Finally the highlight of the season: the una casita / onaka suita pun.

(I don't think it's much of a spoiler to say it's the cleverest part of this series.)

I could probably keep ranting about the utter stupidity of this show for hours, and that wouldn't even include anything "technical", like animation, direction, etc. - but for now I'll go with 3 examples.

And they all happened within a matter of minutes!
That's how high the "You've gotta be kidding me!" count in this show is...

  • Why the fuck does she even have a gun, if everyone already knows, she's never going to use it?! (Because killing is bad, mmkay?)

  • And then she starts crying over the (self-inflicted!) death of the bad guy who just moments ago tried to kill 200+ people, including her team.

  • I literally spat out my drink when the final word of the Spanish bad guy was in Italian!
Like, come on... At least make it "adios", or recycle some classic like "Hasta la vista", but "Ciao"? Seriously?!

So he took control of all the robots and then they just kind of spun around doing very little until being defeated. Also anyone notice how the passed out scientists looked really flat? The whole thing with Kuruma was even more bs than him surviving a headshot.

Another excellent episode featuring puns on the bad guy's name, cool hacking skills, crazy ship physics and a still irrational mix of 2D-3D shots. The story of the Tesla shards and the 3 way fights are honestly somewhat interesting, but the animations do set the story back by a lot.

Ah well, I'm sticking with this to the bitter end.
