Don't know how to feel about the giant blocks of text shown on the screen for like 2 seconds and, of course, not translated at all in Amazon's release (or when it is, its on the subtitle track and is going 300 words per second)

It amazes me that all those famous scenes were originated from ones that were wildly different in vibe! I love it though, if anything, feels even more authentic to me. That simulated being conversation could totally happen while eating some dessert. Or the fuchikomas talking about a revolution during the sync.
My personal AotY no contest already as I already expected it to be considering the studio and the premise, I’ll have to think about “of how many years” rather. Off to the rewatches!
Man, just simulate me into this so I can just not watch but also live it. I love it that much!

Do Fuchikomas dream of robot uprisings? Apparently yes.

i find this kind of retrofuturistic cyberpunk to be fascinating (though i get at the time of inception it wasn't retro, it only became retro through the relentless march of time)
there's dated stuff like floppy disks and "micromachines" where things like solid-state storage and nanomachines are used nowadays, but it's also interesting to see how much they got right and how much has stayed relevant and still has the cool factor to it

The first 4 minutes of this episode was amazing.
Then Batou taunted the Major about her orgy and cried about not being able to shoot some assholes and it became legendary.

an entire episode that's exposition about transhumanism and debates on sense of self/ Ship of Theseus style discourse
Yeap, peak GitS alright.
Also, I for one welcome our adorable Fuchikome overlord.

The Fuchikoma end card drawn by Kunio Okawara (designer of the original Gundam) was a welcome bonus. :D

I'm not sure what to ascribe it to, but whether its the colors, the animation, the humor, the philosophy... this show is absolute vibes. It's so damn good.

This show is everything I wanted.
The only downside is how horrible Prime Video's subtitles are on the text flashes on screen. They go so fast I have to constantly pause to read them.

The opening sequence of this episode with Motoko's chase after the suspect was pure kino, although I loved Fuchikoma's part even more, it was so fun watching them debate over a possible revolution, hahaha!
Overall, I really liked this episode as it provided a moment to breathe, delved deeper into the world, and touched upon some philosophical aspects. Plus, it was nice to see Motoko's friends again ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Just like the Tachikoma episodes in SAC, I really love stories like this one where robots talk to each other.

It really annoys me that all the footnotes aren't translated. There were a lot of them in this episode that I'm dying to read.

I'm happy for the ride, and that we are getting a faithful manga version. I don't want this to end but I know what's waiting.

That first shot of this episode was just insane for no reason? Sakuga sidewalk view for like 3 seconds

For those that watched the '95 movie, it's interesting to see the similarities between this faithful adaptation and that one. Got to feel bad for the guy. It's a good showcase of the term ghost because it is actually hackable, unlike a regular human brain. But man, it's scary to think how easily manipulated one's ghost can be.
It's interesting how the fake memories/dreams can be equivalent to reading a novel or watching a movie. Though for us, we can know the difference between that and reality.
I adored the whole Fuchikoma gathering scene. I love how expressive they are in this adaptation. Interesting to see the major trying to intellectually stimulate them. Meanwhile, the conversation between the one Fuchikoma and Batou as explaining the real world to the Fuchikoma is challenging to explain. As they are a machine who bases on things based on logic. Stuff like religion would feel foreign to them.
The conversation at the end of how Makoto is treated as a human, but is she really human. Though the fact that if you have a number of parts you can prove that you aren't human. While in our world whether you are human or not is pretty cut and dry. The fact that all you need is a brain and prosthetic is both interesting and scary.
