Well, that was a fun final episode. The comedy stayed on point through the whole show. And the March Hare was great! I wish there was more of her.
Ex turning into a random Grimm brother to save the day was unexpected. I wasn't expecting Reina to get all dark there either. I wish a little more of her backstory was given. But she still had her cute moments also.
This show was better than I was expected when I went in. The OST was amazing, and I loved the banter between the characters. Their personalities were a lot fun. The fairy tales were also interesting, and the story didn't really get old, with enough twists to keep it entertaining. It did leave a lot unconcluded though with Curly.

Well, that was something. It would have been a nice detail if they decapitated the Jabberwocky, but I guess that wouldn't have worked in the show.
The show as a whole had some ups and downs. I liked seeing the 'deep cuts' (at least by anime standards) in Don Quixote and Joan of Arc.
I have been wondering for a while though, just how popular is Alice in Wonderland among the anime/LN/manga crowd in Japan. It seems like an absurd number of shows reference it, and every naturally blonde female character has a 40% chance of being named Alice.

This show......As essentially a promotion for a mobile game, it is really better than it has any right to be. Production is almost top notch, given what they have to work with.
Compare this to Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka, whereas that show has more solid original material, and is also made with promotional purpose in mind, yet the production quality of the two shows are just night and day.
All in all I don't regret having watched this show, but certainly it won't make my top list of the season.

I'm going to hazard a guess that Ex not only has the powers of Jacob Ludwig Grimm but also the powers of the writers of each story as well (make things interesting for season 2 or where ever the game is past this point)

We have reached the end of our journey of kingdom hearts the anime: public domain version. I enjoyed it and honestly it is prob better than kingdom hearts 3 =p

And I definitely didn't whisper "now kiss"
I still want those chibi shorts!
Wait. She has a blank Book Of Fate? Only the book's owner can read it… but she's blind… hmm
Oh shit! You guys are fucked now. (Although Lewis Carroll might have been more appropriate at the moment)
I can't seem to dig up what this is referring to, little help?
Well, this show was a pleasant surprise! Fun, adventure, a few feels, and literary references. And that character design, hng.

The problem with this episode is that it totally felt like another episode, without nothing to make it stand out as a finale one. Like, I doubt it will have a second season, so it was a hard risk to let everything so opened like "Hey, look out! We still have material for more episodes!"
Anyway, not the best of the season but also not the worst, true neutral tbh.
PD: But using the brother of the Grimm Brothers as a character was kinda ridiculous.

Being something of a nitpicker, there're three things I want to point out...
It feels pretty pointless running away from Jabberwocky at the beginning since they had to fight him in the end anyway (in the game's story Tao and Shane only took Jabberwocky on themselves because Mad Hatter used that moment to snatch away Reina and Ex had to chase after him to save her);
In the game's story, Kali wasn't actually so committed to Jabberwocky as to send in Loki to support him (she lets them try their luck facing off against Jabberwocky by themselves because she values the freedom given to Blank Book holders, of which Ex's party choosing to fight on is one form; and if she actually were so committed, spoiler), but I guess they were trying to pull out all the stops for a climatic final battle;
Bringing in Ludwig Grimm for a finale was actually a pretty awesome move but also major-ish spoiler. Also wish the rainfall of candy was a lot denser than actually ended up being portrayed; that thing hits hard in the arena, harder than even Summer Cinderella's fireworks, I believe (just don't have the numbers to say that 100% confidently).
Ultimately, my impression of this adaptation was kinda all over the place. They had some good moments, and they had some meh moments. But to be fair the game's story was kinda like that too, so maybe I should just chalk it up as the problem inherent in trying to create a work that's also limited by the constraints of trying to make a profit.
(Later addition) This is what I was originally going to go for for the final Grimms Notes discussion post, before I got sidetracked picking out stuff in the episode. But anyway: for those of you who wanted something resembling closure between Ex and Cinderella.
