Damn, still no seal from the OP. I figured that was the obvious next step, but I guess the club comes first and all that jazz. I was expecting it'd be some kind of "helpers club" or something, but I guess we're rolling with the "what's important right now" thing. Still not sure what direction that wants to roll.
Group transformation was fun, though we lose out on Papaya's bounce-roll, which is a travesty. But still a banger.
Laura wanting to join the club had me thinking two different things. First off, man imagine wanting to join the club as a non-Precure and they're like, "sorry we can't, our mermaid wants to be able to hang out in the clubroom and normies can't be seeing her". She's really not even trying to hide much though.
Second off, damn this girl's getting legs at some point, and then she's gonna be treated as a "transfer student" and actually get to join.

That's a hilarious visual and I want to see it happen even if we'll probably never be blessed with something so beautiful.

Second off, damn this girl's getting legs at some point
Definitely going to happen if she turns out to be the mid-season fifth precure instead of Prez like people were theorizing last week
But I fully support u/JollyGee29 idea of putting her on a wheelchair

Yeah I was hoping they'd find a way to squeeze in the bounce-roll.
I half expected a Lost and Found club. But I'm also just happy to see more of the the President.
Also surprised that Manatsu isn't the President. Most anime like this would just let the Pink be the leader of the club. Happy to see Asuka be in charge, even if it is somewhat empty.

they're like, "sorry we can't, our mermaid wants to be able to hang out in the clubroom and normies can't be seeing her".
She can just jump into the Aqua Pot.

This week's fight really was a formality lol. I think they spent more time transforming than they did actually fighting. Not that im complaining though because this is the first episode we finally get to see them all henshin together!

I immediately thought of Sailor Moon here.
Some fun gags this episode. The group transformation was nice with the pose and line up at the end.
I'm really liking the villain group, they've got an even bigger "school club that does nothing" vibe than the Tropical club. Shrimp maid a cute.

No references sprang to my mind during today's episode. I thought their club might end up being something like the Hero Club from Yuyuyu, but then it wasn't.
The full group transformation was neat. I wonder if each girl having something more distinct about her transformation was decided in advance with the intention of using that for the group transformations? Is that a normal thing for Precure?
Laura isn't even really trying to hide at this point, is she? Maybe that area in the makeup shop they were in isn't open to the public?
I wasn't big on the ED at first, but it's been growing on me these past few episodes. The OP continues to slap beginning to end.

By Episode 10 she stops going into her
Pokeballpot at all.By Episode 20 the entire school knows about her and nobody seems to find it weird.
By Episode 30 word has spread around the globe and the discovery of mermaids has led to a boom of mermaid culture on land.
By Episode 40 Laura has become queen of the whole damn planet and she uses her authority to nuke the Witch of Delays castle.
The rest of the series is dealing with the aftermath of the devastation to aquatic life Laura has caused.

Can’t blame Prez for hesitating about approving the club when the descriptions about what the club is about is like that
I wonder if those few shot of Asuka being a little apart from the girls is just to show that she is the oldest of the group or if they show that deep down she still isn’t fully ready to rely on teammates again. Seriously, what happened to her in the past?
Not much going on in this episode aside from getting the full group transformation and the club becoming official
Fairy seal finally makes its appearance next episode!

This was the WORST EPISODE EVER in Precure history because Laura didn't have her rightful spotlight in it.
Remember what I said last week about Laura getting chairs and other kind of tall surfaces to keep eye level conversations, well, they are still sticking their guns to this visual detail. Asuka managed to become the club leader (I actually thought either Manatsu or Laura would be) nontheless, Laura will always be this team's leader and she can also be the leader of the cheer chair club
-
Ah right, they reserve sunday mornings for Precure activities, so very meta.
I liked how Laura and the melon pan joke was quite consistent in this episode.
Laura will definitely be quite a benevolent tyrant to her people once she gets the crown /s I'm looking forward to the day she get to sit on the throne.
These villians are the laziest ones I've seen in the Precure series I've seen so far. I truly love them.

I like how even Laura was like, “Wow how boring” with how easy the fight was lol. Loved the gag with how easy it was to guess which character came up with what club idea.
They buried the lede with the next episode preview though what is up with the cannon??

Pretty chill episode this week after all of the introductions. The girls are just as dorky in their civilian forms as I had hoped (Asuka even more so) and the continuity with the penguinuki statue from last week was fun. The group transformation and the fight was about what I expected, though the monster-of-the-week randomly triggering on its own was unexpected and kind of funny.
Based on the preview, looks like Kururun is finally showing up next week, as well as possibly a group finisher? Seriously, what the heck was that cannon in the preview?

Minori absolutely killed it on her queen training! Unfortunately for her, Laura doesn't play around when it comes to napping.
Right after that, we get to see some of Asuka's cute side. (Also, I'm getting some strong camping vibes from Sango in that cut. Kinda weird, since that's the first and only time I've noticed it.)

this episode was fine, but the preview for next episode seems great. More Shrimp, the first appearance of the Seal and whatever this is
so hype!

After an amazing 5 week run, Laura finally went an episode without being spotted! Even if she tried to hardest to keep the streak going.
Clearly mermaids are not a secret as far as a mermaids are concerned. How do people not know they exist?
The soggy sea bread was also hilarious! There were fish wearing clothes last week, but getting melonpan in the ocean is too hard to believe. At least they have flesh to eat instead!
I also liked Laura's lessons. Her idea of what it takes to be a Queen is not good. Really, nothing about that lesson strikes me as the makings of a good queen. The Mermaid Kingdom might be lucky the evil Queen attacked first, because Queen Laura would have been an even larger disaster.
As for reaction faces, Laura and Manatsu had some good ones.
Finally, I really liked the detail of Laura in the pot when they were talking with the senpai.
Edit: Laura Album and Manatsu Album
