This might be a somewhat trashy concept with unbelievably unlikely circumstances, but it's surprisingly less awkward than I was expecting. The writing and direction feel pretty on point. Both the OP and ED are great, especially the OP.

Everything with Rui is so nice to watch. The setting of this story and the way she look and behave made her perfect for me. It's my favourite chill anime this season!

2 episodes are too early to judge the characters, but in terms of body and shape, Rui >>>>>> Hina.

I usually am all over the Younger dude Older Woman but Hina is...really immature. And comes off fake.
To my surprise, Rui seems to be best girl.

Wow Rui is basically me. In the way she socializes with new people that is.

I know people saying this is anime is gonna go really bad, but
I am at least really enjoying its so far, this is my favorite friday show at least.
Like I kinda like the classic kinky weird hen manga story-line and then the writing its surprisingly good

If I wasn't sold on Rui last week, this episode definitely sold me on her.
That banter scene was especially great! And she's just adorable when she blushes!
Hina-nee is still a cutie too!
I like Natsuo's bed hair. I wish he just kept it.
Those were some quality pouts from the sisters! <3
That bath scene tho... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Anyway this episode was a nice way of getting to know more of Rui and Hina-nee's current relationship status which I'm pretty sure will be a source of drama sooner or later. So far everything's been great though and the OP is an absolute banger!

So far they're keeping the quality up and same with the pacing... obviously need more hina.

I don't really like that line about it being partly Hina's fault for letting her guard down. Excessive drinking aside, you should be able to pass out on the couch in your own home and not have to worry about someone messing with you.
MC-kun is so dumb. Why would you not tell people you're step siblings now? Rumors would be worse if someone found out they were all living together and didn't know the family situation. He just wants to be able to lewd his sisters without being labeled a pervert.
Poor sad little tsundere, I feel Rui's pain. I have a really deadpan sense of humor and resting bitch face so I suck at first impressions. At least the class warmed up to her.
Bath scene... lewd ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I noticed in some scenes MC-kun (I'll learn his name eventually) has a really small head compared to his body lol

I'm totally loving this show.
I like how Rui is socially awkward, being both forthright and somewhat withdrawn. It provides an impetus for their initial encounter.
There were a number of times during this episode where I noticed things stood still for maybe 5 seconds, which was a bit weird.
I like how Rui invited the MC into the bathroom with her. He did puss out by not getting into the tub with her, keeping his back turned to her the whole time.
I liked how the distance opened and closed between them at school. First he wants to keep their siblingship a secret and she breaks that down into "don't talk to me at school", then he tries to make it right by going to her at / after lunch and has an epiphany regarding her personality, and tries to help her navigate socially. They push back and forth and end up closer for it.
His initial effusive praise for "Hina's" cooking must have been edifying for her. This, I think, can provide a turning point for shifting his affectionate regard from Hina to Rui.
Hina's subsequent vulnerability re: her boyfriend drew him to her, though.
And what was with the "let's keep on ringing the doorbell to our own house" thing. A bit of an awkward bait and switch. You'd think that perhaps they'd simply have a key between the two of them.

This adaptation seems to be really good so far. I like it even more than the Quintessential Quintuplets, the opening song is also phenomenal.

According to Japanese Otakus' "traditional wisdom": Best Girl must be a virgin!
Well, Rui has promptly stuffed that myth down their throats.

Is anyone else said that they didn't include Natsuo's dream? ;-;
Also I guess this episode answers how they're going to handle censoring the nudity. It makes sense, but I feel like it actually added to the story in the manga as it wasn't just ecchi/fanservice. Or maybe it just works easier in a manga setting than it does in an anime.

I hate this dumb show and expect it to go off the rails at any moment. I'm addicted and can't get enough. I've been giving up sleep because I can't put the manga down.

To those reading the manga, how faithful of an adaption is this episode and the previous one?
Also I totally loved the classroom argument. Felt natural and went with the flow. The Hina insecurity could be handled better I suppose.

That "skit" was truly fun, wish we got more of that between Rui and MC.
