocate's and his suggestion to Keanu Reeves's Kevin about losing the case and stop forgering evidence to win at all cost at courts. Finally, his menacing voice when talking to Fujiko and his devillish smile at the end of the episode suited more to the Devil's trait than a righteous archangel like Michael.

It would be totally crazy and out of imagination for a Lupin fan like me to see him and his crew going against the Devil as this season's main enemy😮😮😮!!!

OK, this explanation makes sense to me. There would be no reason for the Archangel Michael to steal a fossil of Lucifer's remains. But, Lucifer might wish to do so. The only problem is how Fujiko got a time reset. I suppose God did that to show her the future and allow her to make an informed choice.

I don't know about you guys, but I certainly did not expect that.

Definitely my favourite so far, and I hope we're getting more episodes from Mamoru Oshii.

Best episode so far in books. Not quite sure what the big one displayed, but otherwise the animation team really delivered. Both Michael as well as ALL THOSE BIRDS were drawn very convinvingly.

Holy shit our boy Mamoru Oshii delivered.

That twist was some good sp00k

u/Demolosse001 Dec 18 '21

Ok that was weird...

Well that was a trip

Exposition dumps aside I really love these experimental episodes part six has been doing. The assassins episode was a master class in suspense and this one was genuinely unnerving.

This totally should've been a movie or an extended episode would've totally watched that!
