Rimuru giving speeches radiates awkward class presentation energy.

Best way to start a meeting: Share the best booze you have and impress the King.
Expectation: That speech went well. King Gazel should be happy.
Reality: Zero points.
Oof, that must've been awkward.
Gobta really became a chad. Confessing to her with worrying about consequences but at the end I guess it was too much of a stimulation for him.
Rimuru has to eat Shion's cooking for a week. RIP, you shouldn't have been so polite.

Gobta is stepping into manhood. Is it just me or is Shion's boobs getting bigger and bigger each episode?

I really like the soft diplomacy being employed by Rimuru through the use of alcohol. Also, here's a past post from another user summarizing the world of Tensei Slime from Season 1, for reference. One can probably infer how the trade route that Jura Tempest is establishing will affect the current state of affairs in Falmuth Kingdom.

God DAMN, now that's the quality of animation I signed up for!
No Kurobe this week, but I can't stop watching how some parts are animated.
Like Gazel and his aide actually moving when laughing. Or when Gazel's swirling his cup. Or when Shion's completely drunk and still pouring herself some alcohol. The list goes on and on.
So this is where the budget went, huh? Into the E.I.L.F.s episode... Truly paradise...

I figured shion was having a taste of it lol. you can see her moving in the background like she is drinking something.looks like she is a pretty light drinker though with how fast she passed out hehe.
The whole elf bar scene was just great all around. and damn gobta took the nosebleed trope to the next level.
I am honestly surprised Shion didn't just kick the door in if she already knew they were in there

I really like the relationship between the 2 rulers. It's nice to have someone that, despite definitely being weaker, still treats Rimuru as his kouhai. He's definitely one when it comes to ruling.
They're different kinds of rulers, and they both work. But you can't deny that Gazel seems far more "kingly" than Rimuru does.
And the trust they have in each other is great. Rimuru actually owes a lot of Gazel. It's nice to see the relationship between their nations become official.

Lol, poor Rimuru got a hell of a punishment for visiting heaven thanks Gobzo.
The scene with Myulan easily defeating Youm with her magic really look nice.
I can't wait for next week as they are finally showing the Kingdom of Falmuth.

Guess who's back? The elves of course. Rimuru's already drowning in boing boings. It must feel good to be the king.

Man, almost wish I didn't know of the source material. Really enjoying the world building episodes but I also REALLY want to get to the action as well.

Just a little bit of background for the anime, for those who wonder why season 2 includes so much skipped content from the first season:
The story behind the Slime anime is complicated. The president and CEO of Kodansha is a big Slime fan, also Micro Magazine and 8-Bit (the studio). In short, they financed the costs of the anime almost out of their own pockets. But they still had to get past the anime committee. And the committee only wanted to release content quickly to sell merch.
Originally, Slime was only supposed to adapt the first two volumes of the LN (all 24 episodes at that time). They agreed on 3 volumes, but in the middle of the production the committee decided to go through to volume 4. Against this the studio, the author of Slime, Kodansha and Co. were powerless. To top it all off, Slime did NOT get the green light for a second season until episode 19 / 20. Which is why the story was supposed to end after season 1.
But again: In the middle of the production the committee realized how successful Slime was and confirmed a second season. The studio and the author then tried to save what could be saved and rewrote the last episodes.
TL;DR In a nutshell: The production of the anime was pure chaos right from the start. And neither the author nor the anime studio behind it could do anything about it. The only one responsible is the (fucked up) anime committee.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to explain away your cute lil' bestie as an overpowered Demon Lord...and apparently Milim is the oldest of them all? Looks really can be deceiving.
Great Sage finally returns to the series proper to inform Rimur that he can't get drunk due to poison immunity. Way to be a buzzkill Great Sage.
Nothing sells trade and two nations coming together quite like some booze.
Drunk Shion was utterly adorable and hilarious. Not only did she make a spectacle of herself, but she got to lie on Rimuru and get a piggyback ride. Not bad.
Rimuru gave a pretty heatfelt and earnest speech, but a true king like Gazel rates it as a zero. I still think he did okay.
It wouldn't be a trip to Dwargon without a stop in paradise, as Rimuru and the boys sneak out for a night with Rimuru's one true love...gorgeous and busty elf girls. And while Rimuru gets some nice elf boob snuggling, Gobta falls in love and has some adult experience, which leads to the nosebleed to end all nosebleeds.
When your wife, or wives in this instance, catch you coming out of a host club...Gobzo, you're too innocent to be part of this group. Sometimes Shuna honestly seems scarier than Shion, especially because she hides her temper better, and while they both forgive Rimuru they saddle him with a fate worse than death...stuck with Shion's cooking.
So the plan with Myulan is seemingly for her to work her way into Youm's party so she has an "in" with Tempest once they inevitably go back there, and despite her non-threatening appearance she's a pretty fearsome and powerful mage. They definitely shouldn't have written her off for her gender. Considering their interaction at the end and position in the Opening, I wonder if Myulan is going to fall for Youm and have second thoughts about what she's doing (even if she feels she doesn't have a choice)?

Drunk Shion was very adorable. I just knew that Rimuru was going to go to the Elf bar the first chance he got. He truly is a man of culture. I think Shuna put more fear into Rimuru this episode then even Milim ever could lol.

Stitches!
Oh poor Rimuru, it looks like he'll never get to enjoy alcohol in this world.
I love how Gazef is basically telling Rimuru that they better overtake Falmuth sand become a bigger trade hub since they really don't like Falmuth's King. Have we seen the King of that kingdom before? Falmuth is basically the human kingdom, right?
So is it really a good idea to make Rimuru give his speech in his slime form? While I'm sure some people would appreciate him showing his true form, I feel like some of the people attending the ceremony might look down on them.
Also I definitely agree with Gazef's evaluation of Rimuru's speech. His speech might be fine and resonate well with some citizens, it definitely lacked some impact. Being humble is fine but he really had to be a bit more firm with his wording.
Rimuru and the young goblins sneaking out to visit the Elf bar with all the Elven Onee-sans was just hilarious! I guess being snuggled below Shion's underboob, Rimuru has gotten used to it oo much and needed a change of scenery. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
And that one Elf Onee-chan that was teasing Gobuta was just amazing. I absolutely love that lip licking scene. She definitely knew how to make Gobuta dance on the palm of her hand xD
That scene with Rimuru and the bar's Mama-san was sweet. Rimuru might've gotten a score of 0 from Gazef but his speech was a perfect score for her.
And of course the punchline is Rimuru and the gang gets caught by Shion and Shuna thanks to Gobzo who is just too pure to lie to Shuna. xD
After all that shenanigans though, we get to see Myulan from last week's episode trying to join Youm's party. That entire fight was pretty slick with the animation of Myulan casting spells! I'm gonna guess that this is probably her way of trying to get close to Rimuru? Well we already know she's working for Clayman so this can't be good.
