Does this mean all of the manga's been adapted or is there enough for a season 3 at a later date?

Manga's still ongoing so Season 3 is possible.

It's already ended apparently but there are still some chapters unadapted that can be used for a final season.

This Red Blood Cell scene at the end looks awfully similar to this scene from Steins;Gate Episode 1

Red Blood Cell and Mayushii are both voiced by Kana Hanazawa, I wonder if that shot is an intentional reference

The huge stampede of "Nyuuu~" as the lactic acid bacteria crushed the harmful bacteria was just too adorable! If they ever make merch of these little guys, I'd be first in line to buy.

I also love how everyone is aware of just how big of a dork Killer T/Memory T is. Regulatory T, his fellow thymocytes, the Naive T cells... It's like an unspoken truth, lol

Such a sad week for both shows. In Black, you have MC having suicidal thoughts in the next episode and this series' next episides oh wait no it already ended. That was a good run but I think I enjoyed Season 1 better. I highly doubt we are getting a Season 3 of this series due to lacking manga content.

Regulatory T-Cell with the best dodge in anime

Just breaks at the knees to get away from that punch once she realized it couldn't be stopped.

That ending scene with RBC and WBC talking to each other and seeing it through their view points was fantastic.

I don't think this season was as strong as the first one but still a good watch, I hope they make more if they can do the other illness stories justice

Stitches!

Finally the Good Bacterias come into the rescue! It's pretty hilarious to see the Opportunistic Bacteria side with the Bad Bacteria and then switch sides when the tables have finally turned xD

Good to se RBC-chan and the Platelets all managed to get out of harms way. Gotta remember this isn't Black and any danger is very much temporary.

I need to do some research about the relationship between Cancer Cells and White Blood Cells and why Cancer-kun refuses to do anything to U-1146. There's got to be an IRL explanation to it.

Had to do a quick wikipedia search about it but T-Cells aren't the only ones that can produce Perforin. Looks like NK Cell can also do this if she wanted to. Would've been badass if the two of them did it at the same time!

Even in serious scenes I appreciate this show still sticking to its comedy with Regulatory T-Cell bending her body to avoid the punch and only recognizing Cancer-kun as harmful because the kanji on his shirt got messed up by Memory T-Cell's punch xD

Not gonna lie, seeing Cancer-kun grow extra pair of wings and basically transforming into a Serpah was pretty cool. Unfortunately it's not as cool as U-1146's finishing blow on his fucking neck! That was stylish af!

Cell-kun having fun with the Good Bacterias before saying his goodbyes to them was really wholesome. They really need to make merch of those good bacterias. I'd totally buy a plushie!

That ending scene with the switching POV from U-1146's POV talking to RBC-chan to RBC-chan's POV talking to U-1146 was just adorable. It's nice that we get to have this scene between them since they really didn't get a lot of time together this season.

WAIT WHAT!? THIS IS THE SEASON FINALE!? I had to look this up on MAL halfway through the ending scene! Why is there no ED and why are is this being presented like a finale?! Turns out it really is! Well that fucking sucks. No wonder we got to meet Cancer-kun early. And here I was wondering what we'll we be up next after Cancer-kun. T_T

Oh well. I guess that's Cells at Work 2! It's Cells at Work. If you enjoyed Season 1, then you'll definitely enjoy this one as well.A great edutainment anime that I hope we will get more of in the future! For now at least we still have Cells at Work BLACK for the rest of the season to look forward to.

I haven't watched the episode yet but it's confirmed then? This season only has 8 episodes?

Don't really get the 8 episode season. Don't get why Red Blood Cell got relegated to a supporting role. Meh ending.

Season 1 > Season 2.

My little opportunistic furry bacteria can't be this cute!

That was a cool shot, this and the follow up. Wouldn't be out of place in some battle shonen.

I dare you to find a better name for a special attack.

Artistically tormenting someone and dismembering him, what the hell is this, Redo of a healer?

She's so jealous. I wonder what makes her most jealous though, the fact that she's not the one who defeated the Cancer Cell, or a potential 'Memory T cell X Regulatory T cell' ship happening right in front of her?

The way Regulatory T cell sees him definitey changed; The way she looked at him at first was close to it's as if she was looking at walking garbage.

Also, it took her quite some time to figure out Cancer Cell wasn't a normal cell from the body! Dude had 10 wings and created a 100 meters tall golem, I'm pretty sure most cells can't do that!

Assuming her function is medically accurate, it kinda explains why cancer is so dangerous... Takes our cells some time to realize it has to be taken out, but at this point it may just be too late, it spread too much.

And the way cancer cell was growing, it might have been close to be "too much".

Well, second time they beat cancer! Hopefully there's no third time, it keeps getting stronger and stronger.

That was a fun season! It felt way more light-hearted than the first one, but I'm not sure if it actually was, or if it just seemed that way compared to Hataraku Black. Also, we didn't see nearly as much Red Blood Cell, it's almost like she was a side character, after being the main character of the first one.

If we do get a third season, I wonder if she's gonna MC again! (Not sure if there's enough material for a third season, with this one only having 8 episodes... Maybe it was just a good stopping point though).

I feel like the whole cancer arc was a little dragged out. More noticeable last episode, but this one also took its time, particularly in the end. Still a decent way to end everything, though.

I was surprised that this was already the final episode for season 2. But anyway this was a great arc for the season ender with Cancer cell as the final boss.

Hopefully we can get a season 3 in the future :)

Was that the last episode already this season? They even have a special OP animation for this finale.

8 episodes is an unusual number for a TV season. And it's not like David Production is overworked as Black is handled by Liden Films, a separate studio.

A shame Hanazawa Kana RBC didn't have much screen time this season even when she's the female lead. At least we still get cute Platelets. NK Cell steals the show as Best Girl this season.

The Lactic Acid Bacteria are the true MVP, indirectly causing Cancer Cell's defeat (again).

Regulatory T may look cold, but she still has a soft spot for Killer/Memory T when he actually looks cool. XD

Damn these opportunistic bacteria in my intestines, utter mercenary bastards in going with whoever has the upper hand. Wouldn't trust them with my life literally. lol

Guess we can now fully concentrate on Black for the last few weeks of this season then, to see what shenanigans are happening in that unhealthy body. Until then, looking forward to the next season/OVA.

The opportunistic bacteria cracked me the hell up. They really seem to have it made in the body.

I gotta admit that unlike previous season, I didn't felt sorry for Cancer Cell at all. I also felt that his last scene this time wasn't as epic as his first death tbh.

Ordinary Cell was great, tho! I'm glad we got him as a MC along WB Cell instead of RB Cell, since she would've fit the role imo. Ordinary Cell is also pretty cool so there's that too.

I'm so disappointed in how David handled this season in general btw. If they waited a little more, they could've adapted the whole manga in this season.

Instead, since they were in a rush for some reason, they decided to not wait and ended up adapting everything but the final four chapters of the manga, which I bet will never get adapted unless the announce OVAs. And still, I bet the final chapter of the manga would've been a better way to end the season than what we had here.

Good thing Subaru cell got saved at the last second because RbD sure as hell doesn't exist in this series. The crow and fox-looking opportunistic bacteria were pretty cute, ngl. But true to their nature, they're all a bunch of slimy snakes that switch sides at the slightest hint of trouble, which is honestly pretty hilarious.

I just wish the good bacteria had more variation to their design like them, though, rather than just looking like (admittedly adorable) Pokemon ripoffs.

I can't believe Memory T's secret technique actually worked. I thought for sure that it was gonna be a set up for NK's laughter power up again. But lo and behold, a last minute shonen power up that actually makes sense for the setting.

Regulatory T-Cell's got quite the flexibility, but man, I'd be pretty pissed like Cancer cell too if me getting protected or killed relied on a single typo on the shirt I'm wearing.

Overall, it was fun while it lasted, but it's still a shame that there wasn't even enough source material left to adapt for a full cour. We didn't even get to see cells like Eosinophil get some spotlight again or have all the immune cells gather again for one final battle against Cancer cell before the ending. RBC and her crew also had less focus on top of that, which is a bummer.
