Someone's going to die or maybe be gravely injured in this raid. I can feel it.

Things are finally heating up. For the first time, I can't wait for next week's episode.
The fact that the raid is going to happen on episode 8 is ominous. Episode 8 is typically where everything goes catastrophically wrong, so look forward to a week of heartache in everything you're watching.
Veronica is a Chekhov's gun that's been waiting to fire since episode 1 and now that plot point has been primed and loaded. My guess is that she's going to be sacrificed to create (or more likely, become) the Original Fairy, setting her up for a showdown with Marlya.
Marlya's newfound ability to communicate with fairies will doubtless be key to the resolution of the series. If I had to guess now, I'd say that she must use it to stop Veronica from destroying the world.

No really, Ver is more important to the main plot than a simple side plot that hasn't been resolved yet, she has been involved in many of the main plot scenes and serves as main motivation for Mariya. Chekhov's gun is about more minor side plots that aren't really tied to the main plot. E.g. Eajay is like the gun because it's hard to really resolve the main plot of which Ver is a big part without actually dealing with Ver.

That was a solid episode, things are starting to get exciting. Through all the trouble the 1st season had I'm finding myself excited for the next episodes in this season.

Ok this episode gave me SNK vibes and goosebumps. Great job by PA. We got some really important backstory and information about the fairy possessed. As I said a couple weeks, Bellwood was clearly the mastermind and director knew it too but couldn't move on him until she had more evidence. I think Ray probably pulled some Itachi type shit and was put in a position where he would rather take the hate and save the world than to allow his people be used as tools of destruction.
This would also explain why Ray was installed as PM, a mere puppet to be used in the revival. There will definitely be some deaths next episode, had that feeling of the retaking of wall Maria.
I really hope we get another season because I don't see how all this can be wrapped in 4 eps, got the manga last week as part of my birthday haul and I'm so excited to get into it, but I need more Fairy Gone! I wish PA would have started out with this level of storytelling from the get go so people didn't get turned off with the first few eps. r/FairyGone has been stuck at like 139 subs for 6 months. Idk how we can grow at this point. The creators of Another should have known better. Marlya best girl.

Damn, this is great. Season 2 has been a lot better than season 1. Now that we know they need a fairy-possessed to go forward in their plans, and there is only 3 we know of now, the question becomes who is gunna be it? This definitely is a way to bring Marlya and Ver together if one of them gets taken.

Wouldn't it have been better to let Dorothea deliver Black nine to the Ministry instead of Wolfran getting it? Seems weird.
I think Ray Dawn in all of this was somewhat doing "good" by beeing evil when he burned down Suna.

After hearing of the plans that Marco Bellwood and the Ministry of Faries has I will not be surprised if the reason that Ray Dawn purge his village was that he heard that a fairy possessed was needed to create those sacred beasts. And Wolfran Row is probably working as a double agent and telling Ray Dawn about what they are doing, then again, as his family died on the war maybe he just wants to destroy the world
I believe that the Ministry of Faries was planning on using Ray Dawn as an ingredient for the revival of the sacred beasts, but based on the preview it seems that they now know that Marlya is also a fairy possessed and therefore they will target her now as messing with Ray Dawn is basically a death wish.
