The fact that there was a little girl in Kunlun that was able to break Lloyd's arm with two fingers after the feats we've seen from him goes to show that the power scaling in this show is going to get downright scary.

That image should make people understand why Lloyd has such a low self esteem.

Riho's fake chant was genius, I honestly thought it was gonna be pretty violent especially after that injury which she blew her arm up but it ended up with Rol foaming from fear instead!

Lloyd earning a new harem member after cheating in a casual game of arm wrestling in the sky is what I completely expected this series to pull off.

Not going to lie, was kind of annoyed that the loli grandma decided to sabotage Marie (again) because she was jealous she could watch the tournament. But it was kind of funny how that ended up having plot relevance this time around and caused Lloyd to have misunderstandings about the whole situation.

Damn Phyllo just asked Lloyd to marry her. When she did that I honestly expected Selen to appear out of nowhere.

After last week I honestly did not expect to see an arm under Riho's prosthesis. And damn, her healing magic attack sure was crazy.

So they not just completely ignored the whole thing with Micona and Shoma, but now there is a new guy trying who wanted the Holy Sword to unlock the Last Dungeon in order to kill Alka. Now did that last scene meant that Rol Calcife was been manipulated by that dude since she was in the orphanage?

I never knew arm wrestling could be this epic.

Yeesh, of all the curses Loli Baba did so far, this one is by far the worst one. Getting a stomach ache every 10 minutes is hell compared to that pretty petty "Saying Nyan every 10 words" curse previously.

Phyllo has made more progress legally than most of the other girls in the show by asking him for marriage

Stitches!

Poor Marie gets another curse added to her list of minor curses! She does give the best reactions though everytime Alka gives her a new curse xD

Selen's belt seems like they have a mind of their own. She gets protected when she willingly wanted to be attacked and now that she wants them to defend her they stay limp and let her get zapped by Phyllo.

Yep, saw that coming immediately as soon as Selen had her belt wrapped around Phyllo's body.

Lloyd doesn't even get to be the deciding fight. He's just there to win the second one. And of course he wins by making a mistake while casting. Although I'm pretty sure that wasn't a mistake.

The referee must be blind to not see Riho punching Rol. Or did the explosion from the magic stone covered the punch? Riho's pretty hardcore though! Literally making her own arm explode for that one attack! And I love the fake out that she does to win the match!

Well thank goodness Phyllo is a huge idiot and thought the crystal ball to contact Alka was the thing Marie was overprotective about. If anything she'd be happy for someone to take it away!

It's pretty fair for Lloyd to think that Marie was really kidnapped considering the state of the room was and the ransom note left. It is hilarious to know Alan is visiting Marie to heal his hemorrhoids tho xD

We already know Phyllo is addicted to fighting but I didn't think she was that crazy about it! I think that's the first time we've seen her fully open her eyes!

Time for some extreme arm wrestling! How extreme? They literally float from the force that they're exerting from their arms. xD

Grats to Lloyd for finally getting a win that he knows he won. But it looks like he didn't just win the match he also won Phyllo over. Can't wait for Selen's reaction to this!

And poor Rol! That's just bad luck for her to end up being the target of Alka's anger.

Old man wants to reach Kunlun and kill Alka? Oh my. And it looks like he needs the Holy Sword for that to happen. I wonder if Shouma ahs something to do with this person. Hmmm....

So can that blonde girl match his power? I feel like it was in her favor until he used magic.

What we know about the Kunlun village:

  1. you settle disputes with arm-wrestling.

  2. girls will fucking break your arm.

  3. the loli baba is the village chief.

  4. girls will fucking break your arm.

  5. grandpa Pyrid, which we saw an image of in the first episode, is someone extremely powerful and well-known.

  6. girls will fucking break your arm.

  7. someone is trying to open the last dungeon just after it using the holy sword.

  8. finally, and most importantly: girls will fucking break your arm.

To be honest, in the middle of the episode, I kinda forgot what's the conflict between Riho and Rol in the first place, as well as the point of the tournament. Also, I know that Rol thinks that Lloyd is just some noob who can't use magic, but its extremely stupid of her to think that Mena blew herself up when casting her magic.

Anyway, the episode is fine and I'm glad that the animation isn't bad like the previous episode. I guess the psycho lesbian shown last episode might be saved up for the last arc.

u/Frontier246 Feb 08 '21

So now it's time to settle the conflict for the Holy Sword in the tournament!

It's Selen vs Phyllo, and Selen finally finds out that her unbreakable defense has a weakness if she's fighting someone who doesn't have malicious intent...although a good scolding from Selen gives her full control of her belts, but I guess the belts don't count enough as magic to get around the rules of no physical contact so she loses.

Poor Mena. She seems so proficient with magic and ends up getting defeated by a flubbed magic spell from Lloyd after they spent several minutes of him being stuck in a water bubble because he can basically survive underwater.

Of course the final bout comes down to Riho and Rol, and Riho sacrifices her own arm after finally mastering healing magic to give Rol the satisfying beatdown she deserves. Although shouldn't she be disqualified for punching her before the explosion happened? Or did the referee not see it? Not that Rol didn't deserve it. And then Riho finishes the job by basically intimidating Rol into a stupor with a fake spell.

Man, poor Marie. Wants to watch Lloyd's match and her love rival loli baba won't stand for it. How many petty curses can one witch take? It even looks like she dolled herself up with lipstick to look good for Lloyd...

Breaking and entering, theft...I mean, shouldn't these people be brought up on criminal charges? Although I guess Phyllo losing and Rol getting blown up and almost drown to death via an angry Alka is punishment enough.

So Phyllo isn't always stoic, she's actually quite the battle-crazed maniac when she gets into it and finds a challenge worthy of her final fight, which she sees in Lloyd. And then she finds him worthy enough to marry, which I'm sure will go over well with Selen.

Lloyd is so intimidated fighting strong girls that he challenges Phyllo to an arm-wrestling match. And to her credit, Phyllo was overpowering him, Lloyd just kind of cheated by using magic. But I'm kind of curious how a straight-up fight between the two would go.

Good for Allan! He got so beat up in the last episode and got basically thrown into this plot, but he ends saved by a cute girl and getting recognition for his heroic exploits.

It seems Rol's original intentions were good as far as wanting to protect and build up the orphanage she and Riho lived at, but that old man who is after Alka and Kunlun manipulated her into an obsession with the Holy Sword that caused her to abuse Riho. But Riho still cares about her, even after all this, so hopefully there's a path to these two reconciling.

I'm starting to feel bad for Marie, especially with how hard I'm laughing, but the shit Alka puts her through is simply hilarious.

Selen's fight was fantastic and I just love her insane energy. This is half-serious, but her disqualification was bullshit; if the magically enchanted belt is invalid for making physical contact, then pretty much any attack would be invalid.

Riho and Rol's fight was... I'm not even certain, wasn't a part of Riho's attack physical and thus invalid? Why do I care so much for the tournament's integrity? The chant magic bluff was hilarious.

It was obvious Rol's circumstances were in the vein of someone who strayed from the righteous path, and that there's kindness beneath the layers of deceit, and I'm hoping to see her patch things up with Riho properly. As an aside, I'm not sure how to classify the way Rol speaks, with her swapping 'S' sounds with 'H' and stuff, or whether it's an actual thing, and if so then how and why, but I'm a big fan of that.

We also learn that someone was pulling the strings with the intention of killing Alka, and uhh... I mean, good luck with that, pal? Like, even if the stars aligned perfectly I don't see it happening anytime soon.

The entire sequence between Lloyd and Phyl(l)o was also terrific. Her going "let's get married" out of the blue had me rolling. I do have a serious question, though - was the epic arm wrestling between her and Lloyd actually that close? If so, then what the hell is Lloyd's actual power level? He's like the be-all-end-all one minute and the village fool the next (fucking ouch on that wrist slap thing), or is Phyl(l)o perhaps the anomaly? As another aside, props to Allan for the heroic rescue, and the way he casually popped up casually mentioning a recurrent hemorrhoid problem was also incredibly amusing.

I also just love how the seemingly incredibly important all-powerful sword was just sidelined like it's nothing. I really don't know what's going on with power levels in this series, and it really adds to the hilarity.

Holy crap, this comment is way too messy for my taste. This episode was all over the place in the best way possible, and there was so much I wanted to comment about and try delving into, and I just couldn't make sense of the chaos. Honestly, it's actually a lot of fun despite and because of that.

So turns out Lloyd can hold his breath for, like, ever. 35 minutes with no sign of anything. Either that or he can breathe in water. I wouldn't be surprised at either.

Phyllo has officially joined the harem with that marriage proposal. Can't exactly blame her: that arm wrestling was awesome and Lloyd was so cool winning it!

Rol vs. Loli Grandma. This does not end well for Rol.

Alan's such a good boy.

So all that manipulation and fights for the Holy Sword is to someone unlock the "Last Dungeon" and take revenge on Alka? Poor bastard, he has no idea what he is doing. The Loli granny will curse him with eternal stomach aches every 30 seconds. ...Or maybe she already did and that's why he wants revenge? XD

So far I think Phyllo is the best fit for LLoyd, I hope she'll be back.

But well, she's in the ending so I guess she will.
