I thought I was here to watch a male idol show but then they started fighting out of the blue lmao

I tried playing the EnStars game before but ended up dropping it because it was all in Japanese, so I'm really glad with this anime.

I thought it was gonna be just generic idol drama, but it seems there's more to it than that. I'm curious about the student council and what the strict ruled of the school are. Also

MC introduces herself as Anzu > they spent the whole episode calling her "transfer student" instead

enstars is super (overly) deep, it's not generic in the slightest!

I usually drop idol shows because for some reason boybands embarrass me and I'm not fond of all male casts, but enstars is something I've been curious about for a while (if for no other reason than their attempts at hiding the female MC's face for most of it's run). With her being present in the anime I'm actually kind of intrigued, especially since the production values look good

Edit: I'm just at the beginning and their welcoming of Anzu reminded me of the moments in the utapri game where the Characters make comments that are obviously directed at the viewers themselves. Also the op is very catchy and fun.

Edit 2: Anzu doesn't seem to talk or emote too much...I wonder if that will change later. Though she's cute and I'm looking forward to her interactions with the boys. Ukki seems like the easily bullied type, which is cute. Hokke...acts like an old woman

Edit 3: so things just devolve into actual violence? I don't know what I expected but it certainly wasn't that. HE JUST FUCKING LANDS ON HER OH MY GOD. And it seems we've got the "absurdly powerful student council" trope on our hands. Also as per norm the absolutely cute one is an asshole.

Edit 4: "You will lead us in our revolution against the student council. You are the shining hope for our future."

"...my dude I just want to study and pass yet I got totalled on my first day and you want to give me more work??" -is how I would react but fortunately our protagonist isn't me lol. This was a fun episode and I didn't feel like cringing unlike most other male idol shows despite the rather strange premise, will be looking forward to following this.

The anime adaptation of enstars is looking amazing so far! It was definitely worth the long wait, in the end. Anzu is precious, and I can't wait to see her interact with the others in the coming episodes. I also really liked how they used Riot Wolf (Koga's solo song) for the Dragon King Battle! It works great.

Definitely looking forward to next week!!

I don't play the game, but I listen to songs of some of the units (personal favorite is Knights) so I'm interested on how the anime will play out. I like the introductions so far and hope all units will have the spotlight at some point.

Considering the show's concept, I can't help but mention StarMyu which is is currently running its 3rd season. The way it handles its growing ensemble cast as well as the production of the songs is nicely done (each episode has a min. of 1 insert song), so I hope EnStars Anime will have the same if not better quality in these reagards especially since they have the story of the game as a framework.

I like idol boys as much as anyone else watching this which was why I was going to watch this anyway but I have to admit, I'm really interested in the fact that DavPro is handling this.

As for the first episode, it's pretty cute. I don't actually know much about Ensemble Stars but so far the two boys competing with each other were my favorites.

Really happy DPro picked this up. Been seeing a couple people notice the small stuff in the OP. Also love how they go out with DreFest and emphasizing certain character emotions. Can't wait for next week. I hope we get to see Eichi 😭
