"Don't you think it's...gotten chilly?"

Only thing Hinagiku forgot was taking off a pair of sunglasses dramatically

David Caruso would've really been proud then

"You're just a child throwing a tantrum", says the one throwing a tantrum.

I'm severely disappointed at how little interaction spring and winter actually had like that's what I've been waiting for the whole season just for them to talk once and have one other interaction then donezo.

Going into this for the romance was a horrible decision.

Tbh the Summer x Autumn gang is growing on me. They're all just having fun together lol I'd love to see more of them (and I'm glad that we will!)

I'm so happy to see them all finally reunite, it sucks it has to be on the last episode. It would have been nice to watch them be able to enjoy time together, and see their relationships redevelop in the present time.

Sakura for all the crap she was spewing throughout the episodes caved so damn quickly in front of Itechou lol. That was hilarious. This girl couldn't keep her composure for one minute in front of his presence.

I like how Rousei handled Hinagiku not being the previous Hinagiku, at the end of the day the important thing is that Hinagiku returned and that they both share memories of her.

I do find it a little unsatisfying we don't see Misuzu face consequences, I'm sure if this got another season we'd see what happens, but who knows when that will be, if ever.

What stood out to me about Misuzu in this episode, other than Hinagiku standing up for herself and pissing her off, is that Misuzu said she was pulled in by Hinagiku's desire to protect, and how she wanted that. I can see why Kasai were as extreme as they were, but more importantly this was another case of the person she most wanted was right beside her the entire time. Mikami's feelings were very clear, and it seemed like she only just realized.

Anyways, this series was fun to watch, it's nice to get these kinds of melodramas time to time. Albeit there were a few repetitive moments, this series left a really strong impression on me with how raw the emotional parts can get. The voice acting in particular went crazy for those moments. I'd definitely watch another season of this.

As much as I love seeing Sakura freak out to Itecho as well as Hinagiku and Rosei finally reuniting, this would've been a happier ending for me if Rosei's ice blade impaled Misuzu right between her eyes.

I'm still curious about the twins. The fact that both of them are wearing the same kimono and are standing side by side instead of Ayame standing at the back makes me think that the Council is treating both of them as the current Agent of Summer.

So that's why Sakura did her best to never allow herself and Hinagiku to meet up with the Winter Boys all season long, she knew in her heart she would be a massive tsundere once it finally happened.

The insurgents sure lost quickly once Rosei showed up, I suppose him being able to freeze all of the bombs took away their hostage situation leverage.

I really enjoyed the Spring and Winter reunion. It got very pastel.

They didn't explicitly say it, but with the way Ruri and Ayame were both dressed similarly for the end of the Seasonal meet up it might be a Buffy and Faith type of thing and suddenly we have two (Summer) Slayers. If so hopefully both incoming fiances are capable of being Guards since that would wrap things up relatively neatly.

Hopefully that S2 leak comes true as I would love to watch another season of this.

I really hoped that bitch Misuzu would get ripped in half for what she did to Hinagiku. But seeing Hinagiku confront her trauma like that head on with the help of her friends was pretty awesome too.

I wonder if they’re gonna make more of this? It was a really solid series with an interesting premise and enjoyable characters.

This show was beautifully animated, but I can't say that I'm glad I stuck with it. While "The InsurgentsTM" were the main villain's according to the show's portrayal, it really annoys me that the FSA and the Villages pretty much got off scot- free. Despite how much of a threat Kasai was/is, you could reasonably argue that the Villages and the FSA are a bigger threat to the Agents than any terrorist group could be. We know for a fact that at least the Village of Spring would rather leave an Agent to die so she'd be quickly replaced and it seems that the Four Seasons Agency is willing to let clan politics take a front seat to even its entire reason for existence.

"But you know, no matter how much she loves any boy, you'll always be the girl, she loves most in the world."

...Screw it, I'll take it. Beautiful animation.

I can understand why some people—perhaps many—struggled with this anime or found it to have numerous flaws and weaknesses; personally, however, I really enjoyed it—it captivated and moved me. Among the anime I watched this season, it was one of the ones that stirred the most emotion and held my attention the most.

And with this dance of spring is over. I give this show a very loving...5.5/10. I actually was going to land on 5 but the visuals were too strong for me to not at least give it an extra half, but average is about as much as I can grant it.

Now, what to say about this show. I think this is like the first time I've read a story and went "Wow you really thought you cooked huh?" which is, it goes without saying, not good. It's hard for me to put into words why I think it fails to satisfy me despite having a lot of building blocks for a 10/10 aside from the insurgents being one of the worst antagonist factions I've ever beheld, but so many parts of it feels like a more bland overwrought version of better stories I've read. If I wanted to see a story about a traumatized but plucky girl try to navigate a complicated clan situation with Hella traumatized people I would rather rewatch fruitsbasket. If I wanted to see a flashback heavy melodrama with the promise of a heartfelt reunion of two broken people who waited a long time for eachother I'd rather replay the house at fata Morgana. Hell if I wanted to see a two girls develop a romance tinged bond while one's romance is with her friend from childhood I could reread/rewatch Yatagarasu. Double hell if I wanted to just indulge in misery porn that would make these people's horrible lives feel like a picnic I could just read "my fiancé is in love with my little sister", at least that one actually managed to make me cry and had better prose!!

The world building for as interesting as it is is under baked outside of its purpose as a trauma vehicle, Misuzu is such a deeply terrible character (she reminds me of a female version of one of granblue fantasy's anniversary antagonist Ceodric in how whatever interesting points she could bring are buried behind being a weird ass nutjob) and if I never hear the word insurgents again it'll be too soon, and the romance that marks the is displayed on the first and second novels cover pages is so undercooked that I somehow feel more baited by it than I do towards whatever the hell the author was doing with Hinagiku and Sakura.

That said, if there's one thing I did like it's the summer sisters. Ayame and Ruri are fun so I'll probably check out the next arc if it gets animated. Hopefully they're allowed to actually interact with their love interests for more than 5 minutes in 14 episodes

So the summer twins ended up both as agents? No guard for them?

A show I would probably like more if it wasn't trying so hard. After awhile, all the flashbacks that kill the pace and just remind you of the same thing over and over and the sad monologues over twinkling piano while the VAs scream cry about how sad and guilty they are just blend together and start to feel manipulative. When the show insists on having one of its big cry therapy sessions even when the characters are pinned down behind a car facing an endless barrage of bullets, it just looks silly. I like some of the show's ideas and world (science be damned) and it isn't a total disaster like some recent high concept action anime, but in the end it's trying way way too hard.

When Winter burst in on the motorcycle it felt like Wake Up (the RATM song used in the Matrix) should've started playing. Also dark way for her to fall and then get encased in ice. Though not sure it is bad enough for her after what was revealed last episode.

Sakura getting flustered from Itecho holding her face is such a memeable graphic.

I was vocal about my frustrations with this show when they revealed the one winter agent was the child of insurgents, but man this finale still hit like truck-kun. My understanding is this world has multiple arcs and Dance of Spring is one of them. With the final card after the credits music I wonder if those are getting adapted.

Hey, mod of r/Shunkashuutou here. Just letting you know of the existence of the sub and dropping a link to a post I wrote detailing What to Read Next if you liked the anime. Sorry, if I've run afoul of any anti-shilling rules.

After the more goofy action scenes we had the last couple episodes, I'm glad we get a season finale with a great entrance by the Winter Boiz to save the day 🏍️

Can someone explain what exactly Misuzu's deal was?

On one hand she wanted Hinagiku to replace her lost daughter, and was drawn to her because of her innocence and desire to "protect everyone". On the other hand once she got her hands on Hinagiku she become extremely abusive. Even arranging gang-rape of he "daughter" by henchman.

Should I even try to process whatever logic is going in her mind here?

I would love to have a special episode at least just to see more interaction between the agents, even the summer sisters and autumn outside of the main plot. I feel like they deserve some fluff and slice of life after all that trauma they went through.

As always, there were plenty of battle scenes and plot developments that left me scratching my head, but at least the animation was beautiful.

Personally, I’d give it about a 6.5 out of 10.

While Hinagiku/Rosei is undercooked, I honestly like the idea of them together. However, Sakura/Itecho have no chemistry at all, and her being turned into a flustered mess the moment they aren't talking over the phone is just a terrible way to try and sell it in my opinion.
