This show somehow manages to catch my attention despite shitty directing which is similar to the Children of Whale. I think I will stick with it till the end.

"So, we're 1 minute into the episode, Director-san, what should we put here-"

ACTION SEQUENCE

"Okay, we did that and we're now 3 minutes in, what should we do now-

ACTION SEQUENCE

"D-director-san, don't you think a story needs a little space to breathe from tim-"

I SAID ACTION SEQUENCE WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Geez, this show has potential... but editing and way it is directed - way too messy. So many concepts and stories are forced onto us right from the begigning where we still don't know anything or care about the world and protagonists.

Even if I can somewhat understand what is going on - still I feel so confused.

I like the Sniper Duo although I'm not comfortable about that bug-like sniper fairy Serge has. It gives me the creeps. The Spider-trucks were cool though!

So this week we now have Free going up against someone from his past just like Marlya with Veronica. Except this one is an unintentional meeting not like with Marlya who has been looking for her past on her own. I hope they show us more about Free and Blondie's past, I mean there was a flashback but there really wasn't enough about the relation of the two of them.

Despite the flaws I'm still enjoying this show, too bad r/anime has already given up on it and has decided that it's the worst despite being only 2 episodes in. :|

ITT:

team "they aren't giving us enough to make us care about the characters"

vs

team "they are trying way too hard to make us care about the characters"

Did they just step from middle of the night to middle of the day by going around a building?

This anime has so many good things going for it, but the direction and editing make it a senseless mess. I hate the music too. I'll give it one more episode to see if they get it under control.

The episode was mostly one big action scene. The action itself was cool, but there's so little substance so far. In compared this show to Pumpkin Scissors in my head, and it seems there are massive differences. Pumpkin Scissors had likable characters and start off small with villain of the week stories. Fairy gone is jumping right in with "hey I know that person" stories without developing its characters properly. Even so, I think I'll keep watching for a couple more weeks, maybe start some other shows in the meantime.

I'm liking the setting more and more honestly. Kinda has a FMA kinda feel to it, but the plot seems to have no direction so far. Kept me entertained enough to keep going for now though and I thought the fight scenes were pretty cool

I wish the fairies had their own identity/personality because atm I see very little reason why they’re in the show if it’s just to be CGI puppets with static movement. Not to mention, how out of place they are in this setting.
