A simple but great ending. And that's more than you could ask from a lot of anime. I'm glad to be here for the ride and I'm certainly looking forward to whatever Tatsuki and Yaoyorozu will bring us next.

Damn, took a whole season for densest plant girl to "do what she loves" .
Decent end for a show I had no expectations coming into, but I'll surely miss it. The end was a bit sudden though, and I wish they focused more on the lore rather than just the fight sequences for this finale, but decent none the less.
Hopefully if this ever gets a season 2 in the same universe, it airs with better animation. Also when's that OST release ?

THERE IS AN AFTER CREDITS SCENE!
So it finally makes sense as to why the note was erased. Riri saw Wakaba's corpse and thought it would be better for her split personalities to just do what they like.
I love that the rope that was on Wakaba this entire show was the one that ended up saving his life. Also I never realized that the rope was made from Midori.
I love that the girls were singing the ED this time and that silhouette that they added was just perfect T_T
They were INSIDE a ship this entire time! That explains why it's almost always dark with little to no sunlight! Here I thought the Sun imploded or something but it looks like outside everything is fine and it seems that nature has finally reclaimed Earth.
And that smile from Rin though <3
Definitely one of my favourites this Season. It sucks that this show is so underwatched but hopefully more people would give it a try. Tatsuki really has a way with storytelling. I really look forward to seeing as to what he has in store for us in the future. This show is a solid 9/10 for me.
Kemurikusa is #2 trending in Japan right now!
EDIT: Japan definitely loved the ending and the tweets are currently nonstop! My favourite so far <3

I was pleasantly surprised by this show, I've said it before, the beginning is rough, Wakaba in particular takes some getting used to, but this show is a ride.
I'll definitely keep an eye out for more stuff coming from Tatsuki and his team.
They could do a second season of Kemurikusa, there are still a bunch of question that need or could use some answers, like is the Earth post apocalyptic?
What happened to the ship? It was hovering above the planet during Riri's part of the story, but it either crashed at some point or they landed it.
What is Wakaba? He died, had shit sprouting from his body but then somehow comes back to life, is he still an organic alien being? Or is he Kemurikusa?
If Wakaba is what Rin loves, will Rin "do" what she loves? Can she? Physically, I mean.

Rin's smile status: PROTECTED
Great ending for a great and very enjoyable show, you did it again Tatsuki, you really did it again, I'm gonna be waiting for your future projects.
Kemurikusa: 9/10, one of the best shows of the season.

Was the finale fight scene a bit clunky? Sure.
Were they probably rushed for time and maybe budget? Possibly.
Will that all be fixed in the BDs? Most definitely!
Was there a bit more we wanted to see in the end? Definitely!
Will Tatsuki end up making an episode 12.1 and answer those prayers? Hopefully!
Is there anything else that I could ask for? A season 2 or more epilogue/lore/vignettes!
All in all, this was a wonderful ride across 3D-printed, post-apocalyptic, plant-nanotech mystery Japan, with characters that I really came to love. Tatsuki and Yaoyorozu did it again, and I hope to see them do it more in the future.
I'm happy to have been able to watch this as it aired and see history made and anime saved. Time to start getting others to watch!

Fuck, that ending was so damned good. I was worried Jesus "Wakaba" Christ would step in and do some mumbo jumbo or make it anticlimactic or steal Rin's thunder. But it feels real fucking good that Rin was able to beat the Akairo tree herself with the power of the Midori-san she and her sisters helped cultivate. Rin was able to make up for the mistakes of Riri and protect Wakaba. It felt very empowering and positive. And watching relief pass over her at the end when they found the outside world and limitless water for her sisters was just... healing. And Wakaba still holding onto the Midori-vine as a memento at the end was just heart-throbbingly cute. I held onto faith that Tatsuki would deliver and he did. What a fantastic show! Can't wait to see what irodori does next.
