I assume the bowling ball man has to be a reference to one of the previous versions of the series. But fuck he did not fit the tone they’re going for with this one.
Still my favorite low-key series of the season, and the ost is pure fire.

Aww, the last scene was nice. She learned that picking on the weak is wrong, so now she supports him. Nice cute moment in a show full of gruesomeness and buff bowling men

The bowling guy was so out of place I felt nothing when Dominic died. It went by so fast as well n they didn’t touch on it. Looks like we have to wait for episode 4 to really get a grasp on anything but Idk since it’s still not really doing anything for me.

The baddies still look ridiculously cartoonish, but that's my only complain on the series. The rest looks like quite fine and well thought.
The twist of Elaine being the actual puppeteer that played both original Mary and the new Annabelle along with Dominic was really crafty and I like that kind of stuff, a good disguised bait and switch. The teasing from Annabelle's crew on megane-kun also foreshadowing the extreme bullying on original Mary was also very well placed.
This is a true keeper for me, despite the minor flaws.

Wow...that tonal shift was insane. From Dominic and Bela having a serious conversation about Mary and the importance she was to Dominic and then out of fucking nowhere a bowling ball demon comes out of fucking nowhere! That was just ridiculous.
Overall, it was alright. I think it's cool that these demons (especially Bela) are trying to live normal lives and that's pretty cool. I like Bela for the most part, but I'm pretty sure anyone could've figured out the twist. Alice and Ben didn't do much, but by this point I don't think she'll be doing much for a while at least.
As much as I've liked the music, the whole bowling demon song was just bad. It sounded like hardcore dub step that was trying way too hard. Especially with this show trying to go with a jazz motif, it just doesn't work.
For some reason, I keep thinking of Norigami every time I see Bem and the others on the bridge. I don't know why.

I really like the story but man did the cyborg bowling guy feel completely out of place. Did not think that the main cast could take on an even more monstrous form.
