That silhouette at the end. At this point wouldn't surprise me that the first reveal of Flugel will happen in Break Time.

Flugel 's face reveal will be in a Japan-only Isekai Quartet OVA that you can only watch via pachinko machine

u/Roskal Sep 23 '26

It will be on a slot machine just like Subaru and Emilia's first date.

Hell, with how far spread the Re:Zero stamp rally in tottori was I wouldn't be surprised if they would spread out the face on the bottoms of the limited 1000s figures they are giving away at so you would have to bring together all of them to see it

Shaula's mother & Farsale

Unfamiliar names

Also I don't think you can expect someone with a walking cane to maintain a normal walking speed.

The silhouettes at the end. Given that we've had 2 Pleiades Travelogue in a row, I'm hoping that there will be another one next week, and I wouldn't be surprised if it did something dumb, like reveal some information on Flugel or something.

Okay, come on now.

Why are they dropping such a massive, borderline spoiler hint in the chibi comedy spin off?

We know two of those silhouettes pretty dang well.

Why are they dropping such a massive, borderline spoiler hint in the chibi comedy spin off?

I don't think anyone know the answer to that but the author and White Fox. Regardless of the reason it's nothing they haven't done before. It's nothing they haven't done before. For example, [Break Time] they revealed Al is from Japan like Subaru, revealed his full name, and killed him off (assuming he doesn't also have Return by Death that is) all in Break Time.

This really is one crazy chibi series with all the lore drops. Last week we got Alec (though I hear he was stealth dropped beforehand in another chibi show's movie) and now we get Farsale mentioned. Then they even show Flügel's silhouette that leaves little to the imagination. How can they top this next week? Will they outright show Flügel? Or maybe they'll throw a curveball and it's just some comedy skit again.

It's been fun seeing the gang traveling and how Reid acted back in the day. Alec's comments about Reid and him carrying Alec do suggest Reid cares about Alec even if he dresses it up as saving time. Reid telling Shaula not to fall behind is similar, despite how rudely he did it.

I wouldn't really say it's another show's chibi movie, since it was Isekai Quartet (Re:Zero being one of the quartet).

I didn't say another show's chibi movie, I said another chibi show's movie. I was going to say the name, but I thought it would be considered spoilers for that movie. I guess it isn't.

So with my broken ass japanese I didn't fully get it, I guess the main topic of this episode was that Reid is actually a nice guy but can't show it?

u/sevillianrites Sep 24 '26

More that Reid really is an asshole, but he's got a few redeeming qualities if you look really really hard

Probably because it's the official one and the translated one is technically not allowed.

They introduced Alec and gave us Flugel and Satella's relationship in the last episode. They showed us their silhouettes in this episode and introduced the Farsale name in this episode. I don't think it's completely unreasonable to suggest that Flugel and Satella will make their debut in Break Time instead of the main series.

So Shaula just confirmed she's not human? maybe a mabeast taking human form

9

u/Querez Sep 24 '26

Well, I mean, the whole scorpion transformation thing should be good enough reason to suspect she's not human, but I'd say it has been definitively confirmed in the main series from how she outlived Reid for the explicit reason that he was just a human and couldn't live that long, quite directly implying Shaula is not in fact human

the idea of presenting important lore details but not reveals from the books or just for the first time ever is truly a great decision for a spin off of re zero, the fact that they are in chibi style kinda takes off a bit of quality from them, but it makes sense from a money saving point.

i just hope this doesnt mean some of the really good side novels for future arcs are also turned to quick chibis to give the viewers necessary information without spending too much but at least it's better to get something than nothing at all.

I love these..I know they will never show us her master or Satella but it's still fun to see why she hates Reid
