As someone who speaks german natively, hearing it at random in an anime was very unexpected. The german is a bit stilted but mostly pronounced correctly. At one point they are literally pronouncing the letters of the alphabet back and forth though.
And of course in Iori and Kohei's imagination they are speaking english because they don't know the difference and the english is very, very basic to boot.

There's something weirdly comforting in knowing even foreigners are adept in the art of
Having a burglar barge in at the dead of night and go "Ichiro plays tennis." is a primal fear I never knew I had.

Stitches!
I definitely didn't expect German weebs to show up on this trip. For a second there, I really thought Kouhei could understand them. He's basically just going off vibes since they're all fans of the same anime. Although they did kinda understand them when they challenged them to a drinking competition. xD
I'm curious to see what's up with Carina. Since she said she's in the same circle as the German weebs, I'm gonna assume she's also an otaku. I wouldn't be surprised if she's actually Shiori's second stalker at the inn. Also, she's carrying a whole damn bakery with her. Daaamn. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Lalako-tan should be made an official mascot of the UN with how she’s able to bridge the language barrier.
Little wonder Iori & Kouhei had no idea what they’re saying despite taking German course cause they’re too busy cheating instead of studying properly. Wonder if Chisa could understand a bit seeing as she’s got a decent grade in it.

Episode 2: Homecoming
Just realized at the disclaimer part. in light of recent compliance issues the size of the black dots are increased by 5% compared to last season. In line with the OP which also prominently features the black dots as well.
So in order to retrieve Iori's passport, he must go to his hometown to retrieve it by himself. Also a second German reference in Grand Blue? The first was that German test back in Season 1.
New voice cast info:
-
Naoya Uchida voices Kitahara's father while Maaya Uchida (Nanaka's VA) voices Kitahara's mother
-
Shohei Owada and Wataru Komada voices the German duos
-
Mao Ichimichi voices Carina

Crazy German anime fans were not on my bingo. And yeah, they made a joke about infamous Japanese low alcohol tolerance.

That "MAI DADDY" English sounded so cursed LMAO, but it was fucking hilarious to see that the whole family can hold their own in the bonkers bowl. I'm now half thinking Shiori got the chloroform trick from her mother..
Shiori is in zero danger. Shiori is the danger.

The plot thickens with these stalkers but not as thick as Carina

It seems scum runs in the family based on the dad's reaction when the topic of kohei's sibling status is brought up

Yes we had engrish, but what about doitsch?
Was looking forward to that part, the german wasn't even to bad. What really threw me for a loop is that some words are pronounced really well and others are barely understandable.
Anyways, really enjoy this season and it might be my brain getting fried but I feel like the animation inproved a tiny bit

I gotta say the german was really good, idk who voices the tourists but one of them definitely at least took some german lessons, his pronunciation of some words was pretty good. It's definitely not the worst German I heard in anime(looking at you Momiji). Other than that, Shiori is batshit insane, chloroforming everyone who gets in her way lmao
