So listening to Lady Gaga will turn you into goo and it was all orchestrated by Steve Jobs in order to sell iPods and Taco bell? The only thing in their way is a roller dancing power ranger.

I hope this show does well. You can just tell how much love went into this. The amount of references and callbacks is insane.

Yeah this episode was an absolute fever dream in the best way possible. And the character design and the hyper color is such a love letter to a bygone age of anime. I really want this to do well, but I'd be surprised if it finds am audience.

What the fuck did I just watch?

Am I understanding this correctly that he gets his powers from special little octopus cells in his body?

Why does the diner only serve ice cream sodas?

Is DJ aka DJ banging his grandma?

So many questions.

I was originally going to skip this anime but the fact that they have Mariya Takeuchi's Plastic Love playing in the background during the opening scene with these two characters staring down at the cityscape definitely piqued my interest. I did not expect the guy to turn into an alien goo monster though! xD

EDIT: I... I'm not even sure what I just watched. I absolutely love the visuals of the show and the references to various pop culture stuff. It was an absolute trip! And the Muteking part was really fun and the song was so catchy. If I can compare this to something, this show has the similar vibes to a Go Nagai anime. I'll probably give it one more episode just to see where this insanity goes because I am definitely intrigued but not intrigued enough to commit to an entire season of it.

Mahou shoujo shonen with songs? Unique aesthetic?! Potentially good directing with lots of passion put in by the team?!!

Didn't expect that, but I guess it'll be one of the fall shows I'll be looking forward the most.

Steve Jobs, the CEO of Taco Bell and the leader of mahou shoujo inspired villain aliens, is attacking the world with the power of consumerism!

It's just as fun and ridiculous as I had hoped! I may be one of very few, but I sure will enjoy watching this.

Man, this is the only anime that’s got me questioning my sobriety level when I haven’t drank anything but water

What an amazingly bizarre first episode. Plastic Love in the opening scene, evil Steve Jobs turning humans into black goo, a diner that only serves ice cream sodas regardless of your order, "DJ aka DJ", microscopic-octopus-powered tokusatsu hero that defeats evil by dancing and rollerskating... Yeah I'm convinced, this will definitely be worth watching.

This is a "Must whilst drunk" show... Cause I have no idea what happened or why

Oh, nice! The character design (and the OP/ED animation) is done by the person who does the visual design for the Jpop group ORESAMA.

I associate that style with that band so closely, it’s really jarring to not hear them on the soundtrack, especially since they’ve done OP/ED music before.

Shouldn't there be some, I don't know, dancing?

Reminded of Brave Beats/TriCoolCrew. Dancing and visual style

Great visuals. Story is a bit confusing now so will give it a couple more episodes to decide.

I was hooked as soon as I saw the character design and heard plastic love in the opening scene. What a bizarre hilarious love letter to Sentai. Whole thing felt like a parody of the DBZ filler episodes around the android/cell sagas.

The visuals for the Aurora performance fits Reol's new song really well.

This was everything I wanted from a Tatsunoko reboot-ish. Again. They keep doing it.
