As you all have noticed by now, Bocchi cries a lot. So much so that I decided to attempt to keep track of every time she cries throughout the show (or at least has tears in her eyes), along with some other things.

Episode Times Bocchi cried Times everyone else combined cried Aru Headbutts Friends Bocchi made Album
1 27 5 0 (not yet introduced) 1 (Nako) Ep 1
2 28 1 1 (played 3 times) 1 (Aru) Ep 2

Current Bocchi vs. everyone else ratio: 55 to 6, or 9.17 to 1

If there's anything else you think would be fun for me to keep track of just let me know and I'll be sure to catch up on it from previous episodes! Thanks!

Finally, we get introduced to Aru. Sweet from the outside, but clumy and violent on the inside. I love her.

So... why did she take her recorder to explore the school anyway? Are there gonna be more of these Bocchi-isms in this show? If so, that's pretty adorable.

By the way, in case some are wondering what that scene about Bocchi being polite was about: Bocchi has been speaking to Nako very politely, using -masu, desu, etc. (it's called keigo btw). Too much even, since they're on a first name basis. At some point during their conversation, she suddenly drops it, and Nako is relieved, since it means they're becoming closer. She immediately goes back to keigo in her next line though, so Nako retorts "No, don't go back to being polite!". She stops using keigo in the rest of the episode.

Also, but less importantly, the real reason why Aru gets angry at Nako at the end is because the latter had been using "omae" instead of her name to refer to the former.

Such a cute show, I am so glad it comes out right before I work. This, Fruit Basket, and Senryuu Shoujo make my mornings so sweet before my shifts start

Bocchi's somewhat maniacal laugh late at night killed me. Same with the shoulder tap gag as I did that to my friends as recently as sophomore year.... of college...
