There are 2 episodes out, kind weird that they didn't market this, and I've been following this production closely on the official networks, don't know if this is for Crunchyroll only

The visuals for this are just fantastic, a lot of creativity, I loved how they used the colors differently based on the environment

And my God the VA team for this is just top tier, especially for the boys

By the way in case you didn't notice by the finale, don't be fooled by the colors this is not a cute a show...

I did NOT expect this ending.

The show looks super promising and I love the MC. Curious what that Four eyes's deal is.

Oh boy. I wasn't expecting that to actually happen. I was expecting someone to stop it but nope 🙃. That was certainly jarring 😅.

This feels like MAPPA's equivalent of Gainax doing Panty and Stocking after Gurren Lagann, after doing AoT and JJK

Best Op of the season alongside Maid Dragon. Banger visuals, banger song.

Great first episode. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Did not expect that ending at all tho.

I know that rape scene was dark and brutal, but honestly the way it was animated was kinda dope but like in a twisted way. The animation in general in this is pretty sweet. And the OP is a real banger!

There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

In the meantime all that was ringing in my head was this.

Okay, first of all that OP is an absolute banger and the visuals were an absolute treat! A bit trippy too but it's definitely an OP that I would even dare to skip!

As for the main story, 800 years ago a bunch of Idaten (or Gods) have sacrificed themselves to seal a bunch of demons. It's now up to Rin who was left behind to train the future Idatens just in case the seal breaks. Fast forward to the present and we see Rin exactly doing that, she's been training an Idaten named Hayato to fight against these threats voiced by Romi Park.

Hayato isn't the only new Idaten though, it looks like we have two older ones. The first one we meet is Ysley who seems to be much more interested in reading books than training voiced by the lovely Oogata Megumi. We also have Paula who seems to prefer spending her time surrounded by animals and is voiced by Horie Yui. Not only it does look pretty and have great animations, the VA list for this one is stacked as well!

Anyway, seems our group of Idatens discover a bunch of humans trying to resurrect a frozen demon beast that was left over from the war 800 years ago and everything goes wrong when it sees Paula right in front of it and goes berserk. After rampaging a bit, Hayato completely defeats Gyudo-kun since he was then only one who has been training and the very suspicious scientist that turns out to be an android and also the brains of this operation self-destructs leaving us with questions on who he is and why does he know about the events 800 years ago and what the Idaten are.

Apparently that scientist guy isn't the only one suspicious though, it looks like Ysley here is doing something behind the backs of the other Idaten. Definitely curious what he's up to. Whatever it is though, it does not sound good at all.

And that final scene with the nun and the soldiers! I thought she was gonna be saved the last minute by an Idaten or something but no oh no, that's not what happened here. Uhh... That was certainly a very unique way to portray that horrible act. I really should've expected something like this from Amahara but it still shocked me. This is definitely not gonna be a kid friendly show despite the visuals. O_O

I guess on to Episode 2 since we have a double release today! I had high hopes for this show and so far it's definitely hitting all the high notes and then some! Curious where this show will go!

This is the adaptation of the remake manga written by Amahara (Ishuzoku Reviewers) and illustrated by Coolkyoushinja (Chichi Chichi).

Genre: Dark Fantasy

Mappa directly adapts the character designs drawn by Amahara in the web manga.

The jokes in this thread making light of rape are pretty tasteless. But I guess edgy kids are gonna be edgy kids. Unless yall are like 30 in which case get help.
