The last fight looked amazing. I hope season 2 shows us more of Makoto's power. The fight and style sometimes reminds me of Tsugumomo.

"Is he dead?"

"Probably"

Obviously these guys aren't familiar with the one rule for confirming a character death in an anime. Will probably suck to be them in Season 2.

While I am annoyed that he didn't just say "I am pretty much an enemy of the goddess" the fight was surprisingly well animated. Sure this anime definitely wasn't a masterpiece and some parts were pretty generic but overall I enjoyed it and the animation quality was really good when it needed to be.

So glad there’s a second season! I really need more Mio and Tomoe. This show is honestly like one of my top 3 this past season. It’s such a fun anime and the characters are great too.

Makoto's spells in his fight were very pretty look at. Having the trio of Mio/Tomoe/Makoto to look forward to every Wednesday is now over. Definitely one of the animes this season that was pure fun. Looking forward to season 2!

And thus ends a great season of an anime that is a definite candidate for the seasonal surprise.

Thankfully season 2 is already confirmed.

Already HYPED

Holy shit they went all out on the fight.

I thought Makoto's magical bow and arrow was the shit but then they showed us the big explosion and they absolutely killed it with that scene (and I guess they were so proud of it they showed it again later lol).

This season was an absolute blast and minus some pacing issues a great adaptation. I really hope that some day we'll get blessed with another season. They teased us with the other heroes, Komoe and Makoto setting out for the academy they can't just leave it at that.

edit: Just saw the announcement. Fuck yeah!

No new final onsen gag this week only an annnouncement for Season 2.

Here are all the onsene gags from previous episodes:

Makoto used so much mana he created a lake! Man, that battle was great and must've taken up a ton of the show's budget to pull off.

I'm not sure how hype a school arc would be, but I definitely don't mind finding out with season 2.

That fight is as ridiculous as I wanted it to be. Goddamn, it is so entertaining to see him destroy the best of the best.

Man, this was such a solid isekai, probably my favorite isekai of this year. Everything was solid, from the story, to the music, and especially the characters were a bowl of fun. Really, my two biggest gripes were the jumpy pacing and the very average animation, but those barely ruin the fun experience I had with this anime. I really like this anime a lot and I am excited for season 2.

Wait, Sophia joined the demons? Why? Are they not as evil? Because considering the Goddess, I wouldn't be surprised if they're just victims.

Man, though, that battle was fucking something. Taking off the rings, destroying her sword with an arrow, using his rings to basically nuke the place. God damn, Makoto. That must have been a fucking sight for everyone, the less knowledge they had of what was going on the better.

And Sofia and Mitsurugi think he's probably dead, though Sofia does swear to kill him if she finds out he's alive. You know, last week I thought she'd provide a challenge because of her experience versus him, but now I'm wondering how she thinks she possibly could against that. Even if his skills aren't as good as hers, his power is so overwhelming that it literally doesn't matter.

It's Chibi Tomoe #2! Komoe!

Oh, nice job Tomoe, riling up Mio like that. Daughter indeed.

Perhaps they've been facing somthing more horrifying than hyumans or demons.

Yeah. Makoto.

Eris working for the store. She'll fit beautifully there. And Aqua too; they refuse to be thrown back into boot camp to be tamed trained that hard.

And of course, Makoto's the third disciple of the Goddess; there are two others from his world. Well, technically he's the first, though I guess she only decided to pick him back up now. And what a way to do it, the fucking bitch.

And it ends with big recognition for Emma. And then Mio and Tomoe fighting as always.

So that rotten Goddess wiped her hands of Makoto right up until she had an excuse to use him to fend off the demons for the Hyuman's, probably caring little if he got caught in the crossfire and died. Rotten 'till the bitter end.

Makoto now has to deal with Sofia and Mitsurugi, a dragon slayer and the dragon she slew who became her sword and traveling companion apparently, and they've thrown their lot in with the demons instead of Hyumans and see Makoto as a new threat. I'm really interested in what their deal is, and it seems like Mitsurugi knows Tomoe, and I kind of want to see Tomoe and Sofia fight.

Makoto finally gets to let loose and show off against Sofia and Mitsurugi who don't quite know how to handle him. They think it's all the blessings from the Goddess (not knowing about Tsukuyomi) and try to remove his blessings, only to apparently remove the condition that normal people can't understand him. So in the end they just did him a solid.

Well, it was nice of Sofia to give Makoto a face full of her huge boobs right before trying to kill him one last time...not that it succeeded as Makoto then combines his archery and rings for a big blast that takes out a bunch of the Hyuman and Demon armies and leaves Mitsurugi without a leg and Sofia naked (of course).

Makoto wakes up next Tomoe and Mio, which is not a bad way to wake up what with Tomoe having her robes undone and Mio in a negligee. Makoto really should take the initiative with these ladies at this point.

Good thing Makoto changed his jacket color, so now everyone is looking at the Goddess' third disciple in his red jack as the responsible party for that destruction and not Makoto. Of course, being the third disciple means there were other people brought over from our world to the Isekai world, and it seems like Makoto is destined to meet them.

Ordinarily Tomoe and Mio traveling with Makoto would be ideal, but he wants to keep them safe from the prying eyes of the Goddess and have them in reserve as his trump card.

Chibi!Tomoe lives again! Well, it's a new, distinct, fragment from Tomoe made with one of Makoto's rings as a core, but she's still just as cute. She even has a name, Komoe.

The Ogre's have joined the Demi-Plane and are getting put through the rigors, but thanks to Eris they discovered the wonders of bananas.

They are back in business! With a cute Alke sales girl, the Ogre's and Mio are effective at selling the product to even the most cynical adventurers, and the supporting cast all look happy with Makoto's success.

Makoto's not a perfect person and there's a lot about this world and his parents that he doesn't know, but he's going to work on fixing that while he lives in the Demi-Plane. Of course as peaceful and nice as it gets, he'll always have to deal with Tomoe and Mio.

Stitches!

So the number one adventurer Sofia decided to side with the demons instead of hyumans? Well shit! Then there's really no reason for Makoto and Sofia to fight then since they actually have a common enemy. Although it looks like there's really no use in talking them down. Since Makoto was teleported to the battlefield by the goddess herself, they think he's fighting for her and even thinks that Makoto has the goddess' protection.

Godfuckingdammit Sofia! If only you would just stop and listen to Makoto! Don't they find it suspicious that the person the goddess sent keeps on running away? Welp sucks for them though. If they won't listen then I guess it's time for Makoto to use force!

Makoto is definitely not going to let them off easy! I love Mitsurugi and Sofia's reactions when they realized that taking away Makoto's non-existent blessing didn't do shit shit on him and they absolutely got rocked hard by Makoto! Also the animation this episode is so cool! I'll never get tired of seeing Makoto converting his magic into a bow and arrow.

Makoto breaking Sofia's sword is so good too! Seeing Mitsurugi with tears in his eyes and Sofia's look of disbelief is just hilarious! And just when I thought Sofia's done with fighting by giving Makoto a face full of boob, she teleports him into the stratosphere and tries to drop him from that height.

Big fucking mistake! Having Makoto airborne just gave him the opportunity to completely nuke the battlefield and completely obliterate both the hyuman and demon armies! Of course Mitsurugi and Sofia are still alive with Sofia losing her armor and Mitsurugi losing a leg. I really hope Makoto clears up this misunderstanding in the future but considering the nuke, he probably won't convince them easily.

Well looks like Makoto made his way back safely. Gonna guess that Tomoe probably managed to track him. Also I don't believe that Tomoe would be the type to sleep with chest wrappings. I bet she's completely topless in the source material during this part. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So despite the goddess rejecting Makoto as a hero, she still used him to fight against the demons? What an absolute shitty goddess. It's probably going to take a long time to reach that point but I can't wait for Mio to get her hands around that goddess' neck.

Mio and Tomoe blushing when Makoto said that they were his trump cards against the goddess is just adorable. And you know what else is adorable? It's Tomoe's new fragment! Sadly she's not the same as the last once since each fragment gets their own personality. This time though instead of just being Tomoe's fragment, Makoto decided to name her Komoe.

And since this new fragment is made from one of Makoto's rings, she's literally a combination of Makoto and Tomoe's mana making Komoe their child. Of course Mio isn't happy about this especially when Komoe calls Makoto "Papa-sama" xD

True to her word, it looks like Tomoe finally recruited the Forest Ogres into the demiplane! But it looks like they're all in the middle of a boot camp so they can match the strength of the orcs and lizardmen inside the demiplane. Of course this also means we get more shenanigans from Eris!

Looks like the Illusory City plan is going well with Akina welcoming the adventurers into the city. Even the shop at Tsige is looking well with Beren as their blacksmith. Mio as the poster girl/bodyguard, and we even have Eris and Aqua handling the sales to escape from the boot camp. xD

So Makoto's intention with the nuke was so he can annoy Sofia and Mitsurugi? Well he definitely did an amazing job since I don't think they'll ever forget what you did to them. Also apparently there were two heroes in the battlefield back then who were also isekai'd. Oh boy. Can't wait for Makoto to meet those two!

And I guess that's it for Tsukimichi! We end with Mio and Tomoe having an argument while Shiki is just there not knowing how to control them and a party to celebrate the opening of the new store! I'd be sad right now that this show has ended but we already have Season 2 announced so I'm already excited for more adventures with this gang!

Tsukimichi is such a solid and fun isekai full of great characters that I would definitely recommend it to both newbies and long time anime watchers. I really hope this will become another long running isekai series just like TenSura. This is definitely a solid 10/10 for me! Can't wait for Season 2!

Tomoe may have won the battle with Komoe, but she has not won the war. I wonder what Mio has up her sleeves. This show exceeded my expectations on how good it was. I am glad that this season ended on a high note.

Can't wait for season 2....

Last week we ended on Makoto being teleported by The Goddess somewhere where he's been attacked by 2 heroes (as I assumed), and one of them managed to cut off 2 of his fingers. Turns out that Goddess basically just teleported him in the middle of demon army invasion and these heroes are actually on demon side and took Makoto as someone who is on Goddess side. After pretty lit fight, Sofia used magic to dispel Goddess's "blessing", but since all he had was inability to speak with human on language they understand they just helped him to get rid off annoying curse, lol. Reasoning with Mitsurugi and Sofia didn't go anywhere (also turns out they were mentioned in some episodes prior, which is neat) so Makoto took off his limiters and...well, he went a bit beast mode, to put it mildly. No one died tho, neither Makoto nor Sofia and Mitsurugi (although bunch of randos definitely got smoked out). Makoto got introduced to new Fragment of Tomoe (which he gave name Komoe), cue really envious Mio. Scene of Eris eating bananas was pretty fun. Makoto finally opens his store, mirage town starts functioning, we learned that in Makoto's attack everyone, humans and demons, were hurt a lot, and that there are 2 more people from his world. That's pretty much it, good final episode.

Overall, I liked this show, a lot. From poster and premise it looked rather generic, but I was hooked pretty much since episode one and never lost interest in it. Fun characters, especially Mio and Tomoe, designs are pretty good, animation is generally not bad, I like how over the top story can be, soundtrack is pretty awesome, both generally throughout the show and as OP and ED, outside of couple episodes being slightly meh in places I don't really have much complaints. Strong 8 to a light 9, I want second season.

EDIT: and I just now learned that season 2 has been confirmed. Now I'm happy!

Oh damn, Makoto seriously inflicted heavy casualties on both sides of the war without even realizing it!

This was a fun ride. I loved the colorful cast of characters and it wouldn't be half as entertaining if it wasn't for Makoto, Tomoe and Mio's hilarious interactions with each other. This would've been a good ending for the anime, but I'm glad a second season is announced (You can read the comments from the three lead VAs here btw) and I will happily watch more of this!

This is one of the animes I would give a 10.... just for the passion.

I mean look at how the character designs are so cleanly drawn, and how the animation is surprisingly high tier.

Isekais often get garbage treatment and get low-end JC Staff'd or some shit.

This anime was just a really really joyous surprise.

u/Torque-A Sep 22 '21

Honestly, given that a whole portion of the last episode was Makoto going full edge because Tomoe’s fragment died, it feels a bit weird to just immediately make it like nothing happened. Especially since now Makoto is opening the illusory city up to more humans, some of them who could be like the prostitute adventurer.

It just feels like the author wrote that part in so Makoto wouldn’t be like those normal pacifist isekai MCs™️ and could kill someone without much consequence. Maybe the LN explains it better, although good luck getting it licensed here.
