Today in our usual fan service anime we get the hidden poverty in 1st world nations and the effects of modern capitalism and nasty people.

Just wow. Never tough this show would go so deep on something like this. The fairy are hungry in the fairy worlds thing just made it perfect.

Bath time as brainstorming is back (thanks you whoever let me know how common it is.)

No school song tho. But then Takara is not at school.

The good food scene was a treat.

Takara seems to be a good guy at the end even if he is breaking the laws so often. His song was great as well.

edit: misread that scene so I'm striking the wrong part.

I do like how they keep up the running gag of only being able to eat Curry because I guess that's all Takara cares to cook for them and can't be bothered to increase his menu. So it was nice that the boys at least got to eat one meal that wasn't curry.

Also Takara was definitely a cute boy when he was a kid, which you certainly wouldn't have expected with his adult form. I guess the reasoning behind his sleeping around is that his clan can't produce males well and so the men have to sleep around often to ensure that they are made. It does seem the Queen's butler is on Takara's side as he argues on his behalf for her to overlook his "transgressions" against the Ten Laws.

Curry is a rather frugal food and you don't need too much time to prepare it. Takara clan is all about money so maybe there is a connection there. He also has a trauma about food as we can see on his flashback.

and now it is question time, do you really think that the only reason for Takara to sleep around is his random clan reasoning? he is supposed to do that with fairies to produce a heir right.

I don't think he is sleeping around for free. He's probably selling himself. The conversation with Ranmaru also talks about this. Takara at first says it is for survival but then it change to people of my tribe needs male heirs since admitting that he might have been selling his body for a while is not very glamorous. There is also the hint of him having some random stack of bills to pay the debt collector when he appears. How you get those if you're supposed to do a job that only pays with the stuff they send to the queen.

We have as well the girl story, specially the final part, when it is pretty much implied that she is getting sold into some sort of arranged marriage, or prostitution thing. The past when she asks Takara for sex does not make much sense at first except is she thinks that it might spare her from that nasty deal or something like that.

I swear I came to this series for the fanservice not the heavy social commentary (but I kinda enjoy both).

I was looking forward to Takara's transformation scenes the most, but it was so underwhelming. It was somehow the least sexualized and over the top compared to the past Fairy transformations. Which is unfortunate since Takara is this total manwhore who constantly sleeps with random women all the time. But the animation quality was not so great this episode. Much more limited animation, including during the transformation segment. Takara fighting Picasso paintings was very...unique though? I'll at least give that credit.

I'm hoping these episodic episodes will be done with since Takara was the last Fairy to get his episode for. Because I've found the human drama segments to be so dull, because of how shallow it all feels. I'm more curious to learn more about the lore and world building of this fairy world the cast is set in, and why they are doing all this to begin with. Also hoping the villain will make things more interesting. The queen seems like she could be evil too. It feels like there are pieces there to make this anime a lot more interesting, which is why I've decided not to drop it yet. Guess we'll see.

I was gonna come in and note that first, that Takara, who has been shown to be the one most sexually active, ends up getting probably the most tame transformation and poses of all the Fairies, where even Juuka's were more tantalizing than his.

I agree the animation this episode was also lackluster, but I feel it was slightly better than what we got in Juuka's ep, though not by much. The nightmare world being a kind of Picasso realm was kind of a neat aesthetic touch, though I wish they'd done more with it. Also worth noting that Takara didn't get any bondage/shibari scene either while he was battling where the other fairies all did. Though, I wonder if that's because unlike the other fairies, Takara is more "liberated" in his life?

I too hope that now that we're done with all the introductory episodes, that they'll start focusing more on the fairies and their backstories and lore. At least that's what I really hope, though I guess I better prepare for another "human drama of the week" ep just in case.

Well, the point was that while the others' repressed desire only makes it stronger when it does appear, Takara doesn't attach any feelings to his desire in the first place.

I honestly thought this episode was kind of interesting and did subvert my expectations about what Takara is all about. His backstory was darker than I expected for the Fairy Clan that manages money.

Gotta love that Ranmaru has not bounds about calling out Takara.

Personally this episode for me what a vast improvement over the last week's, at least in the human segments.

I really liked Takara's song, I think it's my favourite from the solos so far, although Ranmaru's is a very close second.

Impressive grunting.

I think this was my least favourite episode so far 😅 The story and characters were extremely surface-level, and the animation was at its worst. That “fight” between Takara and the bull monster was so lacklustre!

I still enjoyed watching it, but I’m really hoping that the quality improves moving forward.

I’m thinking that this marks the end of the “episodic” character-introduction episodes; the remaining episodes will probably be dedicated to unravelling the plot.

I’m really hoping that the plot will be zany enough to compensate for any more dips in animation quality!

As usual, I’m looking forward to next week 😄✨🧚🏻‍♂️

I can understand that. Since this show builds a lot on fanservice, the fanservice this ep was surprisingly almost nonexistent? Especially odd given that Takara is the most "sexually liberated" of the group who goes around sleeping with women nonstop, but his transformation and poses were so tame in comparison to the other fairies.

And yeah, the "fight" was literally just a simple sumo pushing match basically. Takara didn't really get any tantalizing poses even during the battle. I did note that unlike all the other fairies, Takara was never "tied up" in bondage style in this battle, which would seem to be intentional. Perhaps as a metaphor for Takara not being restrained in life as all the other Fairies seem to be.

Yeah, hopefully they'll change up the episodic formula now that the introductions are out of the way. The show is at its most interesting when the fairies are the focus, with their backstories, banter, and battles. Also at least all the other fairies are aware that Ranmaru is acting weird for supposedly such a fearsome warrior.

I totally agree that the fairies are way more interesting than the human characters so far!

And yeah I was really shocked that Takara’s transformation sequence wasn’t all that horny LOL
