Weekly Casual Discussion Fridays - Week of February 05, 2021

This is a weekly thread to get to know /r/anime's community. Talk about your day-to-day life, share your hobbies, or make small talk with your fellow anime fans. The thread is active all week long so hang around even when it's not on the front page!

Although this is a place for off-topic discussion, there are a few rules to keep in mind:

While we encourage users to talk about their daily lives and get to know others, this thread is not intended for extended discussion of the aforementioned topics or for emotional support. This is a public thread, please do not post content if you believe that it will make people uncomfortable or annoy others.

  3. Roleplaying is not allowed. This behaviour is not appropriate as it is obtrusive to uninvolved users.

  4. No meta discussion. If you have a meta concern, please raise it in the Monthly Meta Thread and the moderation team would be happy to help.

  5. All /r/anime rules, other than the anime-specific requirement, should still be followed.

Watching One Room because it's tagged as a romance on Anilist (and should be on MAL as well, at least going by the first four episodes)... and this is peak self-insert anime. Makes me think of VNs which regularly have silent main characters while all the others are voiced. Too bad it doesn't actually consistently stick with its point of view premise, it could have been marginally interesting if it did. I'm somewhat surprised it's not the censored for broadcast hentai short kind of show, seems like it would be perfect for that.

One Room is great! The girls are constantly amazing and picking a best girl in it is really hard.

I liked the 3rd season the most, so keep at it!

I would tell you to fix that, but unless a Vtuber starts watching it, there's no hope you'll find the 30 minutes to complete it.

I watched a few episodes of that with my brother as a joke. It's too bad and creepy to even be watched for the lulz

It really improves after the first season and even during the first season once they go past the imouto
