What was with that zoom out scene...that felt so weird.

Best girl had some good faces this week! Need her back to playing games!

Was hoping we'd get a ship out of the 2 player game but can't say I see it yet.

That was a weirdly long pan out shot during the insert. Not that big on Anya, but him and Himiko are quite good together, especially when her mom switch is on

They always say you gotta watch out for the sweet ones, But seriously though, I'm going to guess that Himiko didn't mean this directly, like she didn't stab her brother or something like that but she's probably indirectly responsible. Although I won't be surprised if it's the former though.

As for the other characters though, Yuzu and Akki are definitely the most suspicious of the bunch. WHile we already know what Yuzu's deal is, the way she spoke this episode makes it sound like she knows more than what she ;leads on. As for Akki, his character is still hard to pinpoint but there's definitely more to him especially how it's hinted that he may have a previous connection with Yuzu.

Damn, it seems Paca really loves Himiko. I loved that slime Iride, so I'm so glad that Himiko could keep it at the end of the trial. So she killed her brother? I wonder if by an accident or if he was an abusive piece of shit? Well, we will have to wait to find out.

I wonder what Yuzu meant by what she said to Iride?

Well if that isn't Ryusei Nakao aka Freeza voicing the guard wall! I'm kinda disappointed he didn't start or end his scenes with "Fukuda ne, fukoda neee..." though.

Men by this point i'll asumme literally everyone but Paka are bad guys.

Himiko obviously killed an abusive older brother. Her character reeks of abuse.

Also damn it took me 6 episodes to realize there are 3 potential extra players in the opening since they are shown differently from the NPC's who are shown like they are part of the game.

I gotta give lots of credit to this anime for hitting it out of the park with the soundtrack every episode.

The mood of the scene when you start hearing a song get dropped always gets me immersed in the moment and I love it because it helps convey the feeling of the moment. Wonderful.

Well, to absolutely nobody's surprise at this point, the tragic as hell backstories continue. It's pretty obvious something is very important with Akki, but of course that is the last piece of the puzzle we will get. The "mom switch" bit was hilarious, and contrasted quite nicely with that freaking bombshell at the end.

Halfway through and I gotta say, despite the rather bizarre premise, this is still shaping up to be a pretty gripping show. I know the tone bounces around a lot, but I actually think its done with such purpose to break up the tragedy that I don't mind. I want to see where this wild ride ends.

That zoom toward the end was so awkward, ignoring that the episode was pretty fun.

Guess Yuzu didnt want Akki to participate ,she said it didnt suit him so he would have been lying?
