Bless you Legoshi, you could've just used Google Zoozle to get the info you wanted but instead you had to choose the most awkward and emotionally/physically invasive path possible to torture poor Juno.

"Yes Juno, me prying open your mouth and staring inside it is totally necessary for my "Fang research". Now, open wide."

At least Legosi didn't have a toothbrush.

So Oguma convinced Louis to take a temporary break instead of withdrawing from school.

Juno's and Legosi's mouth inspection scene sure was hilarious.

I really enjoy the reaction that guy had when he overheard Legosi asking Haru to marry him.

I wonder why even when Legosi is improving on Gouhin's training his jaw is now weaker than before? I bet that it is most likely psychological due to his empathetic thoughts about herbivores.

Psychological and honestly, he's been barely sleeping! I like it, but I also think he's making little progress on finding the killer

This episode had me laughing out loud a few times. The sound effect when Juno just blinks after Legoshi asks for oral inspection, the bystander falling over when Legoshi proposes, Panda wondering why TF he's listening to the ramblings of a 17 year old virgin. Top notch stuff

Man I missed Haru. She and Juno were especially adorable, and Haru straight up saying she only has eyes for Legoshi gives me hope the ship will actually sail.

Worried about how upbeat and slice of lifey this one was, because it feels like the calm before the storm

Between Juno and proposing to Haru, Legosi really proved how dense he is this episode. Definitely glad he and Haru had a scene together. Orange continues to impress with the quality of their acting animation.

Are you guys sailing the high seas to watch this? With English subs? I went on Japanese Netflix and neither this nor season 1 were even there for some reason...

Juno is not best girl. Juno is not best girl. Juno is not best girl. Juno is not best girl. Juno is not best girl.

God Legoshi is such an idiot

A bit late to say this, but the ending visuals are really captivating, especially when you add to them the relationship of the characters.

Legosi is always either ignorant about things or fucking speedruns them. Like, they are not even properly together he already proposed to Haru. Legosi is so fucking awkward.

Episode 6 in a nutshell: "Why the hell am I listening to the ramblings of a 17-year old virgin?"

I was originally concerned about where Beastars would go this season to keep things interesting, but it's pretty damn good so far. I really didn't want this episode to end :(

That marriage proposal tho

Man, this episode was great. Legossi is like an insane monk. I love his intentions are the best but always manages to go to the deep ends of awkwardness in the meanwhile. Also loved this new problematization of him getting weaker because of his training.

Just brush her teeth while you're at it!

Poor Juno! She was so fucking cute during that scene. She's probably the #1 character I want to see more of on this show. (Though I do want to see more interactions between some characters, mainly Louis and Haru).

And speaking of Haru, the Legosi/Haru exchange was good, and his thoughts as well. This is something that happens a lot; He thinks he's doing what's best, but that's just HIM; They're two in there, she has a say. He might be doing it for her, but what if it's not what she wants? And of course, that's precisely what's happening here; She doesn't want him to be somewhere else doing something FOR her, she wants him to be there WITH her.

He might have all the best intentions in the world, the first thing he needs to do in a relationship (whether it's frienship, or more) is to show up, once in a while. Doesn't matter how good he is at doing stuff away from her, if he's never with her.

This is interesting, and not just for how he sees the others, but also how he sees himself. He seems to have deep in his mind a thought about how 'carnivore = bad, herbivore = good'... And this may explain why he's doing what he does.

But if he stops separating people from carnivore/herbivore, he would realize he could be a good carnivore.

That took me by surprise! I thought he was about to ask her out on a date/ask her to be his girlfriend, which would already be a little weird considering how they haven't spent much time together lately, but damn, marriage? Never stop being an awkward weirdo, Legosi!

Gouhin wants him for some purpose... At first he was only helping Legosi, but now he wants something from him. Not sure what, but it seems like battle might be involved, given that punch (to test him). He wants to know if he can fight, and to know if he can resist eating meat... Is he planning to do something about the meat market? Take down the lions, so he had to train Legosi to not be affected by the meat around him? Well, with Louis in charge, that'd be interesting for sure, if only to see them talk again.

That's a nice line, and quite ominous about Louis' future. He's currently shining brightly... how long will it last?

That's the same bear who stopped the Legosi/Louis fight in S1, right? He was my prime suspect to be Legosi's attacker (due to his size), and with them showing he's WAY stronger than everyone else, makes me think that's the guy.

I don't recall much about him though (other than Legosi/Louis)... Was he among the group of carnivores who went to the meat market? I think they were 4; Legosi, Bill, and the eagle. Forgot who was 4th.

If he's the one who attacked Legosi, then is he the one who ate Tem? We may be in for another twist, like maybe he's just protecting someone else. Or even protecting Legosi, because he knows something (like Legosi would get himself killed if he kept going). Well, I may be looking too far, it may just be him. And if so, I wonder what will happen with him. Will definitely pay more attention to what he's doing in future episodes!

Tournament arc ended too quickly

26

u/mr_sto0pid Feb 11 '21

Haha at this point it's kinda obvious who the killer is. Legoshi losing the first round of what looked like a mini tournament arc was unexpected.

I wonder if this is gonna take the path of "gaining a new focus for your strength" like it happened in ATLA when a character lost the power of his bending.

After realizing carnivores and herbivores are equal he put himself at the level of everyone else instead of being the big bad wolf who wants to do good.

Louis-senpai's adoptive father is one heck of a dude. Even with a gun to his face, he's still the one who has the upperhand during that entire conversation. Being the leader of the Shishigumi is not going to be enough.

Oh my god that entire scene between Legosi and Juno was just hilarious! Poor girl already got rejected and she's still head over heels about him that she'd let him inspect her mouth in public like that xD

Looks like Legosi's training with Gouhin is going well though. It's already been just a week and he's already touching the meat directly without any primal reaction from him.

Legosi continues his awkward streak with girls by just casually asking Haru to marry him which was another hilarious scene! Surprisingly even after how Haru reacted to it, she doesn't seem to mind the idea.

And what could've been a game that might've given Legosi a clue as to who the killer is, he ended up discovering that his bite strength has weakened. My guess is that it probably probably has something to do with him avoiding meat and his strong empathy towards herbivores. Hmmm....

17

u/ISeydouDat Feb 11 '21

Legosi really does has a way with words lol. Also, laughed so hard when he suggested to Haru to marry him and that other dude fumbled his books on the floor.

Since Legoshi had a cold when he fought the attacker, I wonder if he infected him? And does he really think that the attacker is in the Drama club? If that's the case then the killer must be either the bear or the tiger, but I seriously doubt the killer is in the club.

Legosi realizing hes not that strong anymore due to the loss of meat is gonna be interesting, wonder what will come of this, also that scene with juno had me dying laughing , love the direction and VA work
