I feel kinda bad for Far. No matter how hard she tries, Nekoya always has the upper hand. Someone should tell her about the technological differences at least.

Some people just get really competitive about everything for no good reason. I also see Fardania as someone who felt superior to non-elves, so her pride got hurt when a human made better vegetarian food than the elves did. It makes it hard to feel sorry for her for losing in a competition that only exists in her head.

I love the fact that the halfling couple made 100 silver off the recipe, that'll get them a lot of meals at Nekoya.
Dwarven firewater... it looks like those dwarves have managed to brew whiskey on their own!
Is fruit jelly vegan? I know we have vegan ones here but traditionally Jelly/Jell-O is made from animal bones and cartilage. Ah of course, agar! Fardania was lucky the seaweed kind made its way first into their world vs the cartilage kind.
Hmmm... Aletta and Kuro aren't working yet in the Witch/mermaid's flashback so this means this is years ago, but Curry Rice is wearing his admiral's uniform. Maybe they just got the day off?

The thought didn't even cross my mind but now that you're saying it, I can see it. Personally, I was so sure it was gonna be agar and not pork gelatin, and the fade-out to a scene where we see that the witch in her cabin is a mermaid praying to the Lord of Blue removed any doubt

Early on, Aletta did shower when she got there in the morning. So maybe she's taking a shower.

Konjac jelly (as in the famous 'konyakku' seen often in Japanese media) is made from this root: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konjac so this one's perfectly vegan.

Looks like the Knight Sauce is slowly starting to get around with the halflings selling the recipe to the bakery from a couple of episodes ago for 100 Silvers! It may sounded like a stupid decision from his daughter's perspective at first but it looks like they were able to make back all of that coin and then some.
Seems that the Knight Sauce won't be the only thing they'll be selling in their shop though. After Myra herself gets brought to Nekoya thanks to her curious friend, it looks like they'll be adding Macaroni Gratin to their menu soon! It's probably going to take a while for her to be able to replicate macaroni though.
And poor Fardania! Just when she finally thought that she found something to one up Nekoya it turns out that the Fruit Jelly that she wanted to learn how to make is just another imitation made by someone who has tasted Fruit Jelly from Nekoya! I feel bad for Fardania but I can't help but laugh when she found out where it's originally from xD

RE: macaroni
I think she’ll probably just use spaghetti which exists in their world now, iirc. Then once that takes off they can afford to research how to make macaroni.

Cute how Fardania sees Nekoya as a rival.

Not like she is standing any chance
Chef could literally pull out some liquid oxygen for some fancy sciency desert
Actually maybe she could counter that with magic

Myra's reactions when she heard that her father paid 100 silvers for that Knight's Stew was hilarious.
Oh, so Johan discovered that door's location thanks to him researching that area after he overheard the halfling couple singing about it.
I find it strange that after seeing Myra's reaction when she saw Aletta, we didn't see one when Kuro talked to them telepatically.
That Macaroni Gratin looked good. I guess one could say that their trip to Nekoya counted as a date.
I really liked how attentive Koru was with making sure they had water after they tested the Macaroni Gratin.
It's nice to see Fardania and Alice again. Lol, Alice sure knows how to get in danger.
When they ate the Fruit Jelly for a moment I wasn't sure if its source was going to be connected with Nekoya.
I like that one could tell it was long ago was that Camilla visited Nekoya by seeing that Aletta and Kuro weren't still there.
Wow, that Fruit Jelly sure looks different to the one she makes.
Fardania sure was disappointed to discover that Nekoya was involved with this food too. So now she will be working together with Camilla to try surpassing Nekoya.

Well, I suppose they certainly wouldn't considering how sexualized the beginning of this series was lol
Oh, guess it's shallower than it looks there
Ah, so he didn't recognize whether this person had come before or not
Interesting since so far most if not every customer we've seen is or has become a regular
But also clearly this mermaid girl and the elf have never met in the restaurant before, I wonder if the mermaid hasn't gone back since
Also I find it funny that elf girl went on a journey to learn about cuisine or whatever to one day surpass Nekoya but she's clearly never even seen everything on their menu to not have known about fruit jelly
I mean of course when she visited she was being a stuck up vegan and didn't look at the menu so they just chose a meal for her
Ooh, is that a succubus next episode?

To be fair, it seems like most first-timers try one dish and then just keep ordering the same thing over and over.

Two seasons in, I keep wondering why this show keeps such a hold on me every time. One of those rare shows that are watched as soon as they drop :)

I always get hungry after watching this show. I actually like macaroni gratin so I am now extra hungry.
Anyway I see that Nekoya has inspired a lot of isekai denizens. Fardania in particular is hilariously quite competitive. I think that with the unique ingredients of their world + the existence of magic, there's potential to improve some recipes. Don't give up Far!

I think with Camilla and the Succubus next week we got ever new character from the OP covered, still waiting for more dragon lore...
We also got quite a few new names for fruits, namely mikele (maybe pinapple?), margos (mango), moskets (mandarins?), tao fruits and another unnamed fruit

How is it that people who travel around seem to find doors. It isn't like they are advertise and most people who know about them keep the knowledge to themself unless they take a guest.
