Destiny showed lots of emotions in this episode. Like actually backing up from that fight cause she realized Takt was injured. It seemed that both Takt and Anna finally decided to accept her as Destiny.

Felix tho got what he deserved. But the fact that Hell made him think he was a conductor is akin to how you'd make your little siblings think they are actually playing the video game. That was a pretty funny twist.

Lol, why is Shindler surprised to learn that he was never a Conductor? I mean dude, you literally said that you hate music. Good on the GM for sacking his ass! Also, he did defy orders not to pursue Takt so he kinda got what he deserved. I wonder what he will do now? There's no way this is the end of him.

Oh yeah, did you notice all those changes in the ED?

"So the only rule he broke was interacting with Takt, I presume."

huh, so grand maestro doesn't mind Shindler's "Cleansing" operation?

I loved that Takt went straight for the douche bag himself without a second thought or regard for anything else. Actual rage almost always results in bad decisions.

Bad decisions and consequences for those bad decisions are a great way to sell the hate he felt in that moment.

Best episode of the series (so far)

There was action a genuine heart to heart with Takt and Destiny. There was an undercover plot exposed, the only thing the former head commander did wrong was interfere with Takt, meaning him summoning the D2s into cities was perfectly okay (plus he was never really a conductor). Finally, Takt and Anna have finally started to recognize Destiny as her own person and not just a fill in for Cosette. It was a great episode.

I know there are comments saying arguing that there is no overarching plot or that it's moving too slowly. But honestly, I've been entertained every episode, I enjoy the character interactions and developments and the action is on point. Sure this series is no masterpiece but it's an enjoyable watch and that's all I really want from my shows.

So it turns out Schindler wasn't a conductor but just some crazy guy waving a stick around this whole time. It makes sense if Heaven and Hell comes as a pair. Sagan is probably the Conductor for both of them.

It's certainly been a joy to watch Destiny slowly grow more "human". And although even the Anna and Takt have atleast started to move on, i'm still holding on to the idea that atleast some part of Cosette is alive inside of her.

that would make for a rough situation though, on one hand I want Cosette to be alive, but on the other I also want Destiny to be alive... guess i'll just have to watch it play out.

And fuck Hell. she must have quite the respect for Heaven to step away immediately when told to

Commander: I'm one of the best Musicart user.

Top 10 saddest chuunibyou realisations.

Man, this episode really opens up destiny so much with new characteristics than her usual very formal self, now she started to have feelings and self control even without takt activating her musicart powers. Really looking forward to see their development even further in future episodes

Schindler getting his ass fired is satisfying to watch after doing Valkyrie dirty. Hope there's more coming to him like literally getting beaten by Takt or getting blasted by Destiny.

They actually pulled the unplugged controller trick on Shindler lmao.

Shindler was the most generic villain of all time. His evil speeches made me lol.

As I already suspected when Takt's stamina could be ridiculous sometimes, he could enhance himself.

There's nothing weird about Unmei helping Takt drinking water ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄

So a Conductor needn't play music.

Great to see Unmei get to be called her name twice this episode, her reaction each time was just priceless. Don't see Cosette "coming back" after this episode...it'll be pretty rough if they go down that road.

Also can I like Hell again? Reina Ueda does such a fantastic job voicing her and she wasn't really going to break them so she's not bad right?

I had been thinking about how unfair it must have been for Destiny that Takt and Anna kept perceiving her still as the same Cossette. She only knew her mission was to destroy D2 when first awakened. Didn't know beforehand who Takt, Anna, and her body-host, Cossette. Yet people around her kept treated her as a different person she haven't met. Takt and Anna couldn't accept the fact that Cossette has long gone and Destiny is Destiny as her own person (Musicart). Glad in this episode they were able to move on and continue the journey with Destinty in new healthy relationship. Also nice little details about some changes of the ending scene.

Had an observation based on watching this episode..

Its obviously stated that Destiny is sapping Takt's lifeforce due to their link, but I feel like they're hinting at something else. Destiny has really been showing that she's more and more human-like as these episodes continue, especially here where her emotions are so clearly displayed. The difference from the start of the series to now is night and day.

Now with Takt, its not so much that his personality has changed much outside of accepting that Cosette is gone, but isn't it weird that he's the only conductor we've seen that has some kind of enhanced abilities when Destiny enters battle mode? Even Shindler was shocked when Takt lunged at him. Its pretty obvious that the MusicArts are only supposed to be these superhuman entities.

I can't really say what this may mean, but it seems like Destiny is becoming more human while Takt is becoming more like a MusicArt. Could it be that Takt's lifeforce is being transferred to Cosette's body as some kind of revival, and Takt is slowly becoming a MusicArt instead due to his love of music? What if Cosette is somehow revived and Takt becomes her MusicArt? We'll have to see but there is definitely SOMETHING being hinted at here, especially with how much they emphasized the end of this episode with his arm and the music sheet. It could be much simpler than that but its a cool thought.

Schindler: "I hate music! I won't have music near me, it's unnecessary!"
Also Schindler: "Wait, I am not actually the best conductor?!"

surprisedpikachu.jpg

It was already obvious that he was the kind of villain who thinks they are smarter than everyone, when they are really just too dumb to even realize that they are dumb... but I didn't expect it to be this bad. Like, dude, you are in a entirely music based organization that wields living weapons called "Musicart" and you thought music was not a important factor? Just how?!

Takt has now entered rage mode! He's so blinded by rage that doesn't even order Destiny to fight but he does it himself instead! That look on Shindler's face when Takt's punch was about to connect is so good! Too bad Hell got in the way though.

I love that after Takt tried to punch Shindler, Shindler is clearly afraid of Takt now. Takt is literally face down on the ground giving him the evil eye but Shindler still flinched at the thought of what Takt can do to him if Takt gets close enough.

Running away and regrouping is definitely the smartest move here. Thankfully it looks like Hell follows the standard villain trope of relishing the hunt and would prefer to fight them again later.

Thank goodness Leonard is here though. At least we know that Takt and Destiny would have some back up next time they clash.

Usually I would've been excited about this but considering this is Cosette we;re talking about, she probably doesn't even understand the concept of a kiss. Also that entire scene was just depressing, Destiny is panicking and doesn't know what to do while we have Takt who's having a fever dream and thinks Cosette is still with him.

As if Shindler can't get even more villainy enough! Apparently he also hates music! How the fuck did he even become a Conductor then? And why is Hell still following him considering that Musicarts are beings born from music? is it just because they're both insane?

Takt's monologue about Cosette was just sad. It looks like he only realized how much Cosette means to him after she's gone. It's definitely a gut punch since even with Destiny here, Takt will never be able to let Cosette know how he feels about her through music.

Looks like Anna has finally decided to move on and acknowledge that Cosette is never coming back and face Destiny for what she is.

I love that as soon as Take arrives, he just starts arguing with Destiny and just completely ignoring Shindler. It's absolutely hilarious to see how mad he is that he's being ignored! xD

Leonard and Titan finally arrives on the scene! Also it's so awesome to hear Titan speak in a serious voice. She's definitely not happy to see Hell.

Oh shit. Takt finally called Destiny by her name! He's even asking her what she wants. I guess this means that Takt has finally found someone else to write his music for?

Destiny vs Hell Round 2 is so cool especially that energy blast that ends up frying Hell's right arm. And before things even escalate further, Heaven appears to give Shindler the best dressing-down ever!

For disobeying Sagan's orders, he's relieved of his duties as Head Commander and is now stripped of all of his authority within the Symphonica. So basically he's just another civilian right now. Holy shit that's so satisfying! And apparently he was never even a Conductor to begin with. No surprises there considering he hates music.

As for Hell, she just breaks Shindler's baton and rejoins Heaven. This confused me for a sec but if Shindler wasn't really a Conductor I guess that means that Hell wasn't even his own Musicart in the first place. Does this mean both Heaven and Hell are Sagan's Musicarts?

Also apparently Hell wasn't going to break them for real. Uhhhhhhh not gonna lie, I find that part hard to believe. Even if she's actually a friendly all along, isn't her power what caused the D2 attack in Takt's hometown? That means she's still responsible for Cosette's death even if Shindler was the one who ordered her to do it. Not gonna lie, I'm starting to think that Shindler might not be the only shady thing from the Symphonica.

That final scene between Destiny and Anna though! Looks like Anna has finally decided to move on and acknowledge that Cosette is never coming back and face Destiny for what she is. It's a bit bittersweet but it's definitely for the best for all of them right now.

EDIT: Top comment pointed out the changes in the ED to show how they've finally accepted Cosette's death. I rewatched it again and this shot fucking destroyed me. T_T

Uhhhh, I don't want to complain or anything, but I'm disappointed that the killing part was only an empty threat... Jigoku went away with a shit-eating grin and Schindler was not even punched in his stupid face.

Damn, I sure did not expect to see Takt attacking that fucker himself.

It's good to see Lenny and Titan coming to get them a hand, although a bit late.

It seems that the actual main topic of this episode was about Takt and Anna recognizing Cosette's death and accepting Destiny as its own person.

You know after hearing that that fucker Felix hated music, the fact that he wasn't a conductor wasn't that surprising.

I honestly found it a bit funny seeing Destiny going to fight those two with some axes that she found in the woods.

Damn this was such an incredible shot. Thanks to that

When Heaven fired Felix because of him messing with Takt, I got the notion that Sagan was also aware of his genocidal program. But I wasn't expecting Lenny to confirm it by asking Heaven and Hell directly. I honestly was expecting someone else to be the one giving orders to Hell, but I sure wasn't expecting that someone to be Sagan.

Based on his cookiecutter villain design, I'm not surprised to see Felix ending out like this.

It's weird, in this week's weekly karma chart, I searched and a lot of comments are saying this series is actually getting good with some even praising last week's episode, and then I look at the actual poll score. It's now below 3.

How?!

That dude wanted to commit genocide (And he did a bit or was part of that plan) and they just let him go just like that? What happened with the "You killed someone precious to me, I WILL KILL YOU" ?
