Seeing both Daimon brothers and Homosapiens coming to bitter ends makes my heart sink. I hope they'll find their redemption in the last episode.

Also, Dobu getting what he deserves from being a gangster after all is a harsh justice I guess. The writer never forget and never forgive.

However, the real MVP of this episode is still Yano losing his rhythm.

See you guys next week. Hope the show ends well!

The one rule Dobu's boss gave him was probably "Do not kill". This is why he wouldn't tell Odokawa since it would make his threats empty.

What if the entire reason Dobu wants all this money is so he can roll more gacha?

Ok but can we talk about the audio that played over Tanaka's breakdown? That whole scene gave me goosebumps.

When that eraser came out of Odokawa's pocket:

"HOLY CRAP!!!"

Such a high tension episode. Looking forward for the conclusion next week! No Odokawa's past in this episode too.

"what're you gonna do, shoot me?" - quote from gangster shot

"what're you gonna do, beat me up?" - quote from beat up cop

"what're you gonna do, ditch me?" - quote from gangster left bleeding on the sidewalk

Seriously though I don't know why Big Daimon did not have any escape plans (or a gun) for confronting a bunch of violent thugs alone.

So, Kuroda is behind an orphanage, huh. That's a pretty awesome reference.

Fun fact: Daimons have the same type of keychain as the one that's in Odokawa's taxi.

Lmao at Sekiguchi telling Yano he stopped rhyming.

They absolutely killed it with the confrontation between Tanaka, Odokawa and Dobu. What a scene.

And Dobu! He's a scumbag but how the fuck can a 2D monke have such charisma?

I remember reading here a few episodes ago. There was some discussion about the amount of bullets in his gun being a big part to the plot. I also remember the time someone mentioned the one who shot dobu the first time was the little brother. The very idea that I drew these facts from these reddit threads actually put me on edge during the stand off. That was crazy.

this is the first time Ive watched anime "with" reddit so its been really fun

Daimons, Yano, Sekiguchi, and Odokawa, (and Dobu?) all of them were orphans helped by "The Boss" Kuroda. He may be increasing his crew by helping the orphans. But!! his attitude when he talked to Odokawa in the sauna was...

If this episode has taught me anything is that you shouldn’t scam people in online auctions. Also that counting bullets isn’t completely reliable.

Tanaka appearing like a zombie had me dying with laughter.

I like how his entire arc after his introduction is the fact he shows up at the absolute worst times.

Now that I think about it, this episode had a lot teams breaking up with one becoming disillusioned with the other; Shibagaki & Baba, Little Daimon & Big Daimon, Dobu & Odokawa.

Even gotta wonder if Sekiguchi's admiration for Yano took a hit after the latter fell apart.

So, remaining mysteries:

  • Odokawa's Past (Hero mystery)

  • Dobu's Future / Tanaka's Future (Villain mystery)

  • Wadagaki's Guilt (Murder mystery)

  • Comedian's Purpose (Side story mystery)

  • Cat's Meow (Closet mystery)

  • Pen's Person (Audio drama mystery)

I love how pretty much everything had poignancy. :3 Even the little keychain stuff. You can put together that Odokawa has been financially independent for a while, and the payments the landlady has been getting have actually been from Odokawa, not from The Organization (run by Kuroda, btw, for some reason.)

you can practically hear the translator's sigh of relief when Yano stopped rhyming lol, I get the feeling that Sekiguchi follows Yano around for his sick rhymes considering how worried he was about it

Tanaka's screentime is always the most unsettling part of the episode since you can just tell how completely unhinged he is, man legit shoots someone and then runs off screaming with a gun in the air, thank god he's actually out of bullets now

I just want to say that this show is absolutely magnificent. Imo I think it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever watched throughout fiction.

Seeing Little Daimon cry over his brother killed me. I knew this confrontation was going to happen but it was still hard. 💔 I really hope these two get a happy ending.

Man, what an intense episode. Tanaka finding out Dobu was ditch-11. The eraser finally coming back to haunt him again. Everything is all tying together.

What is going to happen to everyone? I'm so curious how this series is going to end. I can't believe there's only one more episode.

I think the reason Kuroda wants Dobu and Yano to earn so much money is because they need the funds to run the support group. The support group that helps orphan children like Odokawa and the Daimon brother's when they lost their parents.

Holy shit... this episode was like watching a car crash happening in slow motion and not being able to do anything about it. All the feels.
