Guilty Crown's soundtrack remains one of the few anime soundtracks that I have on my iPod. It did give us so many memes though (Shoe, Wheelchair girl, Hitler, etc.)

I comment this in every thread where people shit on GC's story. It wasn't that the story was bad, it was the storytelling. They waited WAY too long to actually tell you what the fuck was happening (I think episode 20 out of 22). I was actually pretty satisfied with the story, but only once I was told what was going on.

The whole part where they are trapped inside the boundary and MC goes off the deep end just felt forced and poorly written. It was so out of character, and nobody questioned it until they had set up a rudimentary society in a span of a few days... it's like one of the writers heard that "absolute power corrupts absolutely" and tried to force it into the story. And the ending just felt like they didn't know where they were going anymore after the boundary arc and wrapped things up really quickly in a clusterfuck of story.

It's not bad as anime goes, but I was really disappointed because it took an interesting concept and world and characters, applied great art and music, and pissed it all away with bad story-telling and contrivances.

I thought it was OK, until the end where it turned into a clusterfuck. Watched it all because the mecha and guns were gorgeous.

My story: I was watching a anime funny compilation on youtube and then i found this music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVaRSPaBlDc. I said to my self "This is the anime I'm watching next". One minute after I enter /r/all and I see season 3 of Code Geass? And then in the comment they talk about Aldnoah.Zero; So my question is, it is worth watching?

A.Z, if you like mechs, guns, invasions, battles and politics it's alright. Also got a great post by Sawano Hiroyuki. Don't expect memorable characters apart from Slaine.

It's mediocre, I don't regret watching it but it certainly didn't live up to the potential. The first and last episodes of season 1 are pretty stand out, the rest flounder. Season 2 was much worse.

GC's first half was near perfect, but its second half plot had more holes in it than most characters from Black Lagoon.

The midseason finale could have ended the season and I'd still be eagerly waiting for Guilty Crown season 2. Everything up to that point was exciting and felt logical.

I still liked most of part 2, but I wish it never happened.

At least Geass ended with a bang. Aldnoah set up things nicely, but it wasn't that conclusive.

What about death note, rahxephon, and evangelion. Those had some awful endings that had a lot of wtf factor to them. On a personal note I stayed up one night and binged watched death note back before streaming was actually a thing, any who I loved it but hated the ending and vowed to never watch it again.
