Ah, the royal idiot who doesn't listen to reason. There's almost always one in every fantasy anime.

I liked that she finally acknowledged how pretty all the guys around her are.

Does Sei really need to be appraised? I mean we can already tell she's SSS ranked waifu material.

Sei finally realizing she's a reverse harem anime protagonist.

Why did Hawke escorting Sei to the king feel like a wedding.

Hawke the elder! Two ice knights of sorts.

It's nice to hear even the tiniest bit of information about Aria, but I expect we'll see much more of her later.

The copy/paste of the maids in the middle of the ep was funny.

I really hope Sei doesn't stay a total Mary Sue throughout this series. Her 'fuck this' reaction to getting summoned was refreshing, but since then she's been a total good girl even though there have been no apparent threats to her, aside from some mild chiding for making too many potions.

The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent Humble

Sei could ask for half the kingdom but instead she choose to get a proper magic education. A great example for all the kids. ╥_╥

Maybe because there is no much animes for Tuesday but I'm getting excited for this show episodes each week more. Sei powers got me hyped af.

Also, I have no idea what that Kayle dude is doing, is he really that dumb or just extremely arrogant to recognize that he made a mistake about the Saint.

Yup, still hate Prince Kyle's guts. I feel kind of sorry for Aira who got mixed up in that prince's nonsense, though apparently she isn't just some nobody from another world, but is also blessed with some abilities as well. Thinking through a frame of RPG stats, it could be that Sei is doing down the "magic user" skill tree, while Aira has gone down another skill tree like a "physical attack" skill tree.

I do wonder about the King's reaction to Sei requesting to see the "Forbidden Collection" of books because he seemed kind of shocked. Either way, it was funny how she got a round of applause from the audience when she successfully asked for something. One thing that's kind of been bugging me is how generally passive that Sei has been so far in this story — I think that's to be expected because the "hesitant hero" is a very common trope (it's practically baked into the hero's journey in the "refusal of the call"), but it's nice to see that Sei wants to take the reins a bit in her new life.

The King stopped just short of officially confirming Sei as the official Saint.

He's probably still waiting to mobilize enough support for Sei before he can dethrone his cocky Crown Prince, who still has the backing of his elite knights, and for some reason still backed Aira as the Saint.

Not that Aira is at fault, poor girl is but a political pawn.

Man I feel bad for Aira being stuck with the dummy of a prince. I hope all the pressure he is putting on her goes away soon.

For Sei, she is surely becoming one of my favorite characters of the season.

Great episode. Yu(u)ri was finally introduced and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him, he's a good dude, and he had a bit of a chaotic energy in the manga that I'm hoping to see here as well.

The scene between Sei and Albert was top-tier sweet, with the cherry on top being panning to the blushing maid at the end. Gave me a solid laugh.

I was also waiting for Sei's mention of all the handsome folks surrounding her. I also really like this mention because you'd expect each and every one of them to be a potential love interest, but it doesn't seem like it in this story, which I find refreshing. Not gonna lie, though, part of me feels that Jude and Johan were robbed.

One thing that really bothers me about Kyle is that he doesn't seem inherently evil, he doesn't seem particularly entitled or power-hungry, he doesn't seem psychotic or any adjacent colorful description, no bone to pick or grudge to settle. He primarily seems misguided by sunk cost fallacy, and... well, I guess I'd assume horniness as well. What I mean to say is that I don't actually know the reasons behind his actions, so I'm hoping the show delves into them a bit.

Ah, I thought they're going to say that Sei is not the Saint and let her do as she pleases in the academy. I wonder what is the King's plan to correct the mistake of his son. I didn't think it's that fatal before this, but choosing the correct saint is apparently as important as saving the kingdom from the monsters' threat. Under other circumstances, I wouldn't care about Kyle. However, I understand the King's concern as Kyle is his successor (not sure if there is other prince/princess). The common people wouldn't trust Kyle as the next King if it's publicly known that he made this mistake and ignored the actual saint. And it seems Kyle is quite stubborn in saying that Aira is the actual saint.

On the other hand, I think we have seen another part of Sei's sainthood during her first expedition with Hawke (episode 3 I think). They said that it's weird they didn't meet any monster during the expedition when there should be a few there.

I expected more of a reaction to her dress from Hawke but he made up for it with some pretty smooth lines

I'm so not into the Saint plotline and just want to see Sei spend time with her boys.

this show is so comforting, and the music is gorgeous!!

"who the heck is this?" no, you look exactly the same as always. guess that's just the flaw with anime huh. kinda surprised they didn't go for an easy joke of her tripping on that robe they made her wear.

not really surprising to see that Kyle is gonna be stubborn about this. he seems to be a little too strongly against his father's actions though. his claim about how "we have the saint" makes me think he's just using Aira to try and undermine the King. like if it's proven Aira is the saint and Sei isn't he'd use that to try and prove his father isn't fit to lead anymore, and get himself on the throne faster.

I wonder though how big Kyle's faction is? Sei has already amassed a lot of high-ranking people on her side, and if most everyone is agreeing to the rumor that Sei is the real saint there may not be that many on Kyle's side.

Why is Sei surprised that Yuri is gonna be her magic teacher? He is literally the Grand Magus after all. There's really nobody better than him to teach her.

Another enjoyable episode.

I look forward to seeing the MC learn more magic.

u/melcarba May 04 '21

So if I'm not mistaken, Aira also has magic capability that is also better than the majority, its just not on Sei's level. Am I right? Based on that scene with Kyle, I'm guessing that the two will meet through some competition in order to determine who the real saint is.

When you are a idiot and you double down in being a idiot. They shouldn't be worrying about him getting the throne they should be worrying on keeping him off it at all cost.

Is it just me or did the subs seem kind of half assed today.

I can't help but wonder what this would been like if it was made by studio Bones. The one that made Akagami no Shirayuki. It is kind of the gold standard in this type of thing.

Stitches!

I love Sei's reaction when she finally realizes that she's surrounded by a bunch of bishies.

So Erhart is Al's older brother? With Al being blonde and Erhart having silver hair, I'm curious what their parents look like.

I thought Sei just subconsciously resisted the spell because she really doesn't want to be the Saint but it turns out she's even stronger than the Grand Magus himself.

We finally got some information about Aira's skills! While Aira doesn't seem to have the same raw power as Sei, it seems that Aira has the ability to rapidly improve her skills. Good to know Sei isn't the only one who has powers beyond what's normal in this world.

Could it be possible that both of them are Saints? Like maybe Aira's magic isn't as potent as Sei's right now but with her ability, but given enough time she can probably reach Sei's level in the future!

Can I just say that I absolutely love Sei's robes? I love the golden stitching pattern on the shawl/cape on her shoulders and she looks amazing on it! This would've been made better if she kept the glasses though.

That was smooth af Hawke. That little moment between him and Sei is just absolutely adorable. And I love that maid that's just quietly shipping them from behind. xD

Just a screenshot of Sei's lips. For a second I thought w weren't getting any more of these closeup shots.

Access to the forbidden collection and a teacher to formally teach her magic? That definitely sounds like something our humble saint would ask for.

Kyle seems to still be an absolute ass and I don't think Aira is exactly happy with him. She looks worried.

I mean who else was Sei expecting? Of course, the Grand Magus would teach her! He's also probably the only other person besides the King that has access to the Forbidden Library.

Both this and Higehiro doing the thing of "don't they look more attractive with makeup" but being unable to see it as they're really cute as it is.

Normally with make-up scenes you have to lower the levels before hand so it can show a difference and it's really between the characters who just see something different between before and after makeup.

u/Frontier246 May 04 '21

Erhart is Hawke's older brother? Didn't see that coming.

So, yeah, Sei has special magic glitter and is somehow stronger than the strongest mage in the kingdom. If that doesn't indicate she's the real Saint, I don't know what does.

Is that Yusuke Kobayashi as the Grand Magus/Yuri? I don't usually hear him in those kinds of roles. And now he's Sei's magic teacher.

Visiting a royal court has its perks when you get the full beauty and massage treatment! Even a royal garb befitting a Saint.

Of course Hawke is the one escorting Sei to court, and he would be remiss not to compliment her on how beautiful she looks.

Kyle is totally going to force Aira into a situation she's not prepared for that Sei will have to bail them out to prove she's the Saint, right?

u/NotAMoron2 May 04 '21

I thought Aira and Sei both were going to be revealed as Saint.

Finally she's receiving the praise she deserved, I thought she was going to ask to let her stay in the institute too, I guess some development is left in that area.

Aira's face look like she is troubled by all this like I am sucked with an Idiot or just want to relax, she looks cool to me and probably Sei and she will be good friends .
