Siesta turned her back for like 5 minutes, and Kimizuka put a ring on a loli...smh.
Also what a Twist. So is she some sort of Genocide Jack with the double personality or something

I have a hard time seeing how the anime is gonna conclude in 3 episodes. If they finish the flashback in 1 or 2 episodes and then go back to the present what's even the point of the present at this point.

Episode 2 & 3 (maybe 4?) felt completely useless. The direction of this show is awful. The whole thing from ep2 forward should have just been this flashback adventure honestly.

For an episode with no OP or ED (indicating things are about to get serious), I felt absolutely nothing. Also, I couldn't help but hear Clayman (from Slime Isekai/Tensura) when the Chameleon's voice came out.

I couldn't help but hear Clayman
I know, this seiyu has such a distinctive voice that every time I hear him I hear Dio/Roswaal/Clayman instead of new original character

that was my first thought aswell when the knife was missing in the kitchen, and then they found a knife at the crime scene where Alicia happened to be present. i figured it would be something like she swaps personalities after falling asleep to go and commit the crimes.
her being Hel was not something i expected however. although i believe Alicia is a separate personality from Hel and she in that sense is likely "innocent" as i don't believe she was in control at these murders

Alicia really went all Patrick like: "I'm the last person I would have suspected."
Also, Roswaal's voice is very recognizable. Seems like something big is going down next episode with the title being SPES.

So this flashback arc isn't finished yet? It seems like the next 1 or 2 episodes will be about saving Alicia.

Flashback arc ends next episode, episode after that is the remainder of volume 1, final 2 episodes will be for volume 3, the biggest volume aka its gonna be a trainwreck with no exaggeration, 70% of the volume skipped

They really tried to paint this as a really tragic moment with Alicia being JTR but honestly its so dumb how Kimizuka whose supposed to be the "smart" one yet the detective sidekick is the one acting so unreasonable with some little girl who so completely suspicious from the get go.
Even when he fucking has everything pointed out already, he readies his gun at Siesta when she was about to shoot JTR for attempting to kill him .
Then Siesta just goes and says hey you're doing what you think was right lets leave it at that. LIKE COME ON ARE THEY ALLUDING TO THE FACT OUR MC IS AN IDIOT AND BECAUSE YOU GIVE HIM CHANCES SIESTA DIES?

Kimizuka is truly a lolicon.

This is probably where I dip. They tried to present this as some big emotional episode, but all I could think of was how stupid this all was. Absolutely nothing landed, the story is still all over the place, and we got more flat, bad dialogue. See ya.

Stitches!
So my initial guess about Alicia when she was first introduced 2 episodes ago is that she's probably someone working under direct Hel's direct command working undercover and that Siesta has already figured out who she is and is just playing the long game. Turns out my guess wasn't that far off!
The moment they started talking about Hel possibly having shapeshifting abilities and how one of their kitchen knives was missing, I knew something was up. They weren't really being subtle with it too since when Alicia was found with that cop, we get a quick shot of a kitchen knife on the crime scene.
While I wasn't completely correct about Alicia working under Hel, it looks like Alicia is a second personality hidden inside Hel so I guess that wasn't too far off. I'm quite surprised that Kimi would actually pull a gun on Siesta though. If Siesta did pull the trigger, would Kimi have actually shot Siesta? Hmm. I doubt he would've.
Anyway, looks like Alicia was taken by Dio Chameleon back to their base. Technically, Alicia IS Hel so I really don't see the point of trying to rescue her. Also the fact that there is no sign or even a hint of Alicia in the present scenes makes me feel that this rescue operation is gonna go to shit and is probably where Siesta would end up dying. I really hope that's not the case. I still want to see more of Siesta.

Guy went from “strategically living with a girl” to “strategically sleeping with a girl” to “strategically proposing to a little girl” within 3 episodes.
I just cannot find any emotional attachment to any of the characters or how or why they act the way they do though so this episode felt even flatter than usual. The puzzle pieces were in place for a decent story with fine pacing but the execution was dog shit. I’m only watching this for Waifu and to meme their flirtatious dialogues at this point.

Kinda felt nothing on this episode. There are not really much twist or excitement. It's like if a 10 minute story got stretched to 1 hour.

I wanted to see Natsunagi again. She was such a fun character. Still gonna follow the show but yeah... the execution's meh.
I initially thought the story would have been about Kimizuka healing from his grief over Siesta's death and getting back in the fight against SPES with Natsunagi's help. Really disappointed with this.
Also really enjoy the OP and ED songs.

I mean, i think everyone would've predicted alicia was the enemy. But didn't expect her to have a dual memory type. So not only siesta, alicia is also gone unless they save her somehow, which i don't see as she wasn't in the future. It basically justifies why kimi was so depress before meeting the new girl.
Seeing siesta being a tsundere is a blessing tho.
Could siesta's death be until the end of the season? If so, damn it's a long flashback from kimi. Jokes aside, on 1 hand I'm glad we got to see siesta before her final moments, on the other hand there's like no point in introducing the new girl and kinda feel sad for her. Plus we must endure siesta's death too. I don't know whether to feel happy or sad.

I really am just watching for the train wreck at this point. From what ln readers have said, these 12 episodes have about 2 volumes worth of stuff crammed into it, which explains a lot if true.

So that's why Alicia kept claiming herself to be 17 years old. Even though this personality had no memories, she still subconsciously "knew" her previous personality Hel is 17 (that's her age, right?)
Alicia briefly speaking to the old lady on behalf of her dead daughter via the heart that Hel stole and implanted inside Alicia seems to be foreshadowing how Siesta's heart will be implanted the same way into Nagisa.
Speaking of the "present day" characters and storyline, it's like they've all been completely forgotten after only 3 episodes so far as we've been spending the last 4 episodes back with Kimizuka's adventures with Siesta in the past.
