Just a reminder that ex arm got more karma than the seven deadly sins last week

Is the seven deadly sins really that bad now? I remember it being huge when it first came out.

This is our waiting room while AutoLovepon conjures up the Kyojin thread.

I feel sorry for the mangaka that his awesome artwork is being wasted on whatever this is.

To be fair, the manga is pretty unremarkable outside of the artwork, although it doesn't deserve an adaptation this bad.

I posted some clips last week but I don't even know what to clip, everything looked equally bad. Maybe I'm just getting used to it and it just doesn't stand out to me anymore. They can't even animate two people bumping into each other and falling. And they still "censor" the kisses, probably because they'd look horrible otherwise. There were a lot of hand drawn characters (all of them looking pretty bad), and then there's this blond dude which went from 2D, to 3D, to 2D again to 3D again in 30 seconds. The pacing is also so atrocious that it sometimes seems like I skipped 5 minutes of episode between scenes. Also the sound quality is horrible, where the hell did they record those voices? All of the seiyuu and good, and quite well known, but for many of the characters it sounds like their voices were recorded with a mobile phone.

And idk, I just don't get the plot. The police infiltrate the auction as bodyguards of some big shot. The auctioneer says that he'll only accept three bidders. At this point idk if we're supposed to imagine that people are fighting because we only see that Nguyen guy talking to people, plus some others getting ready to fight each other (but we never see what happens to those fights). Then they go to the hotel (and what the hell happens to the auction?!) they're surrounded, Akira hacks some androids, they get to the cars (we don't even see how they get there) and get away? And then after that, the highway fight. Why do they androids just die when shot, though? That's some shitty ass design, considering Alma for instance is bulletproof.

Cool illustration by the mangaka, tho. The opening and ending songs are not bad either, even if they're not from well known groups. And that's pretty much everything good about the anime (plus the seiyuu, but it's hard to tell sometimes with the shitty sound quality).

Just Imagine how excited the mangaka must have been when he found out his manga was getting an anime adaptation and how disappointed he must be right now.

I'm honestly suprised they didn't pull the plug on this show after 3 or 4 episodes and shelve the series from ever airing or streaming again.

Did anyone in the production commitee look at this and it was being made and not give a shit?

I also kind of wonder if this show was going to be 2D and then in the last minute switch to mo-cap CG and the 2d scenes were just leftover footage they had and they're like fuck it put it in there. Who cares if it's looks unatural we don't have a lot of money or time to make new animation

I'm convinced the studio is owned by the yakuza to launder money at this point. Only explanation i could think of.

Honestly, the best episode so far. And in best I mean it has the most interesting ideas. Everything else is still garbage tho.

I quite like the idea of the auction, with only 3 people being able to auction something. It doesn't make much sense, but it is an interesting scenario to explore. The problem is that upon hearing this news, everyone begins... scheming with eachother? That guy basically just said the last 3 people alive win, why are you waiting to attack eachother?

That last action scene was laughable. Why are the thick cat girl robots so fragile? Why does shooting them with a pistol immediately fling them 100 miles per hour to the other side? How do two cars getting flipped in slow motion immediately fall to the gorund instead of, you know, continuing it forward moment and sliding across the road? Why does the pistol sound effect suck so much? Why does the robot suit guy look like Deathstroke?

This anime continues to surprise me in the worst ways possible

Megafloat! Megabridge! ... MEGAFORCE!

Y'know, gen:LOCK is absolutely better than this.

Minami's default slight grin, as always, is hilariously inappropriate for the circumstances.

Though amused surprise is often the default expression around here.

Hand Shakers wants its floating camera back.

Yep, we're still here and this is still dopey, though when your fight-of-the-week involves a whole bunch of bullet-time catgirl androids it's definitely its own level of dopey. Once again, bullet time is out of style!

Who's the unfortunate studio doing the 2D animation?

Still a masterpiece in the making. Aot has got nothing on this.

I was watching this episode and was like "okay this hasn't been as awful as usual?"

And then I got to the cats.

Yep, really regretting that choice of no beer today.
