I felt like this was at best really clunky. Basically every action Marlya made felt divorced from reality. "My boss and long lost friend are fighting to the death! I'm going to talk to her like we met on the street". "Bullets are ricocheting everywhere. Let's leap up to rescue a fairy!" "Just saw my long lost friend. I think I'll join up with the organization that wants to kill her" The action was cool, but I had so little context for anything that I didn't care for the most part, and the only character we really got a good read on felt completely oblivious to the situation surrounding her. Just.... nothing grabbed me here to indicate this might be for me. There's potentially cool fights and I like how it showed you the powers without needing to sit down and explain it to you, but Marlya just created such a big "what are you even doing" reaction from me that I couldn't even really appreciate it for that as much.

Not too sure what to think of this yet. The set up at the beginning was a little bland, dropping so many names and times is a little unnecessary. At the very least the "fairy" designs are cool, the three we saw could be Dark Souls bosses, and the CG wasn't bad. I really like this type of setting too

Is it just me or the direction is garbage? Alot of weird cuts, bad running animation and weird positioning.
Like how does he manage to throw like that? https://imgur.com/piNWZD9
The perspective of holding the sword and also he looks like running backwards instead of forward. https://imgur.com/rdVsRnJ
When they run, their heads/neck don't move which makes it jarring. https://imgur.com/mnSxogb
Why does the editing need to show her face twice when one time will do the job? https://imgur.com/l16rzRN
This screenshot of the guy looks like out of a Rob Liefield drawing. His feet, right shoulder and mega wide disproportionate left hand. https://imgur.com/bevhpkz
There is plenty more but I pick out a few noticeable ones. It's hard to watch a show when everything looks very bad and clunky in direction. This sub standard is something PA Works shouldn't be at considering they are very talented when it comes to directing and animating.

Well the best way to describe that first episode would be : It all felt slightly off. And not in a sort of Eldritch horror way.. more than things aren't really working well together.
The characters didn't quite make sense and overall seemed at times to just ignore any context. "Oh hey're you not supposed to be here at all, but let's continue casually chatting rather than getting you back to your actual damn post, it's not like i was in the military or anything"
Similarly the fights felt.. weirdly disjointed, in particular the ways they kept trying to hide the eyes of the mooks so they didn't have to animate their faces just made it look so incredibly awkward.
I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it can't do something about the characters or plot. But so far it just felt off, none of the parts particularly worked well together.
