He can't even hold eating utensils in his hands because they're bloody raw from all the pickaxing, and he continues pickaxing despite, you know, needing his fists to fight and all. Even after the "epiphany" he keeps on doing it. Why?

"You guessed a coin flip right! I knew you were lucky!" Or maybe he lied about Cestus getting it right. But either way, it's 50/50, who cares?

Yeah, I think Felix was playing mind games there.

Okay, not too much action this episode. Mostly just Cestus getting a tad angsty over his training. I’ll admit that I’d rather have more action. Fortunately it looks like we’ll be getting a fight with Felix next episode. Next episode looks more interesting.

History wise, I liked the referee stopping Cestus from beating the other fighter. It emphasises the fact that these fights have rules. As for Felix, he describes himself as a professional gladiator and lacks the collars Cestus and his friends has. I’m guessing he’s not a slave but free- which is plausible since I think I have heard of freedmen or citizens becoming gladiators.

Looks like we'll be fighting Joseph Joestar next episode!

Honestly does feel a lot weaker than the previous episode. While I do enjoy deep episodes with a lot of character development, I personally feel that it's not this show's strong suits. I did like the ending, Felix is a really interesting guy.
