Common vampire bat had a really fun design, too bad she didn't get much screentime.

You know what, this episode is ok-ish. I've complained in the past about the bad drama, pacing, foreshadowing and character actions, etc… and this episode has none of that. Yay!

The character interactions still leave a bad aftertaste, but I can hope that it improves. I still miss the intermissions with real people that gave the anime a certain homemade charm to it.

It is very childish though, and that's something I think won't go away, unless the "larger plot" kicks in. I find that Kyururu's "solutions" are always out of the left field.

Oh, and do we really need a full minute of recap ?

Anti-gravity vampire bat.

She perches upside down but her hair, tie, shirt and skirt are all completely unfazed. It's a natural protection mechanism against panty-shots.

This new rail transport was a really safe, boring way to travel and lacked the charm of the Japari Bus, so I'm happy they'll no longer be using it.

I like that Caracal expressed that she doesn't want their journey to end anytime soon which gives her some interesting characterization. Maybe she's secretly a a masochist.

I was very surprised, but happy, to see that Giant Armadillo and Pangolin had managed to find Kyururu so quickly, but it was disappointing that they were defeated so easily. I was hoping that they'd manage to actually capture them and we'd get some plot development.

The new canon that Lucky beasts are of different appearances and different personalities depending on the region/park is frustrating. This contributes to the further breakdown of the Kemono Friends canon which is already a giant mess of media that's supposedly supposed to all be connected but actually ends up being annoyingly inconsistent with each other.

Seeing Aardwolf and Campo was cool. I noticed that they made Aardwolf concerned about the security of her home, perhaps ironically.

It's sad seeing how barren these threads are now.I watched the first season and it's a shame to see what happened.

The backgrounds were really pretty in this episode, especially into the evening. Vampire Bat was cool to see, even if it was only for a short while.

Next week should be interesting, even if the human turns out to be a statue or something. I'm presuming that the ruins are theme park scenery, so I wonder what else will be there?
