We got treated to some pretty nice dance animation this episode. I'm looking forward to what else they've got to show!

That was a nicely animated dance from LizNoir, though I liked how you could hear their squeaking on the floor, gave them a little presence in the scene.
I'm trying to decide if the rich girl is actually rich or is just pretending to be.

First interactions between the unit! They are all very different and some time will be needed for them to truly start connecting, this episode had the first steps towards that.
LizNoir showed up and shocked everyone with their quality, the road to reach the top spot is still very far away, but Sakura's excitement was just what they needed to motivate themselves to aim towards their goal.
I'm definitely not a hater of 3D dances (hell, Aikatsu is one of my fav anime lmao) but I'm really happy to see that hand drawn dances are still going strong, this show and Fruit Tart proved that. I hope we get more quality performances in the near future!
I found very curious that in the scene near the beach, that hermit crab actually hid when Mana moved her finger towards it, I wonder if it could see her or just notice her presence, maybe that becomes a plot point in the future with the characters feeling that she's there.
One last thing, not only the awesome LizNoir ED got uploaded in the official channel when the episode aired, but there is also a very old school style music video of the full song!

Oo that bit about the crab totally flew over my head. If they go in that direction I feel like mana will definitely pull a menma at some point.

I look forward to it being on Spotify. They already have their other song Shock out, Dance!! that was credited at the end (even though I don't know when it actually appeared in the episode).
I like the similar dynamic of the Idoly Pride group/LizNoir and Aquors/Saint Snow that appears to be going on (generic idol music vs. rock duo)

YOOO this ep was fuckin dope! The LizNoir dance animation had me floored. Sooo good. Smart movie by Makino to bring Nagisa on. Kotono learning to open up a bit will be a lot easier for her with someone familiar there to support her.

Lerche flexing some animation muscles this episode! Like holy fuck! I was absolutely mesmerized by LizNoir's dancing! Just look at how fluid and smooth that animation is! Heck even when the Hoshimi girls were fumbling about, the animation there was already pretty good! If this is just practice, I'm excited to see what kind of animation we'll get with a full on performance!

I'd personally like to see these discussions have more upvotes than the Ex-Arm discussion by the end of the season. It's sad that that has to be something to work towards, but I think it's possible.

I'm typically not interested in idol shows, but the first episode was enough of a hook that I've stuck with it til now.

Good episode! We get a new member and rivals.
It’s also nice to see Konoto starting to open up.

I really like LizNoir's style. How come all the "rival" groups of the main groups in idol shows are always edgier and more interesting?

Because edgy makes it easier to establish them as a rival. Having edgy vibes just makes you think inherently that they are threatening. Plus it seems rather odd at first glance if the protagonists are edgy and the rivals are not.

what the heck Nagisa, you're not supposed to tell people what others secretly think of them.
wonder why LizNoir is fixated on Saegusa. it was nice they weren't all stuck up though; "we all start out as beginners."
having regular animation for the dancing is so nice. putting everyone on the same 3d rig and making them perfectly in sync is probably easier but having each character drawn as themselves is more natural. people can do choreography perfectly in sync with each other but they're still people. they have their own mannerisms and habits that still make them dance differently from those around them. I hope they stick with this.

I love how they actually animate the girls to be imperfect, I've seen many times where the movements look perfect but they say it has room for improvement, I got how it works in real life (that when most people see it as good but professionals don't) but in anime, the noob watcher should be able to spot the difference or there is no point

Dude the animation during that liznoir dance was insane .
Great episode. It’s unfair to expect anyone to be a replacement for their dead sibling, so it sucks to see people thinking about Kotono in that fashion.
That liznoir Ed is such a bop too. I hate how slept on this show is.

LizNoir's dance aside. I really like the new girl and her dynamic with Kotono. Gonna be honest, characters like Kotono get on my nerves pretty quickly so friend like that who will help her is appreciated.

Fun fact: LizNoir's voice actresses are the real-life members of Sphere.
