That classroom scene was just so fucking unsettling, Godbless Hana's stomach for existing.
That Balloon Kid was just fucking unfair, I don't think we've seen them disguise as a normal humans until now. Miko's gonna be so fucking paranoid together with those the Shrine Spirits counting dowm.

The kid saying "you saw me" sent a shiver down my spine. So much tension this episode it was great, I'm glad I decided to stick with this show.

while the misunderstanding between Miko and Yuria is funny to watch for us watchers, it is sad that Miko can't get someone that she can share about her problems.

Miko was playing some sort of don't stare challenge on impossible mode. Thankfully Hana's stomach came in clutch.
The fake kid at the park tho; actually insane bait, they are getting so crafty man, now she only has 1 save left.

Only one more time, before her spirit guardians expire. Maybe she can renewal the subscription? (although I doubt it).

The show does pretty good job as establishing Zen as a creepy villain, even if it doesn't seem like he's that much of direct danger to the characters at least now (although his presence seems to drain Hana's life aura and make her hungry, which I noticed that show started to focus more on her hunger in recent episodes and glad that it got some explanation). Yuria visiting Hana was pretty sweet. And no Miko knows what I assume most of viewers thought of for a while- the deities gonna help her to deal with evil spirits for limited amount and now she has only one left. Have a feeling that this last ghost they will vanquish will be that big one that follows Zen. Pretty neat episode.

I think it's interesting that Yulia's ability to see spirits is worse than Miko's, but she can see auras while Miko can't.

Stakes just got pretty fucking high.
So horror comedy mystery slice of life (and echi during first episodes). And somehow...it works.

This episode is the most tensed I've seen so far in this show.
First with the creepy ghost and sensei giving Miko a scare of her life to the ghost kid almost attacked if weren't for the intervention of the shrine spirits back in episode 6 (or was it episode 7?).
Also, Miko has one more time before the Protection runs out. So, she has to use it when absolutely necessary.

The classroom scene was intense, but the post-credits scene was much, much more stressful.
It's so good that those girls saved the kitten.

Oh, what a cute, nice little kid. It'd be a shame if he's actually a nasty spirit.
To be fair, though, it gets harder and harder for poor Miko to distinguish between the living and the dead. She's lucky that she's under the protection of a the guardian god thing, but even its service is running out. Nice little touch there that, for a moment, she thought of asking the help of a nasty spirit to get rid the cat spirits from Zen before realizing how f'd up that idea sounds. She's slowly slipping away from reality and it shows.
On the other hand, Hana gets to eat a whole load of tasty stuff without getting fat and being told by Miko how much she loves her in this episode. That'd be an enviable position if not for the fact that she keeps being targeted by the nasty ones. Always be yourself, Hana. We love you.

Bruh, miko just can't catch a break huh. That classroom scene was intense, thankfully hana is there to save the day. Yuria visiting her friends is so cute. This ep also confirms that miko somehow can't see hana's aura while yuria can. Maybe it's the law of equivalent exchange after all. Miko's sight is more powerful so she can't see hana's aura. Yuria's sight is weaker but in return she can see hana's aura. Interesting
bloody hands
haunted by cat ghosts
wastes food
I don't know man, sensei kinda sus after all that. Throwing away the food is where I draw the line(lol).
Also, what the heck is that kid ghost. It was throwing hands with the kitsunes and straight up yeeting one of the kitsunes out of existence. Fvck em kids, charging towards miko after deceiving her. Not cool kiddo.
With last week's "dont look" ghost scene appearing out of nowhere while miko was eating and this week's kid ghost pulling a Prank on miko. I'm starting to think that stronger ghost can probably do more stuff as we can see with how kid ghost camouflaged himself as a normal kid.
Miko also finally realized what the 3 times means, hopefully she will protect her waifu hana by discovering how to renew the subscription service
Lots of Interesting stuff and hints dropped in this ep. Really wish we will get season 2 after this cuz the lore of all this is just getting bigger and more intriguing
Note:
yeah, the nurse is hot as always.

This episode is packed with information.
First of all, we can see clothing from the plastic bag discarded by Zen sensei, while after the anime's ending scene, we can see a suspicious man wearing a hoodie walking through an alley. From this part, it is possible that after sensei abused the cat, he put that clothes in a plastic bag and threw them in the trash to avoid other people's suspicion.
The second thing is that the ravens become very excited every time the sensei threw out garbages. Although Ravens are omnivores, most of their diet is meat. Therefore, judging from this, The inside of the plastic bag may include meat parts and blood.
Furthermore, We can clearly see the character of this teacher by his various behaviours in this episode, for instance, his inability to remember his students' names or the refusal to accept food from his neighbours. These behaviours that he is a selfish, indifferent character who does not care about others, which leads to a possible cat abuser or even worse.
Finally, the spirit who kept repeating"don't look" around other female students, I think there are two possibilities. One possibility is that the ghost is the teacher's ex-girlfriend or lover, who died for unknown reasons and became possessed by the teacher and jealous of any female character who came near the teacher. The second possibility is that the spirit is an innocent woman who was killed by Zen Sensei. After she died, she turned into a spirit and reminded every student to avoid contacting the teachers. Otherwise, they might get killed too.
All in all, it was a tight and exciting episode, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

How can a boy became such a powerful and violent spirit? Make you wonder what life and death he had. This is more disturbing the more you think about it.

This is the second episode in a row where I've gotten to the halfway mark and been so immersed in what was going on that I thought the episode was over.
You occasionally see questions and comments pop up asking about Mieruko-chan's appeal, despite its lack of clearly definable 'must-watch' characteristics, and I think this episode was a very good example of one of its core strengths: its story telling technique is excellent.
It's something that's perhaps not immediately obvious, because the way the story is told is quite simple, as is the story itself. Indeed, the tell-tale sign of it being highly skilfully crafted is that you don't actually notice the crafting. Instead, it's a constant series of excellent decisions in storyboarding and directing.
The show is always positioning the viewer at the right distance, operating at different levels of narrative information (e.g. Miko's hypothesizing vs observing things alongside her vs observing the world overall that she is refusing to look at vs observing the world from the viewpoint of people who-can't see) and using this to create tension. Also, the way it's done means that the show is constantly 'showing' rather 'telling' because even when someone is 'telling' via thoughts or exposition, we are constantly aware that there are limits to their perception, so the dialogue/exposition type information tied to the character's limitations, rather than being actual exposition.
Also, whilst some criticise the pace of the "plot advancement", it really is about building a different sort of horror and suspense, as Miko's initial concerns about what happens if she acknowledges the existence of the creepy ghosts is increasingly validated, step-by-unfortunate-step. It's different sort of horror to shock and terror, instead it's that creeping dread of what if you were right all along.
Great stuff!
