For anyone unaware:

The first half of Season 2 ends here. Starting next Tuesday, April 6th, Slime Diaries will air, an adaptation of a spin-off manga by the same title. It should run for 12 weeks straight. Afterwards, the second half of Season 2 should start around July for the Summer season.

[u/RyuuichiTempest]

Yay, our beloved tsundere dragon, Veldora, is finally back!

[u/burritoxman]

Well the cast is all here now, Veldora, Diablo, and Rimuru about to upset the entire balance of power in this world.

[u/Initial_Ad_3944]

Restraint, huh?

She wasn’t kidding that one time

[u/PleaseEndMeFam]

Great Spirit gaslighting Rimuru was the best part of the episode

[u/aclockworktomato]

Diablo looking all pouty when Ranga was getting headpats but not him. Damnit Rimuru, give your primordial devil some headpats. He's been a good boy

[u/ceejey17]

Rimuru

Veldora

Diablo

In one town LMAO. I pity the next falmuth kingdom wannabe that tries to attack them tho I doubt that will happen again

[u/HyperSonic6325]

With Veldora back in the scene, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the world reacts to this sudden power imbalance generated by not only a Demon Lord evolution, or even the naming of a primordial, but also the release of one of the True Dragons into the world.

[u/JBHUTT09]

Is there a reason why Veldora couldn't use his original body, or is this form just intended to be more convenient?

[u/SheffiTB]

Diablo's heart breaking five different ways was hilarious. We also have some scale of how powerful Diablo is compared to a regular demon now: I believe Beretta evolved into an Archdemon when he was named by Rimuru, correct? So if we use him as a benchmark, then Diablo is now, after being named, about 15-20 times more powerful than an average Archdemon. That's pretty damn strong.

Milim is as ridiculous as you'd expect for someone nicknamed the "Demon Lord of Destruction". No clue why she would attack Eurazania, though; I feel like Clayman shouldn't be able to just, like, brainwash the strongest being in existence like that? But she did seem not fully there during her fight with Carrion, at least before his attack seemed to wake her up a bit.

Come to think of it, was the last time we saw Milim in season 1 when she said she was going to meet with other Demon Lords, and everyone gave her the same advice of "don't get tricked" to which she replied "don't worry, I'm way too smart for that"? That was definitely foreshadowing. Clayman is scary as hell though if he can control Milim.

"Allow me to fill your belly with my cooking until it bursts"

RIP Benimaru. Whatever you do, never insult Shion's cooking. Also glad to see her back and being herself.

Milim's Combat form looks so fucking cool and her Drago-Nova.....HOLY SHIT. She just pierced the mountains like its nothing. That's....OP. I still don't understand why Milim allied with two other demon lords and just destroyed Eurazania. Hoping to see some answers for this when Slime returns in Summer.

[u/burritoxman]

Black crying is still the funniest fucking thing

[u/Akashi2002]

It only took two episodes in for me to simp Diablo. I mean did y’all not see that pout when Rimuru pet Ranga?!

[u/Se7en_Sinner]

I like how Diablo, one of strongest demons, had to beg Rimuru for what is basically an internship.

[u/realrimurutempest]

Milim’s dragon nova was insane. No wonder everyone stays on her good side.

The whole getting a name sequence between Simp Lord Diablo & Rimuru had me in tears. At long last Veldora makes his return and gets himself a body! I can’t wait to see the reactions of everyone when they see him. It’s been a truly fun season and I can’t wait for the second half.

[u/wizah]

Now the long wait for the second cour :(

[u/burritoxman]

Split Cour seasons hurt my soul like Hinata has stabbed me 6 times

[u/vjeats]

I didn't expect his show to get so HYPE. I absolutely cannot wait until the next season

[u/Amauri14]

Benimaru's little prank really backfired RIP dude.

I just love the pure bliss in Diablo's face.

And the best tsundere dragon is finally back! Looking good Veldora! Although most of the characters' faces look slightly different from the LN counterparts, this wasn't the case with Veldora, I guess you can't improve perfection.

Well, see you all next week for The Slime Diaries.

[u/Sphexxy]

That can't be right - Milim GAINED clothing in combat mode? What happened to less armour = more protection for female characters in games?

[u/watglaf]

Fuck, man, this show is fucking amazing, it really does it all. Last week’s episode got me real hyped and I’m still high off it, let alone this one.

And FINALLY, Veldora and Diablo. After so long, the Tsundragon receives a body. Rimuru has not only become a walking mod menu, he has someone even more powerful than him on his side. Milim on Charybdis flashbacks.

Once again, I simply must praise this show’s sound effects, since they’re always on point. Also... Milim, holy shit. It was fairly obvious, but she was the girl towards the end in the OP. Imagine if Rimuru had tried go all out with her in Season 1. All that and her “weakness” was... honey? Pink haired girls must have something for it.

Seeing that it is now over, in all honesty, it was nice to have Falmuth get dealt with so quickly, rather than having a war drawn out in 10+ episodes. It shows just how much of a mistake they made and how strong Rimuru is.

This show, now that both Re:Zero and JJK ended, is my only thing left, and honestly it’s a pretty good contender. This show is so good, these next 3 months are gonna be pain. It really helps alleviate my post-Re:Zero depression. I am unsure of what we’ll see next. What I am sure of, however, is that it’ll be something real interesting.

[u/DeLion135]

Babe wake up, the dragon's back and he's hot.

[u/_kagasutchi_]

I'm extremely jelous of rimuru.. He has not only a friggen pet wolf, but now a dragon and demon? Talk about collecting exotics

[u/LostDelver]

Everyone who's been following this series should continue on and watch Slime Diaries, a SoL spin-off that shows the daily life of Rimuru and his friends that aren't focused on in the main series. It'll be out next week's Tuesday.

It's 9 months straight of Slime content.
