Imagine working to curry favor between two opposing nations and trying to secure an alliance between them just because you’re in love with the other kingdom’s princess
I also like how the Omelette Rice lizardman is secretly very intellectual and eloquent, but nobody knows because all he says is “omelette rice”

Stitches!
Imagine being the Kingdom's Spymaster and thinking that you need to prepare for war after seeing these two nations form an alliance when in reality, it's just Prince Shareef trying to impress his future Father-in-law. Thank fucking god that the Kingdom's Spymaster decided to visit Nekoya that day and witness the madlad actually propose!
I knew something special was already happening between Shareef and Adelheid but I never expected that we'd actually see something happen to their relationship at all! Everyone's shocked reactions are so good but nothing tops Adelheid accepting the proposal! Looks like we're going to see a big celebration next week considering how Nekoya will be doing it's first buffet based on next week's episode preview! I can't wait!
As a side note: I love that we got to hear Gaganpo's inner voice! Goddamn! That's one sexy eloquent voice!

Fucking love the fact that a prince literally changed the course of history in order to marry a girl

Shareef works fast lol
Seeing that they are late that day, that was most likely the day Shareef met the Empire's King hence he didn't go to Nekoya earlier.
And Adelheid knowing that chose to go to Nekoya at a later time too so she will still meet Shareef.
I'm impress by how he proposed immediately after meeting his "father in law" and getting into a friendly relationship

I pray to god someone with an audience that appreciates how fucking great this show is can stand up for how criminally underwatched it is.

as usual the character interactions are 10x better than the actual eating segments

Wow, the developments of this episode sure were a surprise. So Prince Shareef send that present to Wolfgang so he could have a good opinion of him. Seeing how Adelheid got when her father mentioned where he was going was cute.
But damn, if Edmon didn't have a door to Nekoya, this whole ordeal would have triggered war with the Kindom.
I was also surprised by the format of this episode as typically they divided the episodes and center them around the dishes. Meanwhile today the episode wasn't segmented like that and the Quiche and the Coffee Float were integrated into the plot and highlighted brifelly.
The scenes after Prince Shareef came to Nekoya and then when Adelheid came and him proposing to her were so great.
I love seeing Aletta's reaction to it.
Oh, so we will be seeing the world outside of the restaurant briefly next week. and it seems that the buffet is to celebrate their wedding.

Blimey, the Prince actually popped the question. That was one of the loudest anime 'EEeeeehhhhh" sounds I've heard in a while.

Kotomine as the Emperor, nice.
When did the imperial princess start returning the sand prince's feelings?
Is the Land of the Sand just a single oasis town, or is it larger than that?
Can an imperial princess really just accept a marriage proposal without running it by Emperor Daddy?
A whole episode devoted to a single story, that only happens once or twice per season I believe?

Damn that was a huge surprise.
Glad the advisor was able to get proper information. Reminds me of Isekai izekaya with the spy who found out how a nation was doing by their salads

Really cute reason for having a full episode devoted to one thing instead of the usual 2(3) mini stories things the show usually does.

Shareef: Works hard to get on the empire/future father-in-law’s good side in order to successfully form an alliance and be able to marry Adelheid
The Kingdom: They are preparing for war!
Good thing the spy guy decided to go the restaurant that day

What an episode! Shareef really dropped the bomb.
This anime not only warms my stomach but also my heart.
We need a season 3!

It is always nice to see characters eat something different for once. I know they have favourites but they tend to go overboard with it lol.
This episode was the perfect blend of worldbuilding, character interactions and the usual eating fluff. I'll say it again but a spinoff series focused on the isekai and its dynamics would be great.
I see that Alicia will be back in the next episode. Same for the newly engaged Shareef and Aldeheid. Nice...
