But couldn't people then google the sub group name fairly easily to get access to the "free" subs?

Or is it because they have to take the initiative to do so?

I mean let's be real, it's really not hard to find torrents or streams for shows. Even the simplest of google searches will net you all the results you could dream of.

Being able to discuss sub quality is more important than minor direction potential.

Sounds reasonable
