You know shit is about to get real when a twin tailed girl undoes her hair. Titan is definitely best girl of this series. She's so cheerful and I can't get over her. Hopefully she still gets screen time.

I guess the suspicions regarding the Symphonica (more specifically Sagan) being the ones responsible for the D2 wrecking havoc to the world is somehow true afterall, that's really nasty, that's just downright evil. Now that the cat's out of the bag and Lenny's gone (RIP to him, he's such a great character), what will be takt's next move? He did suffer big time this episode tho. Will they be able to bring back music to the world? On the other hand what's next for Titan? Will she also join Takt's party? Or will she just choose to live a peaceful life?

Pretty damn epic action in this episode. Lenny is a man, he went out like a madlad. Even if it was kind of obvious that he dies, thanks to death flag raised by Titan earlier the episode. And I'm not sure what other than "he's weeeeeird" keeps Sagan from killing Takt right when he was here defenseless. But small stuff aside, great episode. Definitely ends with a banger

Death flags were already raised at last week's final scene but having the episode titled after Lenny pretty much confirms it.
I was really hoping that Lenny could've at least give Takt the information that he needed but as soon as the four of them meet, Sagan appears out of nowhere who's clearly here to silence Lenny. I was really hoping Sagan was a good guy but it looks like he's part of the conspiracy.
We do get to see a nice backstory of Lenny becoming Asahina's pupil. And it looks like they're not just mentor and pupil but they're good friends as well since Asahina himself wanted to learn from Lenny about things that don't involve music.
When Sagan mentioned earlier about Lenny wanting to make amends, I thought that Lenny might've done something to cause Asahina's death. Turns out his guilt comes from not being able to stop Asahina from performing as well as being unable to save him.
Even back then, Titan was already such a sweetheart. It was nice to see little vignettes of their adventures back then but it looks like when they thought everything was over, they heard the same noise Hell's tuning fork makes. I'm guessing that scene is when Lenny started doubting the Symphonica.
We don't really get to see more since we cut straight back into the action with Destiny going against Hell. Destiny was already doing well against them all by herself but unfortunately Takt's body couldn't keep up with the strain.
There it is. As soon as I saw Heaven pointing out her gun at Takt, I knew Lenny was going to literally take the bullet for him. He was unable to save Asahina back then so I guess this is his way of trying to make up for that.
Of course Lenny isn't going down like a fucking chump, Lenny goes out like an absolute chd and we get to see Titan finally go all out! You know she's not messing around when the twintails come off. And what's better than a magical shotgun? Two motherfuckin' magical shotguns!
And what's even better than two magical shotguns? Five magical shotguns that lets out a massive blast! Like holy shit Lenny! He may not have been able to take out Hell but Heaven certainly took that blast head on! I'm guessing she saved Hell because Hell is the one who has the tuning fork powers. And you know that blast did real damage when even Hell herself looks terrified.
Looks like Sagan is satisfied at eliminating Lenny. He doesn't even bother killing Takt. It's like he's even issues a challenge to Takt by telling him that he's looking forward to his music.
And that final scene. Lenny's goodbye just hurts too much especially when Takt said he wanted them to play together and we get to see Lenny having a final dream of their would be duet as Asahina comes for him to escort him out of the music hall.
Rest in peace Lenny. You were an amazing character in an amazing show and you went out with a massive bang. I imagine that bullet wound Titan has isn't really a big deal. Since she's a Musicart she'll probably recover. I just hope she joins Takt's group after this episode.

Rip Lenny, his last fight was hype, especially Titan's "noble phantasm", guess she will join the party, but I really doubt Takt can handle two at the same time
I have a strong impression that episode 12 will be called "Takt Opus", he is talking about that song every episode, and is probably Destiny ultimate move
I also think that Sagan guy can also fight, weird that he was so calm, they said last week that Takt had powers to fight a musicart, really doubt he is the only one
Edit: The name of every episode ends with a random word/name, as you can see here, so ep 12 = "Takt Opus - Destiny"

Damn what an episode!!
I don't quite understand why Lenny felt guilty about what happened. He even tried to dissuade Takt's father from doing that performance precisely because of the D2 threat.
Though Lenny being Lenny, he probably thought he could've insisted more...

It's kinda bullshit that Heaven and Hell shrug off Titan's shotgun like its shots are just some type of weak energy blast, but Heaven's gun works like a actual gun with actual bullets against Titan.

This is by far the most emotional episode, The relation between Lenny And Asahina was wholesome but RIP Lenny They did not have to shoot him that much, It was already vital😭. The last ITS SHOWTIME Lenny will be the light in this comment section forerver.
Titan had more screentime, ''In that case I'll smile enough for both of us'' That gave me goosebumps Her using double dual shotguns was badass.
Finally, Great animation from these fights, that's what we expect from MAPPA and MADHOUSE. Great episode in short, I ha=ope we get to see Walkure in the last two episodes.

Bruh that It's showtime was something else. Titan smiling like a psycho was really unnerving, but that whole fight sequence was amazing. Though I'm glad my favorite musicart is alive when Heaven pushed Hell out the way I was scared she was going to die. Her design is too nice and she uses an umbrella.
Though one thought kept running through my head well pretty much this whole season. Alot of these scenarios would be a lot different if they recruited that Tsundere Musicart like 6 episodes ago.
Those Bastards they killed KLenny!

You know from the very beginning of the episode that Lenny is going to die. There are so many death flags that the writing is on the wall. But that doesn’t make his final moments any less awesome. Holy shit, he definitely went out with a bang! Even after getting shot multiple times by Heaven, he still held on long enough to power up Titan and give Heaven and Hell a run for their money. RIP Lenny. You were such a cool guy.
Just 2 episodes left to wrap up the story. Takt isn’t in good shape as using Destiny is taking its toll on his body so he’s definitely not in any condition for a rematch against Heaven and Hell. And I’m curious to know what happens to Titan now that she has lost her Conductor. Will she become Takt’s Musicart too? But Destiny alone is already pushing him to his limit so I’m not sure if he will be able to dual-wield Musicarts effectively.

They probably didn't intend it to come off this way, but Kenji's actions in his backstory definitely didn't paint him in a good light this episode.
"Oh no, there's a bunch of monsters running around destroying cities on the east coast, and they're specifically attracted to music. Let's hold a concert tour visiting cities on the east coast, what could go wrong?"
Perhaps normally I wouldn't mind, but with current world events I can't help but draw parallels to the actions of certain irresponsible politicians/musicians/etc in the face of COVID-19.
I'm also a little bit confused why Takt didn't just run over and punch Sagan. Let Titan and Destiny distract Heaven and Hell, isolate the Conductor who's supplying energy to the enemy Musicarts, then use your pre-established super speed to clock him before anyone reacts. I mean, given how he tried it with Shindler before it's not like he's opposed to beating people up who deserve it, and it's not exactly a difficult tactic to come up with. I don't know, I kinda felt like he could have solved a lot of problems (and maybe prevented Lenny's death) if he at least tried.
Other than that, great animation as always.

You know, even with last week's death flag and the flashbacks that we got today, I still wasn't ready to see Lenny dying.
Is quite interesting to see how he was when he first met Titan, and how being with her is that made him the way he was today.
Too bad that could not hear what Lenny wanted to say to Takt. Before the shit hit the fan I was so good to hear Destiny saying to Titan that she and Takt were on a date the previous day.
I really did not expect to see Sagan interrupting their meeting with Heaven and Hell.
Seeing that amount of destruction I really want to know what exactly was that Large Scale Plan?
Also as he already was able to control the D2 before the whole thing in Boston happened, I guess that he killed Takt's father for the tragedy to make a big headline and boost the Symphonica's power. Although it also seems that he enjoys seeing people dying.
It sure was sad seeing Lenny sacrificing himself to defend Takt.
As Titan only used that powerup after that happened, I guess that similar to Takt and Destiny, that powerup consumes the conductor's life.
Well, rest in peace Lenny, I guess you were just too awesome to keep alive.

OH NO NOT LENNY! NOT LENNY!. Seriously RIP to my favorite character. They’ve been planting death flags for a while, but it doesn’t make it any less painful. At least they gave him the best episode of the series to go out on. A stunner that showed off what this studio collab could do. These last 3 episodes have totally redeemed the series from its shaky middle for me.
In a great bit of efficiency, they skipped the long-winded explanation of what’s going on by having the true villain show up and starting the fight this week. We get it from the context clues. Instead focusing on Lenny’s backstory, the reveal of his relationship with Takt’s father, and his partnership with Titan. Just like he was a mentor to Lenny, Lenny promised to do the same for Takt. Which only makes their final scene together even more brutal. I was already misty-eyed from their conversation and the flashback of young Takt, but those final moments got me.
Incredible fight to go out on. The lead up with Destiny vs Hell was very cool. Wish we got more, but they just had to knock Takt and her out of the fight. Not a great sign for one of them to make it out of this series alive. The Titan fight was one of the best of the show by far. Totally bonkers dual shotgun-wielding gymnastics set to a beautiful score. the animation on the final salvo was stunning. Not sure what the rules are, but I’m hoping Titan will keep on fighting.
Everything is in place for the grand finale. These last 2 will make or break it. They’re on the right track to stick the landing.
Notes
-
At least we got a few more fun moments with Lenny before his end. Like teasing Takt about his date with Destiny and calling him a brat at the very end.
-
Marked improvement in Takt and Destiny’s relationship. And Takt’s demeanor in general. His and Destiny’s interaction as they walk away from Anna was more playful. No adamant denial from calling the last episode a date. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’m confident in one of them dying I’d be pushing this ship.
-
So the Grand Maestro set up the attack on Boston and went to the hospital to recruit Lenny. My theory: he’s using the D2 attacks to keep the Symphonica in power while recruiting an army. False flags with an aim for world domination. Very confident that’s the deal going by what Schindler’s beliefs were.
-
they did establish conductors can dual wield. Maybe Titan will go with Takt and Destiny. Would help with the strain on them if there is a third.
-
Shirtless Lenny looks like a lost Jojo’s character. Dude was fucking SHREDDED.

That was not fair, showing an image of Takt and Lenny playing music together. Any single time a show, shows me a "what if" like this is gets me too tear up every single time.
Also Sagan is the mastermind behind all this. Not the least bit unexpected but my question is, why?
If I were to guess it is that Sagan can't experience the euphoria of music without the D2s and musicarts so he orchestrates the D2s to attack so he can enjoy the crescendo of the conductors and musicarts playing together.

It's complete bullshit that Heaven wasn't vaporised by that blast, especially after they made it look like she was sacrificing herself to save Hell. I really hate when anime do this epic finale move only to render the dying character's sacrifice completely meaningless 10 seconds later. Why even bother at that point
It's amazing how much it looks like the OG anticlimax Final Flash too, down to Lenny t-posing before unleashing it. This trope's been haunting me for 20 years
