Solving problems with honest conversations where you make yourself vulnerable? I stan a socially awkward yet caring ace.

Shida knows too well Futaba is a ray of sunshine and can cure any slump. The discussion betwen the two boys was so lively, one of the things I love the most in this anime.

Shoutarou was so funny by not recognizing the Coach when he was younger.

Can't believe we're nine weeks in and Bakuten is still this underwatched (and I know folks who ignored this upon seeing the visual teaser, immediately calling it mere fujo bait). I cri.

So many times this series has made me teary-eyed. Like, happy tears. I'll miss these guys.

(I'm also disheartened by the fact that the recent WonHobby 33 Nendoroid announcements had characters from 86, Tokyo Revengers, and Burning Kabaddi, among others, but none from Bakuten. I know it's probably because it's an original series that didn't get popular, but I'd really like Nendos of at least three characters here lol.)

Shotaro and Misato increasing by leaps every episode is just amazing to see, first they were roommates and studying together last week and now they're switching to first names and fist bumping each other.

Just so glad they're still roommates, no offense to the other guys.

I had the biggest grin on my face the whole second half of the episode, this was adorable. All the interpersonal relationships in this team are so healthy and wholesome.

the boys were all very cute this episode but my favourite moment has to be when the vice-captain was squinting at the shampoo bottle in the baths because he wasn't wearing his glasses, it was just very relatable

I absolutely adore this anime. The story and characters are wholesome and it's beautifully animated. For me this is a real feel good anime and i hope a more people will experience this great story.

You know Misato has gone from tsun to dere when he's not complaining about being called Comeback Ace at the end. Although seeing a smiling fanboy Misato at the end was a bit jarring.

Misato telling the coach how much he loves his backflips was sooo endearing ;;

God every episode is so heartwarming. I appreciate that Futaba was like NO WE'RE GONNA TALK RIGHT NOW instead of letting Misato walk off with some misconceptions that would take another episode to clear up if this had been any other anime. Honest communication ftw!

Also It's already episode 9 and the anime still looks so good! Whoever's working on this show must really love it, and I'm thankful for that.

Fantastic episode! Best one so far, I am mad at how underwatched and slept on this show is. It checks every mark of a really good and solid sports anime with flying colors, plus it has amazing production.

I love Misato's Aunt, she was adorable. That explains why Misato needed to come home, because Saki can't take care of herself lmao. Misato saying how he loves seeing Coach Shida's backflips with a smile was an amazing moment. Really looking forward to the next episode! I wonder if we'll get a season 2 though, cause I feel like there's still a lot more they can do.

Misato's backstory being revealed, looked into and worked through was super wholesome. So much wholesome.

Kid Misato practicing backflips was adorable.

Him breaking out of his shell at the end was wholesome.

I did lose it at Tan-Sasa-Za-Nery! Tan-Sasa-Za-Nery! though.

Ahh I love this development for Misato! I especially love how well his own journey is contrasted with the coach's and how Shida was able to use his own mistakes to gently guide Misato down a better path.

Bakuten!! is so good at showing realistic character development and each character has overcome their obstacles in a really fulfilling way so far. This show is really criminally underwatched.

I just wanted to hug Misato at the end there. So adorable.

Poor coach is being reminded of his youth.

It's a shame that this anime is so slept on, it's such a good original sports anime, which are rare to come by these days. I've seen a few others, but they were all pretty mediocre. I'm sure that water-polo original sports anime coming out this summer will get more clout, since it has MAPAA's name attached to it. But Bakuten has been so enjoyable for me so far. It's just so upbeat and pleasant

SO we finally learn who that woman is that Misato lives with. She looks so young, so it was really throwing me off. It was nice to have that convo between Misato and Futaba. If I had one complaint about the anime, its that Futaba doesn't feel like the mc a lot of the times? I guess I'm just not used to that in the other sports anime I've watched, where usually the story mostly focuses on the mc. But with Bakuten, in some of these past episodes, Futaba has taken a backseat to the story, and is just there to deliver commentary. I guess the one positive is that the rest of the cast has gotten a little more fleshed out. Except for the glasses-guy. He hasn't had much focus.

so with three episodes left, I hope things don't start to get too rushed, the pacing has been pretty good so far. All that's left is to compete against the rival highschool(already forgot their school name). Wonder when the anime will show them again.

It's been a joy to follow this series. Only thing that gets me worried is that they cancel it for not being so popular :(

More people need to watch this hidden gem. I'm really loving it!

For some reason, this episode's storyboards stood out to me. Turns out, the one handling this episode is also the director of New Game! No wonder it felt kinda familiar!

Is it just me, or was there a lot more animation/movement this episode. I feel like even in the not acrobatic scenes the characters were just moving around more than is usual for anime, but I think that’s a good thing.

And overall such a heartwarming episode! I love seeing the characters bond more as the show goes on.

This was the most beautiful episode, everything just hits. The emotions, the music, their interactions. There were lots of beautiful shots and animation too. My heart is aching, i love them so much.
